Third POV.

“How are you feeling?” Aiden asked Leila as he got in her new room.

“I am fine. I am not in pain, you don’t need to worry,” Leila said with a smile on her face to assure him that there was no problem.

Aiden looked at her for sometime before returning her smile.

“I am worried that you might not be comfortable so I came to check on you,” Aiden said as he scratched his head as if he was afraid of her misunderstanding him.

Seeing that, Leila chuckled as she shook her head.

“There is no need of feeling shy when talking to me,” she said with a smirk, making Aiden shocked.

“Well, now that you’ve already misunderstood me, maybe I should take revenge on what you’ve done!” Aiden said as he moved towards her making Leila take steps backwards as her eyes flashed worry.

“Y..you…what do you want to do?” Leila asked shakingly and in fear.

“Thought that you were so strong but you are now afraid, huh! I never thought of that,” Aiden said as he stood where he was as he gazed at her.

“You are the reason why I am like this! Get out of my room,” Leila said in a low tone but it was enough for Aiden to hear her.

“Mate, you are so lucky that you aren’t feeling well. If nothing had happened, I would have already marked you! I want everyone to know that you belong to me and only me,” he said as he took a step forward, holding Leila under his embrace and in the process shocking her.

“You animal!” she shouted as she gritted her teeth.

“You are also an animal babe. After all, aren’t you my mate?” Aiden asked her with a smirk on her face and his lips on her left ear teasing her.

“Y .. yo … you.. This isn’t right at all! Get out of here before I scream,” she warned him but the words came out as a whisper making Aiden chuckle.

He kissed her lips before looking at her face.

“Now, who is blushing between the two of us?” He asked, making Leila speechless as she understood what he was doing all this while.

“Aiden, I hate you! You shameless animal!” she said angrily as she hit his chest.

“Calm down. You are still sick thus you should mind what you are doing to avoid hurting yourself,” he said as he grabbed her hands.

“Did you know that I was sick when you were doing whatever you were? Get out of here! I don’t want to see you,” Leila said, making Aiden sigh in desperation.

“You are so ungrateful! Maybe I should carry out my rights as your mate so that you can know your place,” he said in an angry and at the same time calm voice but she felt a cold shiver running down her spine.

“Yo … you can’t,” she said hurriedly as she tried to fly herself.

Seeing that she might hurt herself as she struggled to escape, Aiden lifted her up and took her to the bed and laid her down.

“No… please Aiden, I will stop teasing and making fun of you but don’t do that,” she said in fear.

“I wasn’t going to do anything to you in the first place. This is my bedroom. I don’t know why you were brought here,” he said with an irritated look.

Hearing this, Leila was so shocked. She wondered whether he would think that she was here to seduce her or not but she was too afraid to open her mouth and explain herself.

Looking at her panicking expression and everything, Aiden felt as if she was so cute and he couldn’t help himself from pinching her cheeks.

“Ouch,” she said as she glared at him.

“You can’t blame me for that when you are so cute,” Aiden said as he attempted to pinch her once more only for Leila to slap his hands away before covering her face with her hands. Aiden chuckled as he shook his head.

“Have you taken a shower? If not, you can join me,” he said as he winked at her making Leila blush in shame.

“You bastard! You are so dirty-minded,” she shouted.

“Only when it comes to you,” Aiden said once more with a wink.

“Since you haven't responded to my question then I will take it as a no and carry you to the tub,” he said as he got ready to pick her up.

Hearing and seeing what he wanted to do, Leila panicked a little bit, making her drag her body far from him.

“Okay then, since you don't do that then I am going alone. I will be out in some minutes,” he said as he got out of the bed, turning around and walking towards the washroom door.

“When I was coming up, didn’t you tell me that you were taking a shower? An hour hasn’t passed yet you are already going back there? Or is there something wrong with you?” she asked as she eyed him.

Listening to her words, Aiden halted but did not turn to look at her.

“What? So ashamed to even look at me? Or have you messed up on yourself?” she asked as she looked at his pants.

Aiden wondered what he should tell her or do to her so that she can stop saying all that rubbish. He knew that if he ended up looking at her once more, he might not be able to control himself and might do something to her and she wasn’t ready for that thus he opted to continue walking.

Seeing his reaction and him ignoring her, Leila was so angry that she wished she would just kill him but knew that was impossible.

“I swear if you dare step forward again and ignore me, I will reject you,” she blurted out.

Immediately the words were said, the room temperature became cold making Leila flinch as she wondered what was wrong. When Aiden turned around, he walked towards her. Without even giving her time to process what was happening.

“I will show it to you instead of answering your question."
