Chapter 119: Chapter 119

Third POV.

The patrolling guards on duty today have caught a girl from the kingdom in our lands,” the gamma said with a bow.

“In our land? What was she doing there?” The alpha asked with a frown on his face.

“She claimed that she got lost when she was on the run. She is in a bad state and so dirty,” the gamma replied.

“Are you sure that she hasn’t been sent here to spy on us?” the alpha asked coldly as that might be a possibility.

“That can’t be my alpha. She seems innocent,” he replied, making the alpha hum but didn’t say anything.

“Alpha, I heard that your mate is from the kingdom. How sure are you that the girl isn’t here?” the beta asked in confusion.

“Idiot! If she was really my mate, I would have smelt her scent even from afar. Where is the girl now? If she is truly as innocent as you claim we will know after sometime,” the alpha said with a wicked grin on his face.

“Outside my lord,” the gamma answered.

“Take her to the dungeons. I will be there in a few,” the alpha said in a serious tone.

“Yes my lord,” the gamma said before raising up, turning around and leaving.

“Do you think that we will know something from that girl? After all, five of the elders we caught last time have refused to speak completely.

“That girl is god’s sent. Hahaha. See, even god is on our side! We will surely win the battle!” the alpha said as he laughed.

“You shouldn’t be cheering so soon. What if the girl also refuses to speak?” the beta said as he rolled his eyes.

“Yes yes yes. What you have said is true. Let’s get going so that we can get the answers we want,” the alpha said as he stood up and hurriedly walked outside.

Leila was dragged and thrown into a dirty, cold and dark dungeon before it was closed. There was a strong smell of blood everywhere. Cause of this, Amaya was tempted to come out . Noticing Amaya fighting for control, Leila got angry and threw her back on her mind.

“What are you doing? Can you be patient enough? After this you will surely get what you want as it would be the great battle. Also, I think they will try invading my mind. Delete what may make us seem untrustworthy and delete everywhere that you are included,” she said.

“What about where you and Aiden have been fighting?” Amaya asked as she went through the memory.

Just create some scenes to show that Aiden now hates me cause he believes that his father is dead,” Leila answered.

Leila had some strong footsteps getting closer making her take a deep breath.

“Hurry up and leave! Make it seem that I never received my powers and you haven’t awakened as I had told you before!” Leila said hurriedly and in a panic as she was afraid that her lies and plots would be discovered even before achieving what she wanted.

After a few minutes, the door was opened.

The alpha looked at the little girl laying on the floor with curiosity.

“What’s your name?” he asked in a deep voice which made Leila flinch.

“My name is Leila. Sir please let me go,” Leila answered as she cried and crawled backwards running away from the man out of fear.

“Leila. Leila. That name sounds familiar,” the alpha said as he took slow yet intimidating steps towards her.

He squatted in front of her beside pulling her hair down making Leila scream as she was forced to raise her head.

“You are the king’s mate!” He said after seeing her face.

“Did he send you here to spy on us?” He asked coldly and with a killing intent.

“No no no. I didn’t even know I was in the rogues land till the guards rescued me,” Leila said hurriedly.

“Boohoo. Sir please let go of my hair. It’s so painful! Please believe me!” she added as she cried out loudly.

“Then do you know the damage you have caused, mh? Your mate will surely attack us when he discovers you are here!” the alpha said angrily before throwing her at a corner.

Leila cried out loudly when she hit the wall.

“No that’s not true! You don’t have to worry. He hates me,” she said in a whisper in between her cries but both the alpha and the beta heard her clearly.

“He hates you? No one can ever hate their mate!” The beta said angrily as he felt that she was lying.

“Its true. If you don’t believe me you can send someone to ask around the kingdom. He blames me for his father’s death! He believes that his father died from the last ambush. He blames me. He blames me,” Leila said before feeling hurt and started crying louder than before.

“Why? I never understand! How is it my fault if we are attacked? My mom died when she was protecting me, making everyone call me a jinx and a murderer. When I thought that I now have a mate to protect and love me, we were ambushed when Aiden and my sister weren’t in the kingdom. In the process the king was stabbed but his body vanished. How is it my fault! Tell me, is it my fault?” she asked them as she lifted her head and looked at them innocently.

They both looked at her and wondered whether what she was saying was true. How come she doesn’t seem to know everything?

“Alpha, do you think she is lying?” the beta asked with a frown on his face but he didn’t look at the alpha as he was staring at Leila sternly as if he was trying to see through her.

“She doesn’t seem to lie! Huh! She is pitiful indeed. If I knew before that that king treasured his family more than his mate, I would have killed them a while ago,” the alpha sneered as he was happy with how everything was going.

Leila looked at them in confusion then fear engulfed her.

“You. You. Are you the ones who have been ambushing us?” she asked in a tone full of fear.

“Look at that! They claimed you are supposed to be so strong but you are so weak! Yes we are the ones who have been doing that! Are you going to kill us?” the alpha asked sarcastically with a mocking smile on his face.

Leila shook her head hurriedly before saying, “when those guards saved me, I thought that you rogues are good people! That what I always heard about you are just rumors but now it seems they are all true.”

“You killed my mother!” Leila shouted before crying. “You killed my mother! You are beasts!”

“We should get Goddess Oizys here as soon as possible.”
