Chapter 129: Chapter 129
Third POV.
“Why did I even marry you in the first place?” Erebus continued cussing at the woman making everyone halt what they were doing and looked at him.
They had never seen him be so angry before thus it was quite shocking.
Lyannette looked at her father in amusement and knew that with things escalated to this point, he might make them suffer so much. Now, she indeed understood her value and position in her father’s heart.
“Dear, what are you saying? Don’t forget that I am even more pure than you! You have darkness in you which causes you to be evil. Can’t you think that it was the darkness inside them that made them be how they are now? Be so malicious and have the urge to see blood?” the wife asked, making Erebus even more furious.
“You woman! I will kill you today!” he shouted angrily but the woman just rolled her eyes as she wasn’t afraid of death cause she knew that she would still die today even if she remained silent.
“I know that even if you won’t kill me your precious daughter will,” she answered sarcastically.
“Look, you want to kill me yet you claim my kids are the devils. Can’t you see you are the biggest devil here? You have darkness in you thus you are supposed to understand what happens when your darkness has the urge to kill,” she defended her kids cause she didn’t want anything bad to happen to them.
“Nonsense! The urge to kill even your own sister? The urge to see your sister’s blood on the ground and her lifeless body? Is that what you are trying to say? Stop justifying those shameless kids!” Erebus said as he breathed deeply and his heart beat faster than before.
“Sister? She is not their sister! She is just a bastard who was born to take away their position and their father’s love from them,” the woman retorted as she felt that Erebus was the shameless one as he kept defending his bastard.
These words added to Erebus' fury as he wondered why he had not killed the woman yet cause he didn’t want to hear anything negative about his precious daughter.
“Lyannette also has darkness in her, so why didn’t she kill them? If they had a bit of self-control and they were obedient, they won’t be doing such despicable things,” he added as he felt he was going to suffer from a severe headache.
“Oizys wouldn’t have done what she did if it wasn’t for what you instructed her! You told her to end every werewolf and lycan. Do you really think that the mission can be accomplished when Lyannette is still alive? She is those people’s protectors, thus she would protect them so well. Although don’t forget that Lyannette is stronger than Oizys. She would be a threat down there if she continued living,” the woman explained, making Erebus speechless cause he knew that what she was saying was right.
“Now, although Lyannette was killed and can’t go back there during the fight, her kids are so strong thus Oizys has to find ways to suppress and control the girls so that they can help her win the battle! You told her to do anything she needed to do so as to accomplish the mission yet now you are blaming her,” The woman added as she looked at him with disdain
“If it weren’t for your instructions and greed to have Selene in your palm, Oizys wouldn’t have killed Lyannette. Instead of blaming Oizys, I and the other kids for being heartless then why can’t you acknowledge that they truly took after you, not even me?”
“You want to play the good father picture in front of Lyannette and Selena? Dream on!” she added with a sneer.
“You are the one who killed your own daughter, not Oizys. Blame yourself and stop blaming my daughter when she was trying to do what you asked her and prove to you that she is worth being your daughter!” the woman said angrily and loudly.
By this time, Erebus' anger had reached its peak and he couldn’t tolerate it anymore.
Out of anger, he took out the sword on the nearest warrior's waist and swiftly lifted it.
After some seconds, a loud bang was heard making everyone look in the direction only to find that he had separated his wife’s body and head and his face was full of her blood as it had splashed on him.
They looked at him as if he was a devil but Lyannette wore a satisfying look. Seeing the smile on her face, Selene could only sigh as she knew that that was Lyannette’s darkness and not Lyannette herself but she couldn’t do it as forcibly getting rid of the darkness would bring an end to her daughter’s life and she couldn’t bear losing her.
“Serves you right! You should always know your place. You caused your own death by talking back at me while trying to justify your kids and reprimanding me. Also, for trying to kill my beloved woman,” Erebus said as he wiped the blood on his face but Selene and her father looked at her in disgust.
Lyannette looked at the satisfying face and grin and rolled her eyes as she knew that the old man wouldn’t last for even a week but she knew that she had to take one step at a time.
She put an innocent, pitiful yet arrogant look before walking towards Erebus.
“Dad, do you now believe us?” she asked in a low soft voice which made Erebus even feel more guilty.
To him, it seemed that Lyannette didn’t blame him at all for everything that had happened. He had killed the woman in fear that she might continue spouting nonsense, making his daughter despise him and even start seeking revenge on him. Now seeing her look and hearing her tone, she sighed inwardly as she hadn’t listened to the stupid woman. He felt that did a great thing and couldn’t care whether he killed everyone as long her daughter didn’t hate him at all.
“I am sorry honey. I wanted to change and be a good person thus I stopped always thinking bad about people. Also, I hoped that there was some good in them,” he said with an apologetic face but Lyannette and Selene sneered inwardly as they had already seen through his thoughts.
“Dad, you have only avenged mom but not me,” Lyannette said as she pretended to be angry at him which made Erebus sigh.
Although he claimed that he could kill the rest of his kids, it was still a hard thing for him. After all, they had his blood running in their body. Also, he knew very well that apart from them, Lyannette will never do anything he asks her to do. She is so loyal to her mom and not to him.
He was afraid that Lyannette would see his troubles, hate him then eventually take revenge on him. With this, he was more willing to sacrifice Oizys as to him, even if she dies, he will send another kid down there to finish off the work.
Selene and her family looked at him and could tell that he was troubled as he didn’t want to. Seeing this, their eyes turned cold as they felt they had underestimated Erebus obsession over Selene and overestimated Lyannette’s value in his life.
“If you don’t wanna do it then don’t. After this don’t approach me or even my kids. They don’t know that they have such a grandfather and I don’t want them to be disappointed. Oizys, I will kill her myself and if I won’t be able cause I can’t go down there, my kids are strong enough to avenge me. Also, my husband Elius is still on earth thus if you think that you will be successful in your evil plans then I am sorry to ruin it,” Lyannette said coldly, shocking Erebus cause he has never heard her talking in that tone.
From it, he could detect that he had already made both her and her darkness. He knew that nothing he said would help out at all.
“If you dare send any other person on earth to ruin my mom’s creation then be aware that you will become my enemy and I will hunt you,” Lyannette added coldly as she turned around and left.
“Guess I have to summon and kill Oizys to make Lyannette happy.”
