Chapter 162: Chapter 162
Yejun smiled when he saw four sports car enter the premise while he sat on the roof of the Blue House’s main building.
The blue sports car belonged to Yeon Soobin.
[I asked Grandpa Suk-yong to come, so he probably came with Soobin Hyung.]
The yellow one to Jang Semi.
The red one to (stupid) Graham.
And the black one to Hamin.
[The white one already parked belongs to the person standing next to me.]
"You gathered all the big shots in the country, Hwang Yejun."
"I didn’t have to convince Wonhee’s family to help since they are willing to do anything and everything to protect her. On the other hand, Graham owes Wonhee, so of course he’ll help. And Cyborg Hyung could be gullible sometimes," Yejun said, and then he turned and looked up at Song Moonho. "It’s actually more impressive that I managed to bring you here, old man."
Song Moonho stood on the roof of the Blue House with his hands in the pocket of his trousers– looking so fucking good and cool with the suit jacket draped over his shoulders. "I care about our country, so of course, I’ll be here."
"Yeah, right. It will be more believable if you say you’re only here because of the contract we signed to protect my Wonhee."
"Ouch. Do I look that untrustworthy to you?"
"Yeah, because you’re hella unpredictable."
"What’s unpredictable about siding with the winner?"
"Is that why you sided with APA and captured me, huh? I mean, I don’t expect some power of friendship stuff among the Big 4. But, at least, I thought APA was our common enemy."
"I think you misunderstood me."
"What part did I misunderstand?"
"If I followed what APA ordered, then I would have killed you," Song Moonho said casually. "Catching you alive was the best option I had during that time. I called the media to cover our fight so that APA couldn’t lie and say that you died while being apprehended. After I brought you to APA, I reminded them that if the foreign media found out about your death, then the World Rankers would have attacked South Korea while we were still weak because of the damage your berserk caused. Hence, they kept you alive."
Song Moonho was good at lying and gaslighting.
But something was telling Yejun that the old man was telling the truth.
"Why would you do that?"
"You’re a dongsaeng 1 that I cherish–"
Song Moonho just laughed even though Yejun rudely cut him off. "I already told you— I always side with the winner. Even as an X-Class, you’re more dependable than APA when it comes to protecting the country from UAN and the World Rankers. In conclusion, I only made a logical decision. No need to be moved to tears, Hwang Yejun."
"Who said I’m moved?"
Again, the old man just laughed. "You don’t have to believe me. I’ll do my part as a Big 4 and protect Chu Wonhee. That child makes things lively here, so I won’t let the greedy World Rankers take her away. It’s always fun to have interesting people around."
"Hmm? I thought you’d be jealous that I basically called Chu Wonhee interesting."
"You don’t mean it in a romantic sense, so it’s okay."
"How did you know that?"
"I already figured out your taste, old man."
"And what would that be?"
"A hotheaded sassy twink."
Song Moonho laughed out loud. "That’s an interesting way to describe Gong Yool."
"I didn’t mention names," Yejun said, and then he got up when his guests started to get out of their cars one by one. "Let’s get this done and over with."
KWON Jiwoong was forced to come to the Blue House at that ungodly hour because of Hwang Frost’s threatening call.
That rascal was in a hurry, so he had no choice but to come there in his pajamas.
Fortunately, he was able to grab a coat and his shoes.
It was also a good thing that Hunter Sung— his personal bodyguard— lived with him. Hence, he didn’t have to drive to the meeting place by himself.
Jiwoong trailed off when he recognized the faces of the big shots standing in front of their respective cars.
And even Fall Guild’s Guildmaster Hamin.
[These people are the backbone of South Korea...]
"Kwon Jiwoong, I need to return to Wonhee’s side soon so I’ll make it quick," Hwang Frost said impatiently. And then he handed Jiwoong several envelopes. "Here. These are all the formal recommendations of these esteemed big shots here." This update is available on novel★fire.net
Jiwoong knitted his eyebrows. "Recommendation for what?"
"To reinstate me, Hwang Frost, as an S-Class and make my comeback as a member of the Big 4 official."
"Why would I approve this?"
"Because I won’t let APA hand Chu Wonhee to the World Rankers who secretly arrived in Korea."
Jiwoong flinched. "Y-You already know?"
"APA isn’t the only one who has an information network all over the world," Hwang Frost said arrogantly. "Anyway, if you accept these recommendations, then I promise to get rid of the World Rankers without affecting South Korea’s relationship with UAN."
"How would you do that?"
"You don’t need to know."
"Kwon Jiwoong, this isn’t the time for us to fight," the former South Korean President Yeon Suk-yong said sternly. "When an outside force threatens South Korea, then we must unite and protect our small nation together."
[I can’t refute that.]
"Can you really do it, Hwang Frost?" Jiwoong asked in a serious tone. "Can you both protect the country and Miss Chu from the World Rankers?"
"Yep, I can do that," Hwang Frost said confidently. "So, I want you to send those World Rankers to the place I chose."
Jiwoong belatedly realized it, but...
[Hwang Frost is bossing me around again!]
WONHEE almost dropped her iced coffee while watching the news.
[He’s really on the news, but...]
"Hwang Yejun," Wonhee whispered in disbelief. "Why did you make a private jet crush into the Han River...?"
