Chapter 121: Chapter 121
Third POV.
Back at the Palace in the kingdom.
“Have you found her?” Aiden asked anxiously as he stared at the warriors who had been sent into the wood to look for Leila.
“Your majesty, we haven’t seen our queen,” the first warrior leader said in a low tone as he was afraid of talking.
“Your majesty, we haven’t seen our queen on the cliff. We have searched the entire area,” another said as he bowed.
He got similar news from the other warriors' leaders.
After some time of hearing this Aiden roared out of anger and pain. He couldn’t understand why Leila ran away.
“Why? Please come back. I am sorry,” he screamed out loudly, making the people around him take some steps back.
“You can go back to your chambers and continue practising till further notice,” Jordan told the warriors when he saw them standing with their heads lowered and some of them were trembling in fear of facing the king’s wrath.
Elana, Marcus and Aurora were the only ones who didn’t pity Aiden cause he had gotten what he always wanted. At the same time, they couldn’t help but worry about Leila’s safety.
Elaine had tried to get through Amaya but it led to a dead end making her become more anxious than before.
“Have you tried contacting her wolf?” Eric asked Aiden cause he couldn’t take it anymore.
He was afraid that Aiden might do something crazy cause of losing his mate.
Aiden stopped what he was doing but he didn’t dare lift his head and look at him because he was lost of words.
‘How can I tell them that I lost my wolf? If I do, won’t that make them see me as a weakling and not fit for the king’s position? No, I won’t say anything! I won’t take any risk!” he thought for a while.
With this on his mind, he ignored Eric
“Do you think my sister’s wolf will even waste its time trying to communicate with him after everything he has done?” Elana asked as she shook her head.
They all shook their heads and didn’t say anything.
They looked at Elana and wondered why she was so calm despite the fact her sister was lost.
“Elana, why are you so calm?” Aurora asked as she was confused and if it were her in that position, she would have been panicking since the moment Leila disappeared.
They all looked at Elana waiting for an answer as that was the question some of them had wanted to ask for a long time but they were afraid of her.
“She went on her own not because she was kidnapped or something. She will come back when she wants to,” Elana answered as she shrugged.
Hearing her words, they calmed down for a bit cause they knew that she made sense.
“She won’t run away and never come back because of what I did, right?” Aiden asked nervously, making Marcus roll his eyes.
“Are you scared? Though some days ago you were the almighty King Aiden, what has happened today?” Marcus asked sarcastically, making Aiden shut up.
Elana didn’t bother answering his question because she was concentrating on what Elaine was doing to track Leila’s location.
“Have you found her?” Elana asked her.
“No. I don’t understand how this is possible. It is like she doesn’t even exist,” Elaine answered in a sad yet confused tone.
Elana frowned as she knew that that was bad news.
“Can you try tracking her last location before she disappeared?” She asked Elaine as she knew that they might be able to find clues from there.
Although she had told everyone that Leila would come back when she wanted to, she had a bad feeling. Also, she could tell that Leila had a plan after what happened with Aiden three days ago. She was worried and anxious but she knew better than to show it cause it would lead to everyone panicking and there wasn’t anything they would do when they were in that state.
“Uhm, I am not sure but let me try,” Elaine answered before concentrating on her sister's bond with Amaya.
“When she got out of here, she stopped at the southern part of the kingdom,”Elaine told Elana what she had just discovered, shocking her in the process.
“Aren't the rogues part of the south?” Elana asked with a frown and deep down she hoped that she was wrong.
“Yes. Why are you asking?” Matteo answered.
Elana just looked at them but remained silent.
“Search further,” she instructed Elaine because she didn’t want to accept that information.
“Okay,” Elaine answered and did as she was told cause she also didn’t want to believe it.
“The rogues pack,” she replied after some minutes, making Elana stand up immediately, making everyone in the room look at her.
“Elana, what is it?” Marcus asked his mate cause he knew that there had to be something that shocked her.
He had not talked about Leila’s disappearance cause he was sure that Elaine would be able to find Amaya through the bond but now seeing Elana’s reaction, he had a mad feeling.
“Leila…Leila” she murmured repeatedly confusing everyone.
“What has Leila done? Where is she?” Marcus asked in a panicked tone.
“What is she doing there?” Elana asked Elaine as she didn’t want to say where she was till she was sure about it.
“I don’t know Elana. It is like she has disappeared. Like she never existed in the first place,” Elaine said, making Elana frown.
“Can you guys do that?” she asked.
“Yes, we can go into hiding and wipe out our existence so that the enemy can’t find us. It seems that Leila is planning something,” Elaine notified her.
“Elana. I am asking you a question! Where is Leila? Is she in the southern part and that’s why you were asking whether it belongs to the rogues?” Marcus asked as he stood up and stood in front of her.
Elana looked at him sternly before looking at the others.
“Are you happy now? You always told her that it was better if she was the one who had been kidnapped now she had been captured when she was in the south. Are you happy?” she asked Aiden coldly and angrily.
Everyone was shocked when they heard that.
“Elana, please don’t joke with such matters! How can Leila be with them when she is so strong? Also, how do you know where she is?” Aurora asked with a frown on her face.
Marcus' eyes darkened when he heard how she spoke to Elana.
“How? Let me inform you. Both Elaine and Amaya have a unique sister bond thus they read what’s on each other’s mind, they can know where the other is and they can feel what the other is going through,” Marcus said angrily, making everyone surprised as they didn’t know.
“How do you think we found out the kingdom was attacked the last time?” he asked them, making them remain silent and lower their heads out of shame.
“Will she be okay? Should we ambush them and get her out?” Aurora asked after some few minutes of silence.
