Chapter 9: Chapter 9

"We were in our house far from the herd. My father owned the house there. We go to him on holidays. He was in the middle of a forest, and that night my brother didn't come with us, so it was just the three of us."

"How old were you?" He asked me and I feel how much he cares

Eight years, and at night I woke up to the sound of my mother waking me up, she gave me a phone and she looked terrified I couldn't ask anything

On my way out of my room, I saw my father from the window standing in front of a number of people I did not know, but my mother quickly pulled me to the back door of the house and told me to run as fast as possible and never turn around and leave this phone with you, your brother will come to save you

I knew something was wrong I tried to refuse but my mom just pushed me to go and then I started running until I felt like I couldn't run any more I sat by a tree waiting for my mom and dad to come back to me " I felt my heart aching to remember this and suddenly William's hand grabbed mine To give me a sense of comfort I also grabbed his hand to continue.

I stayed there for a few hours until my brother came and rescued me .

After that I don't know why but I found my comfort in fighting and training and I was just leaving all my pregnancy in the fight

And when I started growing up I started getting involved in business with my brother and helping him and going to several places and living my life normally

But two months ago, one of my students died. He was in the border and was killed in front of my eyes because of the rogs. Again, I couldn't do anything and didn't save him, just as I didn't save my father and mother, so I left everything and just kept fighting and training.

"It wasn't up to you, Alison, your student, who died, it was his fault. You don't have to blame yourself for something that's not your fault. You can't save everyone." He said to me with a smile.

" why are you smiling ?"

"You really look like my brother, he always says the same thing to me."

“Which means we are telling the truth,” he replied, still looking at me with an expressionless face. I hope to see his smile someday

"What about you? About your parents?" I asked him to feel his body starting to harden after my question to leave my hand and stand up

"It's too late to go." He started walking to stand up, too, followed by his parents' permission, a sensitive subject to him. At least we made a little progress.

"Aren't you going to have breakfast, Alison?" Adele asked

"I don't feel hungry, thank you Adele, I'm going," I replied as I closed the door, heading for my day, as usual, to the center until lunch time for everyone to leave the center and there was only me and Finn left

"Aren't you going to eat?" he asked me

"I'm not hungry, thank you" I replied

"Okay, I'll go," he said, getting out of the center. I just sat watching the calm around me. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I really don't have an appetite to eat.

"Alison, how's it going?" Kristen asked me as he walked forward with a plate of food in hand

"good"

"Hello," he gave me the Chinese

" What is that ?"

"your food"

"I'm not hungry"

"I apologise, but you have to eat it against your will."

" Why ? "

"Because if you don't eat, I will be punished, and I don't want to be punished ." I laughed at his sentence.

"Come on, Kristen, it's not like Andrew is going to punish you because I refused to eat."

"I wish it was Andrew who ordered me to bring your food."

"So who?"

"Alpha come on cheeks" I grabbed her to look at the food

" thank you "

"I understand, I will convey your thanks to him, but after he finishes his meeting."

"I meant to thank you, not..."

"Yeah yeah come on now start eating I'll have to make sure of that before I go" I laughed before I grabbed the fork and started eating well my appetite has opened because of him at least I know now that he cares a little

“How did he know that anyway?” I asked him

"He knows everything, especially around you. He's watching your every move inside the herd, big or small." I nodded softly to finish my meal .

"So do you think I'm his girlfriend?"

"I'm sure I don't think"

"How are you sure?"

"And it was hard because he didn't care for a woman in his life, he didn't show a single point of interest to any girl, but he suddenly showed interest in you. If you weren't his girlfriend who would you be?" I nodded at his persuasive answer and lowered my empty plate of food.

“My job is done now, I have to go.” He said, walking towards the door

“Thank you, that’s really thank you.”   He said waving his hand at me before he walked out and I saw Jack enter

"Jack, didn't you go eat your food?"

“I’m already done and I want to start training, I want to get stronger even more.”

"I like your enthusiasm, Jack, but is there a reason for that?"

"I want to take first place."

"Which first place?"

"Because after we switch, a fight is prepared and supervised by all the officials, and whoever gets first place wins an award and respect from the Alpha side, and I really want to win and make my parents proud."

"Well, I believe that determination creates the will to achieve anything, so I wish you success."

"Thank you, just tell me something and I'll do it."

"Okay, so it's    minutes until training begins. You can start with the warm-up first until your friends come." I told him to nod and start.

After I finished my class for the day, I looked at my watch, it was only four in the evening, it was still early, and before I got home, I found Adele standing and looking at me.

"Alison, I've been waiting for you."

" Why ?"

"I want you to go with me"

" where ? "

"You've never been to the city, and since I'm going there, I decided that we should go together."

"Okay, but can you just wait a few minutes for me to change my clothes?"

“Of course I’ll wait for you.” She smiled as I walked into the house, I put on my short jeans and a T-shirt

I picked up my small bag that was holding my phone, wallet and car keys and went out again to find Adele waiting for me

"You look so beautiful and cute, I don't know how you became such a small fighter."

" Why ?" I asked her to start walking towards the garage

"You look like you're going to fall with just a puff of air, but you're much stronger than that."

"The size does not matter in combat, on the contrary, I can use it as a strong point during the attack."

"Okay, stop, you're starting to speak in a language I don't understand." She laughed at her answer, before I started to get to my car.

" where are you going ?" Adele's voice stopped me

"To my car, shall we go by car?"

"Yes, we'll go by car, but not your car, but Andrew's car," she said, giving me the car keys and heading towards his car. He had a big kind of car.

"But why did you give me the keys?"

"Because I don't know how to drive," she answered me, getting into the driver's side seat before I turned around the car to get into the driver's seat. It's a big car compared to my small car. I put on my seat belt before I started driving outside the herd heading towards the city.
