Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Third POV.

Leila looked around after making sure that Amaya didn’t have any control.

Seeing a dummy place full of mad and thorny leaves and stem, a grin appeared on Leila’s face before running to the direction as she pretended to be weak.

She fell right on that spot making her to be covered by mud and the thorny stem piercing her skin. The white pale flawless skin was now covered by mud, injuries and blood oozing out .

“Ouch, it’s so painful,” she said softly and weakly as she cried loudly.

“Why did I have to go on a run just to be met by misfortune? Why am I always so unlucky?” she added in between the cries making the scene look pitiful to anyone who comes across her.

Two men who were walking around heard her cries and they stopped as they thought they were hearing their own things as it was hard for anyone to be found in that place.

“It hurts. Boohoo. Is anyone there?” Leila shouted as she cried.

The two men looked at each other before tiptoeing towards her direction.

Hearing the footsteps getting closer, Leila held the thorny stem piercing her skin making it seem as if she had been in the jungle for a while. Taking a closer look, she knew that not everyone was stupid as the wound looked flesh thus her tricks would be discovered if she wasn’t careful.

Using her powers, she froze the blood that was oozing out making it look dry and dirty. She also dried some of her muddy parts, tore some parts of her clothes before laying down on her stomach on the thorny leaves and stems so that whoever was coming might think she was calling for help because the thorns had hurt her stomach making it impossible for her to stand up.

“Is anyone there?” She asked once more, her voice becoming hoarse than before.

The men walked towards her. One stood in front of her while the other stood behind her to prevent her from escaping. Seeing the shoes from the corner of her eyes, Leila smirked secretly before raising her head and looked at the man in front of her.

“Sir, please help me,” she said softly and in a cracking voice as she struggled to get up.

“Who are you and what are you doing here?” the man asked coldly as he was afraid that it was a trap.

As a warrior and a guard from the rogues pack, he had witnessed some people possessing powers to even control people thus he had to be precautious to avoid his pack being ambushed.

“I was mad at my mate, so I went for a run. Because I had shut myself and the scent, I wasn’t able to detect when I left the kingdom premises. Sir, which pack does this land belong to?” Leila asked with curious eyes.

“You are from the kingdom?” the man standing behind asked.

Leila pretended to struggle turning her head to look at him.

She looked at him with a painful look and said, “Yes sir.”

“Josh, do you think that she has been sent here to spy on us?” the man standing at the front asked with questioning eyes.

“I don’t think so, it's been more than two weeks since we attacked. Don’t you think that if they wanted to send someone to spy they would have already sent someone?” The guy standing behind who had been called Josh asked his eyes never leaving Leila's figure.

“So, what are we going to do? Should we take her to the alpha or let her go?” the other guy asked, making Josh snort.

“There is no way we are going to let her go! She is from the kingdom and they are our enemies thus she is also an enemy although she seems to be weak! We should take her to the alpha. Who knows, maybe she will be able to help us invade the kingdom,” Josh answered with a wicked smile on his face.

“But didn’t they kidnap five people the last time they ambushed the kingdom? Can’t those ones help?” the other asked, making Josh roll his eyes as he averted his gaze from Leila and glanced at his partner.

“Brian, you are a fool! A big fool in fact! Don’t you know that those elders have locked their memories and no one can invade? Not only have they done that but they have refused to say anything no matter how many times they have been tortured and injected drugs,” Josh said making the guy shocked while Leila smiled as she lowered her head so that they could not notice it.

“How could I know that when I am always on duty? Also, I am not one of the high-ups like you,” Brian retorted.

“Yeah I forgot. This girl would be someone to help us benefit. Since she is so weak, I don’t think she will be able to remain silent after she is tortured. Maybe she will even spill everything out after being injected with the first drug,” Josh said as he laughed when he imagined the scene but Brian looked at Leila in pity.

He knew that the high-ups were cruel and never showed mercy to anything. They could even kill a child. He wished he could save her and help her escape but knew it was impossible.

“Ah, sir. Can you tell me where I am?” Leila asked once more, gaining their attention.

“The rogue's pack,” Josh answered with a creepy smile on his face.

Leila panicked and showed fear in her eyes.

“Sir, please let me go! I didn’t intend to get in your land,” Leila said as she cried and trembled.

“Huh, are we feared that much?” Josh asked upon seeing her reaction after being given the answer she wanted.

“Sir please let me go,” Leila begged as she dragged her tired and wounded body away from them.

“You think you can escape? No way! Come here,” Josh said coldly as his eyes darkened when he saw her trying to escape.

Josh walked towards her, picked her up and threw her to his shoulder before walking towards their territory.

“Brian, hurry up. I am sure we might be awarded after we take her,” Josh shouted at Brian when he didn’t hear footsteps following him.

Brian nodded his head and followed him as he looked around for any danger.

“Josh, who are you carrying?” their gamma asked when they arrived outside the alpha’s house.

“This girl claims she accidentally lost her way and found herself in our lands. She is from the kingdom. We caught and brought her here as we think she might be of help,” Josh answered with his head lowered and standing still in fear.

“Let me inform the alpha first.”
