Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Ella doesn't know how many hours she's standing in front of the forest entryway. She's been going here for days without fail, but she doesn't dare to enter. Ella was afraid that she would see Blaze. She heaved a sigh and walked back.

When she entered her room, she quickly grabbed her laptop and searched about werewolves. Ella was immersed in reading that she couldn't see her mother enter her room.

"Dear?" Elisa called. Ella looked up and quickly closed her laptop. She smiled when her mother sat on the edge of the bed.

"Why are you here, Mom? I thought you have work," Ella said, her forehead began to crease.

"I have, but I asked for an early out," Elisa said. She doesn't have the assurance if her daughter's fine; that's why she asked to leave early. It's a good thing her boss allowed her.

"You really shouldn't, Mom. I'm really fine," Ella said with a smile.

"I don't want to force you to share your problems with me, but I want to be by your side when you are dealing with it," Elisa said. She wasn't around when her daughter was hurt in her last relationship.

"Thank you, Mom," Ella answered sincerely.

"Oh! I almost forgot, a man is waiting outside the house," Elisa said. "He said his name was Caleb, Blaze's friend," she added. Ella's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't know Caleb followed her to her house.

"And you didn't invite him in?" Ella asked. Elisa shook her head.

"I need to go," Ella said and hurriedly got up on the bed. Elisa looked at her daughter, rushing to go out of her room. She went downstairs and opened the door, seeing Caleb leaning against the wall.

"What are you doing here!?" Ella shouted. She clearly said that she doesn't want to talk for now. Caleb scratched the back of his head and slightly bowed. He doesn't want to go back to the packhouse empty-handed.

"I'm sorry, Ella. I want to talk with you," Caleb said. Ella pinched the bridge of her nose and sigh. She couldn't say no to his persistency.

"Come inside," Ella said and opened the door. Caleb followed her quietly. She slumped on the couch, and Caleb did the same in front of her. Elisa walked gracefully while looking at the man.

"I'll go back to the clinic. I forgot something. You can talk here," Elisa muttered and smiled. She trusts and respects her daughter's decisions and choices. Ella watched her mother's back until she finally disappeared in her line of sight.

"What is it that you want to talk about?" Ella asked. Caleb played with his finger. It was the first time he felt anxious talking to the future Luna of the pack. But he wanted to do this for his friend.

"Please, talk to Blaze," Caleb said. "He's been a mess since you found out everything," he added. Ella felt like her heart was pierced by something sharp. Imagining Blaze's sad face puts her on edge.

"H-how is he?" Ella stuttered while asking quietly.

"He locked himself in his room and won't even talk to any of us," Caleb answered. Ella couldn't help but cover her mouth with her hand. Her Blaze was hurting too.

"Blaze needs you, Ella. Please, talk to him," Caleb begged. There was a long silence between them.

"Bring me to him," Ella spoke that bringing a massive smile to Caleb's face.
