Third POV.

“I should have known that you little fellows didn’t summon me cause you missed me. You always do that when you need something from me,” the old man said as he pouted and pretended to be angry as he was wronged.

“How can that be grandpa? We really miss you but we have been so busy. I am sure you do know what has been happening over here since grandma always looks after us,” Leila said as she tried to make the old man feel better.

“Oh my dear princess. Where is that man who thinks so highly of himself? Does he think that I can’t kill him?” The old man asked coldly but Elana snorted while Leila started shedding tears since she had always felt that no one loved her except for her sister and brother-in-law.

Hearing her grandfather’s words, she couldn’t help but feel warm.

“Grandpa, can you please stop pretending? If you really cared about her then why didn’t you show up even though it happened two weeks ago? Did you have to wait till we summoned you?” Elana said disdain evident in his voice.

She had never been afraid of him since she was a child even though they weren’t blood related.

“How can you say that? I wanted to come and get revenge so that you can feel better but we heard Amaya’s words, her plans. We thought that we can just wait and see what you girls are up to and whether you will win. Who knew that you girls were going to summon me after a few weeks?” the old man said calmly and with a smile on his face.

“Can you now tell us what we have asked you?” Elana said with a frown on her face.

“If your grandfather knew that I left him stranded cause you needed my help, he would surely be jealous of me,” the old man with a laugh ignoring Elana’s question as he couldn’t wait going back to brag.

When they heard him mention their paternal grandfather, the sisters were sad.

“Hope he is doing fine. The last time we saw him was before dad left. Maybe when we are done with the war we will visit him,” Elana said, making Leila nod her head.

“Grandpa, can you now tell us before grandma discovers you are here?” Leila asked as she felt the matter was urgent and they were just losing time.

“I know you all have been working hard but you aren’t there yet. You will be fighting against your cousins from your grandfather. The biological father of your mom,” the old man said as he shook his head but it was enough for Elana and Leila to feel a cold shiver.

“Does that mean they also have darkness?” Leila asked fear in both her tone and eyes.

“Yes. Now I hope you do understand why I am saying you should work extra hard. Those brats have been raised under the old man thus they are way stronger and have a lot of tactics than both of you.”

“There is something I can’t understand. Why do they want to wipe out grandma’s creation?” Elana asked as she was confused.

“That old man still loves your grandma. Because Lyannette was born to his beloved woman, he loves Lyannette so much although he has never raised her. Also, Lyannette is way stronger than his other descendants. He wanted to take Lyannette away from us. Sensing a crisis, your grandmother sent your mother down here together with your father who was supposed to always protect her. The old man later sent one of his grandchildren to come here and take your mother back but he ended up offending your mother causing your parents to kill him.”

“So you mean that he is not after grandma’s creation but us?” Leila asked.

Shaking his head he said, “Although his grandson was killed. He couldn’t bring to kill the only offspring from Selene, thus as revenge he sent his daughter and son to come and wipe out all the werewolves and lycans.”

“So we are just like the werewolves and lycans guardians and bodyguards?” Elana said angrily as she was mad at their grandma for using them as tools.

“Can you stay still and see the people you grew up with have been wiped out?”

They all remained silent as they knew he was right.

“Grandpa, then what are we going to do?” Leila asked in a panic.

“Your friends will have powers in a few days. I am sure the rogues will also be given some powers but mostly dark powers. Because of this, most of your gifts will be useless on them. Example, you wouldn't be able to control their minds. You need to train harder than before. As to how you will win, just leave it to me,” the old man said as he laughed, making the girls look at him with questioning eyes.

“As I said, Erebus loves your mom the most so what do you think will happen when he finds out that the people he sent didn’t do as instructed? When he finds out they killed her?”

“He really can’t kill his offsprings,” Leila said what her grandfather had said, making him roll his eyes.

“That scheming man. Don’t think he won’t. He even doesn’t know that his precious daughter has two beautiful girls since it has been kept under wraps to avoid him finding out. Hell will surely break loose. How can he let the murderer go? He has always treated your mom as a treasure. He used to claim that I will not take good care of her. That's why he wanted to take her but that was partially one reason. That man is way colder than both Elaine and Amaya. If he finds out that his daughter killed Lyannette and wants to kill both of you he will surely get mad. I really can’t wait to watch that show,” the old man said as he clapped his hands and smiled

“Are you trying to say that we will use him to fight the enemies?”
