Chapter 15: Chapter 15

The hall was silent as I kept staring at Elmira. She held her dress, trying not to look at me directly. She was surprised and scared at the same time. Her heartbeat was fast. I could hear it from afar. I hissed and turned to look at the sorcerer. "I don't want a mate"

There was a sound of gasps in the hall. There were murmurings too, which was already building up my anger. My eyes were already changing but slowly. I hissed and hit the table. "I don't want a mate. Even if I want one, not a weakling and a human, like her" I pointed at Elmira and everyone diverted their eyes on her. She moved backward to stay behind Eunice, trying to hide from the shame I guess. "She's human?" Someone asked

"There's a human here?" People began to ask. It was then I realized, Eunice had covered her scent to help her stay without been noticed. Some vampires tried to move closer to her but Eunice stopped them. I scoffed. Like I care. Some girls were murmuring some shit but I don't care. Right now, all I want is to reject her publicly. I hit the table angrily and silence returned.

"I don't care about what you want to do to her. But you all should listen and listen carefully, 'cause you're acting as a witness today that I, Damien Walker reject you Elmira Stone as my mate!!" I spoke in my Alpha voice.

Everywhere was silent until someone gasped. "He's a hybrid"

I hissed. "Who just talked?" I asked.  By now, my anger had been fully built up and my eyes red. I spoke with so much gravity that the hall shook. People were already trembling. "Who said that!!"

The walls were already breaking and people were screaming. My eyes were bleeding and my fingers growing longer. "I shouldn't repeat myself"

Someone screamed and rushed out. "I... I... I did. Please make it stop"

I growled and held him by his neck, breaking it in the process. I threw his lifeless body on the floor and people screamed. The council of elders and my uncle tried to calm me down but only succeeded a little. My anger doesn't stop just like that. People tried running away but I shut the door. "Damien, stop that" Eunice, mind-linked me. I turned in her direction and she screamed, her eyes dripping out blood.

Everyone gasped. Elmira covered her up to my surprise, cutting off the link between Eunice and me. I was expecting her to drop dead being human but there she was, standing without any harm. "Move!!" I yelled at her. She was scared to death, staring at me but she did not attempt to move away. I rushed towards her and held her by the neck. How dare she disobey me!!. I held her tightly and she coughed. Eunice held me. "Damien, please stop"

I closed my eyes and shoved Elmira to the side. She landed with a thud and whined. I stared at Elmira for a while and she moved away scared. I looked at Eunice who looked scared too. "I'm leaving" I announced before walking out of the hall. I'm leaving this damn place for good.

I drove into the palace and brought the car to a halt. I stepped out of the car and went straight to my room, ignoring the greeting from the guards. My anger had not been subsided yet. I could still feel it building up bit by bit. I punched the wall with great intensity. My lips trembled. I kept punching the wall, ignoring the pain and blood dripping down.

The door opened and I turned swiftly. It was mom. She stared at me with no emotion. "You found out? You found out she's your mate?"

I growled. "You knew all this while?. Is that the reason you brought her as my pet? Is that the reason you sent her with me to your brother's place?". She hissed and sat down on the couch. "Talk to me mother!!"

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Damien"? I groaned. She stood up. "If I had told you, will you have believed?"

I grunted. "I don't want her!"

"You said what?"

"I don't want her, mother. I can't be mated to a human"

She hissed. "Who do you want to be mated with. Huh?" I scoffed. "Some vampires or werewolves?. With your kind of attribute?"

I groaned. "She weak mother. I can't accept her as my mate"

"You have no option, Damien"

I sat down on the couch. "I do, mother, cause I already rejected her"

She widened her eyes. "You did what?"

I smirked. "I rejected her, publicly"

Mom jumped up immediately. "You did what?. How could you do that!!"

I smiled. "As I said before, I don't want her"

She hissed. "Where is she?"

"I left her with your brother"

She glared at me. "How could you be this heartless to leave her alone amid vampires?"

I rolled my eyes and stand up. "Mom, if you care about her that much, please go after her. But for me, I don't give a damn about her"

I walked out of the room, leaving mom alone. I decided to take a walk through the forest. Maybe it will calm my already boiling nerves. I might catch a deer too, to have a feed on blood. I walked out of the palace and into the forest.

"My lord, my lord" Gary called. I stopped moving and turned to face him. He bowed. "The queen, seek your presence"

I groaned. What does she want me for?. It's been two days since we discussed Elmira. She had refused to say a word to me or even see my face. Why does she seek my present now?. "Why is she seeking my presence?"

"I don't know, my lord. But I heard her discussing with your uncle"

I furrowed my brows. "Uncle Mark is here?"

"Yes, my lord"

I hissed. "Where is the Queen?"

"In the throne, room, my lord"

I sighed. "You can go". He bowed and left. I walked into the throne room. Mom was pacing around. Uncle Mark and Eunice were seated. Mom stopped pacing when she saw.

"You've seen what you caused? Huh?"

I rolled my eyes "I don't get it"

"Elmira is missing"

I hissed. She called me for that?. "How is that my fault? Huh?. I never told her to run away"

Eunice furrowed her brows and mom hissed. Uncle Mark only sat down, saying nothing. "Now, listen to me carefully. You're going to look for her" mom said

I hissed. "I won't do that"

"You will do that"

"She isn't a kid. She will find her way back"

Mom hissed. "Tell me, how will she do that?"

"Mom she's not a kid"

"She is a kid ok!!" Eunice yelled and I groaned. "She's just twenty years old. Do you want to compare her to you who had spent over a hundred years? Huh?". I rolled my eyes. "You're just been heartless. Damien" she wept.

I groaned. "I don't care where you will go to. I don't care the length you'll have to travel. You must come back with her to this palace before Amaya finds out" mom ordered

"I won't do...." Mom glared at me and I groaned.

"Leave my presence now. I don't want to see your face until you bring her back to this palace, unharmed" I clutched my fist and walked out of the throne room, angrily. If I go after her and do find her, I will make sure she dies by my hand!!.
