Chapter 133: Chapter 133

YEJUN was pushed out.

And so were the others.

He couldn’t believe that someone– or something– was capable of momentarily deactivating the abilities of all the Awakened People in that area.

It was just a freaking moment.

And, yet, it was enough to trap Chu Wonhee inside that stupid water sphere.

Everyone was repelled except her...

... and Lee Seodam, that fake herbivore.

Yejun knew there was no way in hell the Big 4 was repelled and not a weakass Hunter with fake source of strength.

His warning bells were ringing loudly in his head.

And, so, he immediately ran towards the water sphere.

He was prepared this time.

Unfortunately, an invisible barrier blocked him.

Yejun threw heavy punches quicker than he did when breaking the giant white tortoise’ outer shell.

He also put more weight in his punches– he was that desperate.

However, his desperation didn’t translate well to his fruitless attacks because the invisible wall protecting the water sphere didn’t even budge.

He even became more desperate to break the damned thing when he saw a whirlpool appear behind Wonhee.

The whirlpool wasn’t a Crack, but it looked like a portal.

Fortunately, Wonhee was yet to notice the whirlpool behind her.

[Wonhee-ya, don’t move and just stay where you are.]

Yejun stepped back, preparing for a more powerful attack.

And then it happened.

Yejun saw Lee Seodam pushing Wonhee into the whirlpool behind her.

He felt his heart drop to the floor.

And when Wonhee completely disappeared along with the whirlpool...

"YOU GODDAMN BASTARD!"

SONG MOONHO flinched after hearing Hwang Yejun– no, Hwang Frost, yell angrily.

The others were a beat late because Hwang Frost was freaking quick on his feet and react faster than everyone else during an emergency, but all of them immediately jumped to try to save Chu Wonhee.

It was shocking that they got repelled by an unknown element, but they put that thought aside and worked together to break the invisible wall.

Of course, no one worked harder than Hwang Frost did.

But, in the end, everyone’s efforts were rendered useless.

They all saw it– they all saw Hunter Lee Seodam push Chu Wonhee into the whirlpool that looked like a portal.

Yeon Soobin, Shin Geon, Jang Semi, and even Do Ahyeon lost it right away.

But, of course, everyone came back to their senses when Hwang Frost yelled.

[Because he didn’t just yell.]

The amount of Mana that exploded from Hwang Frost was frightening.

Ah, that reminded Song Moonho of something ridiculous.

[There’s a funny saying that goes : if Hwang Frost is insulting you from head to toe while sneering, you’ll live. If Hwang Frost curses at you during a fight, then you’re already half-dead. But if Hwang Frost isn’t saying a single world, then that means that Ice Demon has come out to murder the hell out of you.]

Most people were the most scared of Hwang Frost when his mouth was shut.

But Moonho begged to differ.

[A quiet Hwang Frost is only quiet because he’s using his brain to plan your murder. But that means he’s still rational enough to think.]

However, a loud and emotional Hwang Frost was bad news.

"Everyone, prepare yourselves," Moonho warned his fellow Big 4 members. "That kid is about to snap, and Chu Wonhee is not here to stop him from going berserk."

That was Captain Lee Jiho’s voice.

When Moonho looked up, he saw at least fifty B-Class to A-Class (probably unregistered) Hunters literally falling from the sky.

They all had the same fit and the same "square-head masks."

[Ah, it’s the Anti-System Faction.]

Moonho was about to summon his "pets" to deal with the small-fry villains, but he didn’t have to do anything.

Hwang Frost stomped his feet on the ground.

And then multiple long and sharp ice spears shot up from the ground– piercing through the square-headed villains’ bodies mercilessly.

Of course, the villains tried to avoid and protect themselves from the ice spears.

But B-Class and even A-Class Hunters couldn’t hold a candle to an enraged Hwang Frost who just lost his beloved Guide.

[If Hwang Frost wants you dead, you’re dead.]

In just the blink of an eye, every single square-headed villain was impaled by Hwang Frost’s deadly ice spears while suspended in the air.

Those poor souls died before they even landed.

Moonho didn’t care about them, though.

And he had something more interesting to watch anyway.

It was because when Hwang Frost stomped his feet on the ground, the concrete had turned into ice.

And then the water sphere froze.

Yes, that scary bastard froze the water sphere that was made of Impure Mana.

For the record, even Moonho who dealt with monster corpses and their dead Mana wouldn’t be able to do something like that easily.

It wasn’t the right time to feel inferior, though.

This wouldn’t be the first time that the Big 4 were working together, so they knew how to act even without talking to each other.

[Reminds me of the good old days.]

Song Moon raised his leg at the same time Hwang Frost, Graham, and Jang Semi did.

And then the Big 4 kicked the invisible wall protecting the water sphere at the same time.

Not only did the invisible wall collapsed after a strong quake– the water sphere also broke into hundreds of slightly big pieces.

As soon as the water sphere disappeared...

Hundreds of ice daggers flew in one direction, impaling Hunter Lee Seodam in the arms, torso, and legs.

But Moonho could tell that Hwang Frost didn’t hit the other Hunter’s vital organs.

[He kept Hunter Lee Seodam alive on purpose.]

Moonho found something strange, though.

[Why isn’t Hunter Lee Seodam fighting back when he didn’t run away after pushing Chu Wonhee?]

Moonho thought Hunter Lee Seodam stayed to fight.

[But Hunter Lee Seodam looks clueless now for some reason.]

Hwang Frost grabbed Lee Seodam by the face at the same time Yeon Soobin and Jang Semi surrounded the soon-to-be-dead Hunter.

"Where did you take Wonhee?" Hwang Frost asked coldly. "You have ten seconds."

Lee Seodam spoke with difficulty. "I... don’t remember..."

"Then you’re useless," Hwang Frost said coldly. "Die."

Song Moonho knew that Hwang Frost would really kill Lee Seodam on the spot.

Then, just before Hwang Frost could deal the final blow, something caught Moonho’s eyes.

Black smoke oozed out of Hunter Lee Seodam’s back.

"Hwang Yejun, drop him!" Moonho yelled in a hurry. "Now!"

Fortunately, Hwang Yejun still had the wit to listen to him.

Moonho raised his hand and summoned his ’pet.’

Hundreds of skeleton hands emerged from the ground, grabbing Hunter Lee Seodam’s body and lifting him up.

Now there was a staircase of skeleton hands as tall as a skyscraper.

And Hunter Lee Seodam was on the top.

[I still need to get him as far away from us as possible.]

Moonho wanted to lift Hunter Lee Seodam faster, but Hwang Frost suddenly jumped and ran up the skeleton hands staircase.

"Stop him!" Moonho yelled. He couldn’t run after Hwang Frost because his skeleton hands staircase would collapse. "We will all die if Hwang Frost touches Lee Seodam!"

He didn’t have enough to elaborate, so he could only say that much.

Fortunately, Graham immediately leapt to action and shot up to the sky– barely catching up to Hwang Frost.

[Graham is the strongest among the Big 4 after Hwang Frost.]

"Hyung– I mean, Hwang Frost!" Graham yelled. "Calm the fuck down!"

And Graham threw his fireballs at Hwang Frost to "calm" him.

Right, that would work.

"Song Moonho, is it that weird fog coming from Lee Seodam’s back?" Jang Semi asked while looking up at Lee Seodam on top of the tall staircase made of skeleton hands. "That’s the first time I’ve seen something like that. Do you know what that thing is?"

"I don’t," Moonho said bluntly. "But my gut feeling is telling me that we shouldn’t touch it."

"Well, your gut feeling is rarely wrong," Jang Semi said. "I’ll take a sample of that fog."

He was about to warn Jang Semi to be careful, but there was a sudden shift in the air again.

Both Moonho and Jang Semi looked up above them...

... in time to see a boy– probably around age 5-7– come out of thin air.

The boy, wearing a classic set of suspender shorts and a tangerine head costume, stomped on Hwang Frost’s forehead with his expensive-looking loafer shoe while yelling.

"CALM DOWN, YOU IDIOT!"

And then Hwang Frost fainted.

Moonho was shocked. "Who is that boy?"

"ARE YOU still alive?"

Wonhee slowly opened her eyes.

She was greeted by a small face adorned with adorable freckles.

The strange girl’s other features were also familiar: green hair and a pair of glowing red eyes.

"Yeah, it’s me," Bitna answered casually. "Have you come to your senses. Wonhee-ya?"

It was really Bitna in the flesh!

Wonhee got up abruptly. She wanted to ask what happened after she fell into the whirlpool, but she stopped when she saw where she was.

A beach– a beautiful beach with pinkish sand.

[It looks like paradise here.]

No wonder Bitna was dressed in a white flowy dress while barefooted.

[But she’s supposed to be in a dungeon, so...]

Wonhee gulped hard before she asked. "Bitna-ya, are we in a dungeon?"

"Uh-huh," Bitna confirmed Wonhee’s fear while nodding. "Do you remember what happened to you before you got here?"

The pain and rage she felt after getting betrayed still weighed heavy on her heart.

"Hunter Lee Seodam pushed me into a whirlpool," Wonhee said slowly. It was because she was trying to breathe properly while managing the anger rising in her chest. "So, the whirlpool was a Crack door?"

"It wasn’t. The System did it best to grab you and bring you here instead of letting you get swept away to a different place– and that’s the good news. I have some bad news for you, though."

Wonhee once again gulped nervously. "W-What’s the bad news?"

"There’s no exit here, Wonhee-ya," Bitna said bluntly. "We can only get out of here when hell freezes over."
