Chapter 123: Chapter 123
Third POV
“What are you going to do to me?” Leila asked, panicking.
Although she went there on purpose she was still afraid that her plans might not work causing her, her wolf and darkness to perish.
The more she saw the wicked grin on Oizys the more anxious she became as she wondered why the woman was behaving differently after invading her memory.
“Aunt, please don’t do this to me,” she said as she cried and hid herself in a dark corner but she knew that that was just useless.
“Don’t be nervous my dear. We who have the Erebus blood in their veins, we got a secret.
“Which secret?” Leila asked in confusion and curiosity in her eyes.
“Have you ever noticed that your blood is black?” Oizys said shocking Leila as she had never cared so much about what color her blood was but she clearly remembered that when Elana was stabbed, her blood wasn’t red as other people’s blood as it was rather darker than usual but still had some purplish in it.
“No,” she answered after some time of thinking.
“Sorry, I forgot that you are his granddaughter not daughter! Did you ever find a chance to see your mother’s blood?” Oizys asked.
Hearing this, Leila was taken back to when her mother died. If she remembered correctly, some black fluid spattered on the rogue’s face but at that time, she was so anxious and in pain cause of seeing her mother dying in front of her.
“Guess you did from your expression,” Oizys said with a smug on her face as Leila’s eyes had a bit of sadness in them while her face was full of anger and shock.
“It isn’t pure black of cause. But it is black cause we have darkness inside us. Let me show it to you,” Oizys said, making Leila roll her eyes cause she didn't understand what was so good about showing off your pitch black eyes.
To Leila’s surprise, Oizys took a dagger from her waist and cut her palm making her bleed. She then folded the hand making blood spit on the ground with more force as she was squeezing the palm.
As the blood continued falling on the ground, there was a bit of smoke that came from but she didn’t stop.
After some time, she stood and unfolded her hand.
By that time, the room was filled with darkness more than usual. In front of Oizys, where the blood had spattered, the blood started rising as it continued to remove smoke.
Seeing this scene, Leila felt a cold shiver running down her spine.
She wanted to ask Amaya what that was but she was afraid that she might end up exposing herself.
As the blood rose and the smoke increased the smoke started forming a human shape while when the blood got in contact with it, the human shape became more visible but the difference was that it was black. It looked like a ghost.
“Aunt I always thought that making ghosts was just superstition but it seems I was wrong,” Leila said with a smile on her face as she tried to look as if she wasn’t affected at all by what had happened.
Oizys looked at her with a calm demeanour. She would have believed that Leila really didn’t panic but she had seen her expression when the ghost human was forming itself.
“It isn’t just a ghost,” Oizys said, making Leila avert her gaze from it to her.
“Aunty what is this?” Leila asked because she wanted to know as she knew that t was a result of their blood.
“As I said, we have darkness in us but this isn’t my darkness. This is just a darkness puppet made from my blood. I will teach you how to do it,” Oizys said with a smile on her face.
Hearing her words, Leila was confused why Oizys was willing to teach her while she was their enemy.
“Why? Why do you want to help me when you clearly hate me and plans to kill me?” Leila asked as she couldn’t help herself as she wanted to know the answer.
She wanted to learn some things from Oizys but she was afraid that she might end up falling in Oizys trap thus she needed to be super precautious.
Oizys saw her worry and chuckled but she knew why Leila was like that.
“Yeah. I will surely kill you but not now. Itis believed that you are so powerful thus I want to see how powerful you can be under my guidance. Also, you can help me in winning the battle,” Oizys said with a pleased smile on her face.
“How do you know that I will do as you want? That instead of helping you, I will help the enemy?” Leila asked as she was speechless.
“Don’t worry,” Oizys answered with a mysterious smile.
“Amaya says that Oizys is trying to awaken her,” a voice sounded on Leila’s head and she knew that it was her wolf.
This made her since when did the two get along.
“Tell her to cooperate with her. To learn what is supposed to be learnt that she doesn’t know and can help us in the battle. As for what she knows, she should pretend that she didn’t know. When the time comes when she is forced to reveal herself, then she should do so but she shouldn’t give in so easily,” Leila told her.
Leila looked at Oizys and now understood what Oizys was really up to.
“Aunt, but I don’t have black blood like you. Also, I don’t think I can do what you just did as I don’t have a darkness,” Leila said with a defeated yet sad look.
The look on her made Oizys proud.
“You don’t have to worry. I will make sure that your darkness will be awakened. I will make you stronger than anyone else,” Oizys said but deep down, she knew that there had to be a limit as she didn’t want Leila to be stronger than her as that would cause unnecessary trouble in future when she will be trying to kill her.
“I have always been weak. I am a weakling whom everyone laughs at back at the pack and the kingdom. Are you sure that I can become strong? I want them to one day pay for the sufferings they caused me,” Leila said in a cold tone as she released a murderous aura.
”If you are willing to humble yourself and learn from me then I promise you,” Oizys said as she was so happy when she heard her talk about revenge.
She vowed she would use that change to make Leila hate her grandma’s creation and make her be in her team solely without being pushed or manipulated to do so.
“Aunt, I want that. I always wished that I could be strong. Make everyone jealous of me, make them pay,” Leila said cheerfully.
She knew what Oizys wanted to hear most as she loathed the werewolves thus she used it to her own advantage.
“There will be, soon my dear little niece,” Oizys said as she felt that Leila was pleasing to the eye and also so easy to manipulate.
“And also to be able to protect my sister! She is the only family I have, thus I want to protect her. I don’t want to lose her as I lose mom,” Leila said in a low sad tone making Oizys speechless as she quickly changed her opinion about Leila.
Seeing Oizys look, Leila wanted to laugh at her but she managed to hold it back.
“Auntie, when will we start?” She asked as she stood up and got out of the corner and walked to Oizys after making sure the ghost darkness won’t harm her.
“In a few or some days after you get enough rest,” Oizys said but she couldn’t predict Leila or figure out what was going on in her mind.
“My Lord, here is the drug. I have increased the dosage.”
