Chapter 167: Chapter 167
"MY BROTHER is currently under house arrest."
Wonhee clenched her hands when Song Moonho said that. "I know who I saw, Moonho-ssi. I’m sure it was Hunter Song Sunho— the Vice Guildmaster of the Autumn Guild. It was really your brother, Moonho-ssi."
Song Moonho didn’t say anything, but he was obviously in disbelief.
"Hey, don’t make it sound like my Wonhee is lying," Yejun, who stood next to Wonhee, scolded Song Moonho. It even looked like Yejun was more upset than Wonhee was. "Are you even sure that Song Sunho is still at your house?"
Only then did it seem like Song Moonho came to his senses. "I’ll just go and make a quick call first, then let’s talk again."
"You better apologize to Wonhee once you return, old man."
Song Moonho ignored Yejun as he excused himself and disappeared.
"Hee-ya, go to your room and rest," Grandpa Suk-yong said. "I’ll talk to Song Moonho once he returns. Your siblings should be here soon."
"I-I won’t leave Yool Hyung’s side, Noona," Ahyeon said shyly. "Please take a rest first."
Why was everyone telling her to rest?
But then she realized that Yejun was back.
[I’ve neglected him.]
"Yejun-ah, let’s go to my room."
"Okay," Yejun said immediately, and then he opened his arms. "Come here, Wonhee-ya."
[He wants to teleport when we could just walk...]
Yejun must be tired then.
Wonhee said goodbye to Ahyeon and Grandpa Suk-yong before she wrapped her arms around Yejun’s waist.
She suddenly felt relaxed.
Hence, she didn’t let go, even though they reached her bedroom in just the blink of an eye. While savoring Yejun’s warmth, she did some thinking.
And only then did she realize that she was upset.
[Seeing Yool almost die in front of me... of course, it will make me upset.]
Wonhee let out a sigh.
"Is my Wonhee upset?"
"I guess it’s obvious, huh?"
Yejun laughed softly while rubbing her back. "Should I hunt down Song Sunho and slit that bastard’s throat?"
"Moonho-ssi will turn his back on us if we touch his younger brother."
[According to Yool, the Song Moonho in the novel became an antagonist when Graham-ssi killed Song Sunho in order to protect Ahn Kisoo. The Song Moonho in the novel betrayed the Big 4 to avenge his brother.]
And that was why Yool meddled in Graham’s affairs recently.
[Yool stopped Song Sunho from harassing Ahn Kisoo so Graham wouldn’t have to step in. As a result, Song Sunho lived and Moonho-ssi didn’t turn his back on the Big 4.]
"But Song Sunho needs to be taught a lesson."
"I also want to do that because of what he did to Yool," Wonhee said, looking up at Yejun’s face to (stare at his handsome face) check the color of his eyes. Fortunately, his eyes were still gold. "But we can’t afford to make an enemy out of Song Moonho."
Yejun let out a sigh. "I don’t understand the old man. He’s known to be ruthless, and yet he’s so soft towards his brother."
[He probably doesn’t understand because he’s an only child.]
"Well, Song Sunho is his younger brother. As someone who has older siblings myself, I kind of understand Moonho-ssi. Even if Semi Unnie and Soobin Oppa suddenly became villains, I don’t think I could cut them off that easily."
"It’s not ’suddenly’ for the old man. That perverted Song Sunho harassed Ahn Kisoo so many times in the past. If Song Moonho didn’t protect that bastard, he would have died by either mine or Graham’s hands already."
"Can I bad-mouth Song Sunho-ssi?"
"Of course, Wonhee-ya. I’m happy to listen."
Wonhee sighed while shaking her head. "I wish Song Sunho loses his abilities as a Hunter— he doesn’t deserve to be one. That’s what I’ve been thinking ever since I saw his face after he attacked Yool. I wish someone deserving would have his abilities instead. That was how mad I was at Song Sunho."
Yejun froze for a moment, and then he burst out laughing. "That’s it? You already call that bad-mouthing someone?"
"But it’s bad to wish someone misfortune."
"There are plenty of bastards who deserve that."
"Wonhee-ya, you should curse at times ," Yejun said, and then he paused for a moment. "Wait. Do you even know how to curse?"
"Of course," Wonhee said proudly. "I learned how to curse properly when I got the role of a rebellious teenager in the past."
"Really? I don’t think I’ve heard you curse yet, though."
"Do you want me to curse?"
Wonhee cleared her throat before she opened her mouth. " Ssibal-saekki 1 ."
Yejun looked shocked, so Wonhee cursed again.
" Mi-chin sae-gi 1 ."
Yejun’s face turned red, and then he held Wonhee by the shoulders. "Stop."
Wonhee suddenly burst out laughing when she felt something hard poking against her hip. "Seriously, Yejun-ah? You got hard just because I said a few swear words?"
"Your voice sounds sexy when you curse, Wonhee-ya."
Okay, it was her turn to blush.
Yejun laughed awkwardly. "Lemme just go to the bathroom real quick."
Wonhee avoided Yejun’s gaze, feeling shy suddenly. "Alright. I’ll watch the broadcast of your fight, then."
Yejun looked betrayed. "You didn’t watch my fight live? I specifically borrowed Soobin Hyung’s latest camera device so you can watch my fight clearly."
"How can I do that when we were being ambushed at that time?"
"As expected, I should kill Song Sunho—"
"I don’t think you need to go to the bathroom anymore," she said, cutting him off while looking at his crotch area. The bulge in his pants was already gone. She then looked up at him with knitted brows. "Are you that disappointed that I didn’t see your fight live?"
"Of course," Yejun whined, obviously sulking. "I worked hard not to get hit by those stupid World Rankers because I wanted to take care of my face."
"Your face? But why?"
"You love my handsome face, Wonhee-ya."
Wonhee cleared her throat and avoided Yejun’s gaze. "Let’s just watch the broadcast, okay?"
Yejun laughed out loud. "Wonhee-ya, you’re not good at hiding your feelings~"
"Yes, ma’am," Yejun said obediently. "Wonhee-ya?"
"Are you serious about what you said earlier regarding the misfortune you want to happen to Song Sunho?"
"I know it’s bad, but I really wish he loses all his abilities as a Hunter. But why are you asking?"
He shrugged casually. "Maybe if we say it out loud again and again, it might come true? You know, maybe the universe is listening?"
"If the universe is listening, then I’ll say it again— louder this time," Wonhee said, going along with Yejun’s silliness. "I really want Song Sunho to lose his abilities as a Hunter. It will also be nice if someone more deserving than him awakens and receives his abilities."
Yejun smiled his ’villain smile’— the one where his eyes turned into little crescent moons. "I hope the universe is listening to my little villainess."
Lee Seodam was indeed late.
However, it wasn’t like he could tell his mother and sister that he was under heavy surveillance because he was the chosen host of the Virus threatening to destroy the System.
It was confidential information.
[I’m not even supposed to leave APA Village yet.]
If Seodam’s younger brother— Lee Seojin— didn’t collapse, then APA wouldn’t have let him leave to visit his dongsaeng at the hospital.
But, of course, he didn’t come alone.
Park Ruda was with him, as well as a few APA Hunters (from Yeon Soobin’s side) keeping an eye on him from afar.
[They’re treating me like a criminal.]
"Eomeonim, we apologize for being late," Ruda said politely when Seodam was too preoccupied to respond to his mother. "How’s our Seojin?"
His mother let out a deep breath. "Let’s get inside first."
They followed his mother inside the private room where the still unconscious Lee Seojin was confined.
Lee Seorin was there, sitting on the chair next to the bed.
"You’re here?" Seorin greeted them as she stood up. "Seojin hasn’t woken up yet, but the doctor said he’s fine."
Since his older sister looked fine, Seodam felt relieved.
[If Lee Seojin was in a bad condition, Noona would have been hysterical already.]
And he also checked on Lee Seojin’s condition.
[My dongsaeng looks like he’s only asleep.]
"What happened, Noona?" Seodam asked when he found his voice. "Why did Lee Seojin collapse?"
"It’s awakening," Seorin said, half worried-half excited. "The doctor said our Seojin is in a comatose state— and it’s because he’s about to awaken."
... an Awakened Person?
For some reason, Seodam didn’t feel happy about his younger brother’s awakening.
[This is a good excuse to call Wonhee and inform her about Lee Seojin’s condition. She cares about my brother, after all.]
YEJUN smiled while watching Wonheee watch the broadcast on her phone with a look of pure concentration on her face.
Of course, she was watching his fight with the World Rankers earlier.
Yejun and Wonhee were in the bed, cuddling.
[Why aren’t we dating yet?]
Anyway, that wasn’t the important part because their relationship wouldn’t just end in dating. Hence, they could take it slow.
[Guide Chu Wonhee’s in activation!
Hunter Song Sunho lost his right to be a Hunter! His abilities won’t disappear right away since he has high-ranking skills, so the ’Transfer’ will take time!]
Yejun was curious about that part. Official source is novel✦fire.net
[Did Wonhee save the country in the past for her to get this OP skill? If Hunters all over the world find out that she has the ability to take away their abilities, then...]
Yejun could imagine it now.
Once the whole world discovered that Wonhee had the ability to ’demote’ an Awakened Person, most Hunters would either hunt her down to kill her. Or kidnap her and use her ability to control the entire Awakened World.
Of course, he wouldn’t let that happen.
[This is why the System wants me to protect Wonhee’s secret skills.]
Yejun turned to Wonhee after he heard her let out a soft ’oh.’
’Hunter Lee Seodam’ was calling.
"Wonhee-ya," Yejun said, gently pinching Wonhee’s chin— and then he carefully turned her head until she was looking at him instead of her phone. "I’ve worked hard today. Can I get a kiss as a reward?"
"Ah," Wonhee said, her face blushing. "You just want to kiss, don’t you?"
[Again— why are we still not dating?]
