Chapter 165: Chapter 165

LONG GRAY hair tied in a low ponytail.

Shabby clothes that didn’t suit his high status, but the ’homeless look’ definitely suited his trashy personality.

Eye with the color of sunset.

[Yes, he only has one eye. The other is hidden under his eyepatch. I did that— I took the bastard’s left eye years ago.]

"You’re insulting me in your head, aren’t you? Yeon Soobin?"

"No, I’m describing you," Soobin responded bluntly to Kunwoo’s accusation. "You’re a homeless-looking man with a rotten personality."

Kunwoo, who was sitting on the bridge’s railing, laughed. "You still hate me?"

"I will never not hate you."

Kunwoo laughed, and then his annoying gaze landed on Shin Geon. "It’s been a while, Geon-ah."

Of course, Geon ignored the homeless-looking bastard.

"Stop bothering my husband," Soobin warned Kunwoo in a low voice. He was already standing in front of Geon protectively. "And keep your mouth shut."

"Or else what?" Kunwoo asked, laughing again. "You’re the Blacksmith God, yes. But what can you do against me?"

Soobin sneered. He was pretty sure that the reporters weren’t focused on them, so he let his gentle façade slip away. "Have you forgotten that a non-combatant Hunter like me was able to gouge your eye out when I was just a mere A-Class Hunter? Do you want me to take your remaining eye— right here, right now?"

Kunwoo’s smile faded, and then he tried to get up.

But Song Moonho literally got in the way and pushed Kunwoo down. "You’re not going to show the world that South Korea’s top Hunters don’t get along, are you?"

"Hunter Moonho is right," Kwon Jiwoong added nervously. "Our goal is to make sure the world would see that APA and Korea’s top Hunters are united. Don’t make a scene, Hunter Kunwoo."

Kunwoo just shrugged.

Kwon Jiwoong then shook his head. "Stay here and don’t fight," he said sternly. "I’ll just head over to the reporters to make sure no one caught you starting a fight."

It was obviously just a lame excuse.

[Kwon Jiwoong is scared when powerful Hunters gather and start a fight.]

That was exactly why Kwon Jiwoong ran away.

"Why do you always treat me like the bad guy?" Kunwoo complained lightly. "I’m only here to watch your youngest member’s show."

"Then you won’t be here for too long," Graham said cheekily. "Yejun Hyung will finish the fight in a jiffy~"

Semi looked at Graham with knitted eyebrows. "You’re older than Hwang Yejun, Graham."

"I tend to forget that whenever the scary Hwang Frost comes out, Noona."

Soobin scoffed, but it wasn’t like he didn’t understand what Graham meant by that.

[Hwang Yejun is the youngest among the Big 4, and he’s also the most experienced in fighting— whether it’s people or monsters.]

An underwater fight— it has been a long while since Yejun fought in that situation.

It was especially exciting since he was fighting with the World Rankers.

Aaron Davis, as soon as he got submerged in the Han River, transformed his upper body into an orca. Yep, now the World Ranker had the head and torso of an orca while the lower half of his body was human.

[Yep, it looks weird.]

Patrick Whitter, on the other hand, could breathe underwater as a water bende— er, manipulator. Hence, he had no problem attacking Yejun right away.

By this time, Yejun’s weight had returned to normal.

[It will be hard to fight underwater with a body I can’t control, after all.]

As soon as Yejun could move the way he wanted to, he immediately headed for the weaker one between the two World Rankers heading towards him.

He kicked Aaron Davis’ head.

The World Ranker’s orca head was as hard as steel.

Yejun already expected that since monster skin was usually like that. Hence, he put weight on his leg. Hence, his kick was solid and strong enough to push Aaron Davis away.

Then it was Patrick Whitter’s turn.

The water manipulator tried to trap Yejun inside the water sphere again.

It didn’t work earlier, and it wouldn’t work now.

The moment the underwater tornado touched Yejun, it quickly turned into ice.

In fact, the Han River was quickly freezing.

[It’s always easy to just freeze everything.]

"Bye," Yejun said while waving at Aaron Davis and Patrick Whitter— both already starting to freeze. "Try not to die."

And, after that, he used his teleportation skill to emerge from the waters of the Han River.

He had one more enemy to take down, after all.

Yejun looked down at Jenna Allison who was looking up at him with shaking pupils.

"If you’re not going to attack first, then should I do it?" Yejun asked indifferently. "Since you boosted those two’s power, I’m sure you’ve already gained one of their skills. That’s how your ability works, right?"

He wasn’t one to talk during a fight.

In fact, he was known for being quiet as Hwang Frost.

However, Yejun initiated the talking this time because he needed to get Jenna Allison’s full attention while he was setting up a threat.

Hence, he intimidated the World Ranker on purpose by crushing her with his aura.

In that way, Jenna Allison wouldn’t notice the gigantic ice mirrors Yejun was quietly making above them.

Fortunately, his intimidation tactic worked.

Jenna Allison seemed to ponder for a moment before she shook her head. "If the original owners of the abilities I borrowed are no match against you, I don’t think I’d be able to use their abilities better than I did. You won’t kill me if I stay still, will you?"

"Eh? You’re giving up already? Boring."

"I have no intention of dying in a foreign land— at the hands of the very person that I belittled."

"I hope the other two were as smart as you, Jenna Allison," Yejun said while looking at the long cracks appearing all over the frozen Han River. The entire river was yet to be frozen, but a huge part of it was already ice. "But unfortunately, they don’t know when to give up."

The long cracks that appeared all over the frozen area of the Han River immediately collapsed.

Aaron Davis and Patrick Whitter then emerged from the water.

The two World Rankers shot up to the sky...

... and that was their mistake.

Aaron Davis (now back in his human form) and Patrick Whitter broke the ice mirrors that Yejun secretly set up above.

The frozen ice mirrors hid the real trap that Yejun prepared.

And that trap was in the form of two gigantic ice spheres with protruding ice sticks all over.

Of course, each ice stick was long, thick, and very sharp.

Hence, when Aaron Davis and Patrick Whitter "bumped" into the gigantic ice spheres behind them, the protruding ice sticks ~inevitably~ pierced through their bodies.

Unfortunately for the World Rankers, Yejun’s ice was stronger than their S-Class bodies/skin. So, the ice daggers easily pierced through them. Of course, it didn’t end there. The ice daggers piercing through Aaron Davis and Patrick Whitter’s bodies sucked out their Mana. Official source is ⓝovelFire.net

It was evident by the color change in the ice daggers.

From white/blue, the ice sticks turned golden.

And all the Mana being sucked out by his ice stick was getting absorbed by Yejun and— as a result— his body was now covered in golden lights.

[This is the taste of victory.]

"Stop it, Hwang Frost."

Yejun looked down at Jenna Allison after confirming that Aaron Davis and Patrick Whitter had already lost consciousness— their blood trickling down and painting the frozen river red. "Why?"

"Aaron and Patrick are already unable to fight," Jenna Allison said firmly. "We officially concede. A formal letter of apology will be sent later." She then bowed her head. "On behalf of the UAN , we apologize for offending South Korea."

Yejun’s job as the APA’s representative was done splendidly. "Don’t even think about sneaking into our country ever again— especially if your target is Chu Wonhee," he warned Jenna Allison in a low voice. "If you do, I’ll kill you all in the most painful way possible."

"HUNTER HWANG FROST won!"

Lee Seojin covered his ears when the entire class cheered loudly after Hong Dohyun announced the result of Hunter Hwang Frost’s fight against the three World Rankers— even though everyone in the class was watching the same thing on their phones.

[Why the need to announce it?]

But he didn’t want to spoil the mood in the class, so he just kept his mouth shut.

And, to be honest, Seojin thought Hunter Hwang Frost was cool.

[Three World Rankers sneaked in into our country and threatened APA to hand Wony Noona to them!]

That was the information the local media reported.

[Apparently, UAN wants Wony Noona to work directly for them since Noona is the first S-Class Guide in the world. Those greedy jerks...!]

Fortunately, APA protected Wonhee.

Most of all, Hunter Hwang Frost confronted the three World Rankers alone and won.

Seojin clenched his hands tight.

[Now Wony Noona has a strong protector by her side. I’m glad and thankful.]

To be honest, Seojin wanted the power to protect Wonhee himself.

[I feel like it’s my duty to protect Noona after how my family treated her so badly.]

It was a shame that he didn’t awaken.

But Seojin was genuinely happy that Wonhee had Hunter Hwang Frost now.

"Seojin-ah, join my live!" Dohyun said excitedly, dragging him by the arm. "I need to make a reaction video for Hunter Hwang Frost’s fight!"

Seojin was too lazy to argue with Dohyun, so he just let his friend drag him to wherever. However, he could still run his mouth to complain. "Why do you need me to join your live? You’re doing well on your own as a streamer."

"What are you saying? Don’t you know my views doubled when you joined my live last time?!"

"Are you seriously trying to milk the fact that I am Lee Seodam’s younger brother?"

"Hey, you’re not famous just because of your hyung!"

"You’re famous because you’re freaking handsome, duh!"

Seojin just rolled his eyes at what Dohyun said.

Lee Seodam, his older brother, was handsome since birth and even got more handsome when he awakened.

[So, it’s hard for me to believe I’m handsome when I have a brother like that...]

Seojin’s trains of thought were interrupted when he suddenly got a splitting headache— causing him to shake off Dohyun’s grasp to pull his arm back and clutch his head.

"Seojin-ah?" Dohyun called him worriedly. "Why do you suddenly look so pale?"

Seojin, before he could even open his mouth to respond, suddenly collapsed.

[What’s happening to me...?]
