Chapter 24: Chapter 24

Ella slowly opened her eyes and looked around her. Her eyes widened, seeing she was not in her room. Even if Ella felt a little dizzy, she stood up and went to open the door. She tried

twisting the knob, but it was a failure. Ella slumped on the ground and cried hard, knowing it was locked.

"Was it him? Was it Mikael who kidnapped me?" she mumbled while sobbing. Ella couldn't believe it; she refused to accept everything. She trusted Mikael as her friend.

Ella heard the door creaked open, and Mikael entered. Her heart broke, seeing him. He is the one who kidnapped her.

"Why?" Ella asked. It was the only word that came out of her mouth. Mikael avoided her gaze and put the tray on the bed. She stood up and slapped Mikael on the face.

"Why!? Why did you do this to me, Mikael!?" Ella asked and cried while punching Mikael on the chest. "What did I do?" she added. Mikael grabbed her hands and pushed her gently. She hugged herself and sobbed. Her friend betrayed her again. Mikael went out without saying anything or explaining. She ignored the food Mikael brought and close her eyes, wishing for Blaze to find her soon.

She was surprised when the door opened, and an elderly went inside. Ella sat up and stared at her. The older man glanced at her and to the untouched food beside her.

"Why didn't you eat? Is it not to your liking?" he gently asked. Ella remained silent, clasping her hands together. "You need to regain your strength, child," he added.

"Why am I here?" Ella asked. She doesn't know the man. Her family is not wealthy, so the ransom money is out of the question. "I want to go home, sir. Please, let me go back home," she added quietly. She was shocked when the man threw the vase on the floor. She heard it shatter loudly. The older man walked towards her and patted her head.

"I'm sorry, but you can't go home," the old man said. "You should eat. The maid will go here and will help you with everything," he added and left the room. She heard a click sound outside and realized it was locked again.

"What do they want from me?" she muttered under her breath. Ella pulled the tray and began eating her food. The older man is right. She needs to regain her strength and escape from the place.

Blaze went out of the car whiles grinning. He will see his mate again. Blaze entered the packhouse and saw Mason, the one in charge of protecting Ella, sitting on the couch while his mother was on the opposite side. Blaze's forehead creased.

"Mason, where's my mate?" Blaze asked. Mason flinched; he fidgeted and looked at Blaze.

"Alpha, something came up," Mason quietly said. "The Luna is missing," he added. Blaze's expression darkened; he bolted as fast as lighting in Mason's place and punched him straight to the face. Mason fell to the ground, grunting. Blaze grabbed him again and threw a punch.

"Blaze, stop it!" Candice yelled and tried pulling her son back.

"What the fuck did you say!?" Blaze shouted. "Why is she missing!?" he added. "I'm sorry, Alpha," Mason said and bowed his head.

"You only had one fucking job!" Blaze yelled angrily. He was about to punch Mason one more time when Caleb stopped him.

"I'm sorry, Alpha. I am," Mason said. "I did what you ordered and guard her, but when I was about to fetch her to her room, the Luna disappeared," he added. He was a failure of a warrior. He couldn't even correctly guard the future Luna of the pack.

"Her classmates said she was in a hurry. I tried to find her everywhere, Alpha," Mason muttered. "I went to her house and to the place where she usually hangs out, but she was nowhere to be found."

"I will accept the punishment, Alpha," Mason bravely said. It was the only way he could atone for his failure to protect Ella. Blaze gritted his teeth and growled; he wanted to kill him.

"Calm the fuck down, Blaze!" Caleb shouted. Blaze glared at him.

"How can I fucking calm down!? My mate is missing, for fuck's sake!" Blaze said. He breathed deeply, trying to control his raging beast that wanted to come out and rip everyone to pieces.

"Call Marco and Trevor," Blaze ordered. "You, Mason, Adrian, and Clarence will join me. We will find my mate, your Luna," he added. Caleb nodded his head and went out of the packhouse while Mason stood still with his head bowed. Blaze went inside his room.

"Fuck!" he cursed under his breath.

"Find, mate! We need to find her!" his wolf worriedly said. Blaze kept pacing back and forth. "We will find her. I promise," Blaze answered. Caleb entered his room.

"Blaze, they are ready," Caleb said. Blaze nodded his head and followed Caleb outside; he saw his warriors. He looked at Marco and Trevor, the best tracker on his team.

"Track her down," Blaze ordered. They all transformed into their werewolf form and followed Marco and Trevor. They searched and searched for hours, but they couldn't find Ella's smell or any clues around. Marco said someone cleaned the tracks.

They tried finding her in the woods. Blaze already informed the allied pack, but nothing, Ella was nowhere to be found. He's frustrated, thinking of the possibility that someone might harm Ella. Blaze wouldn't forgive himself if something terrible were to happen to his mate. The rain started pouring in the North.

"Alpha, we need to go back. It's difficult to track her down while it's raining hard," Trevor said through the link. Blaze sighed and went back to the packhouse. Candice handed her son a clean towel.

"Did you find her?" Candice asked. Blaze shook his head.

"Where's my baby!? Where's Ella!?" Elisa said while crying. Blaze helped her.

"I'm sorry. I promise I will find her," Blaze whispered. Elisa wept while Candice hugged her. Blaze promised himself that she would find Ella no matter what, even if it cost him his life.

Ella fixed her dress. A helper entered her room earlier and gave her a dress. When Ella asked something, the helper only responded with a smile and helped her.

"Let's go," Mikael said. Ella rolled her eyes at him. Mikael grabbed her hand and dragged her outside. They went down the stairs, and suddenly a light focused on her.

"Ladies and gentlemen, meet my granddaughter, Ella Merlyn Scott," the old man announced and clapped his hand. Ella's jaw dropped. She couldn't believe that the older man who kidnapped her was her blood relative.
