Chapter 8: Chapter 8

Allison's POV

"Then, Alison, let me introduce you. It's Christan Gamma, our flock. This is Christan Alison."

"Don't worry, it's all good," he said, "let's take our hands off." I looked up a little at William, and moved my head for him in a kind of peace, so he could give it back to me too.

"Okay so now that you two know each other we should go and also Alison if you want you can call me my phone is always on."

"Okay, I understand, don't worry, go," I answered, watching him get into the passenger seat of the car on which William was leaning, who was watching me, or rather looking at me, and I turned my eyes to Kristen.

"So shall we go?" Kristen told me to nod and go back to the station and finish my training when I finished my work I went to Andrew's house but a girl's body caught my attention

As soon as I saw her, I followed her. The girl stopped in front of a small house. I approached her to turn and look at me

"Hello" I told her

“Hello,” she replied, looking at me questioningly

"I wanted to know if I was okay about what happened last time. I ran so fast I didn't know where to find you next."

"I'm really fine, the alpha made the people who bullied me get punished, and Gamma Kristen came to check if I was okay," she said with a smile.

"Then that's good," I told her

“No need to be thankful, I did what needs to be done and you too from now on don’t be afraid of the most rank of them, they are there to protect you and anyone who needs protection” I explained to her

The story continues below

"Yes, my mom says that too."

“At the mention of your mother, come in, I must have delayed you.”

“No, how about you come into my house?” She pointed to her house

"I don't want to bother you anyway, my name is Allison" I told her as I extended my hand to her

"Then I'm going to the meeting now." I waved to her to go.

I came home to eat dinner with Adele

So is there anything new with William?

" No, there is not"

"Alison, I know we're not friends or that related, but I really consider you a close person, especially since you will be the color of our herd. I'm starting to feel that bond with you from now on."

"I'm sorry I did not mean Adelle make you feel sad I'm just someone who is not used to make friends or that there will be someone close to this class so I did not know how my companion approached him I think I'm just bad at communicating with others , " I told her to look at me with concern

"Don't say that Alison, you're a wonderful, strong girl, and I believe that Alpha William has a reason, not you."

“Thank you, Adele. Even if you are not my friend, you are still part of my family, and that is the most important thing.”  I told her to smile at me before we finished eating and I helped her do the washing and went to my room to sleep.

the next day

Allison's POV

"Jack, you were good today in training, I was surprised how you used the technique of beating the opponent by knocking him to the ground, just remember next time use your whole body, it will make the process easier" I said to my student Jack

“Okay, coach, thank you,” he said, smiling proudly

"So that's all we have to train us for today. I know you have school tomorrow so there will be no training with me in the morning, but we'll make up for it in the evening, okay?"  I told everyone

“Concept,” they answered, I put on my jacket and went outside and started discovering the herd

Here they have beautiful views and large forests. I was trying as much as possible not to get lost and today I decided to go to a plain beside a beautiful river that I discovered two days ago that it is calm there.

I got to the place and felt that someone behind me turned around to see Kristen heading towards me

" How are you ?"

" fine, and you "

"Me too, so I discovered this place."

"Yes, it's quiet" I replied as I sat on the field for him to sit next to me

"As if someone could get close to you, you'd knock them down before they touch you."

"Whatever, I'm counting on you," I told him, closing my eyes. The weather here makes me want to take a nap. I only felt myself asleep.

I opened my eyes after a while I didn't know how much time passed I looked at my side and didn't find a good Kristen I relied on him to protect my back but he just left me lesson number thousand and one in life Don't make anyone protect your back while you sleep because they will definitely leave you

Suddenly I smelled a scent I know well on my other side and I quickly turned around while still lying on the ground. It's William sitting and looking at the river

I quickly sat down and looked at him but he didn't look at me I didn't know what to do whether to talk or not so I just chose silence I turned my eyes to the river like him and we sat there after a while I felt him lying down I looked at him and he closed his eyes maybe he wanted to stay alone I tried to stand but William's hand prevented me when he caught  With my hand, sparks would run through my body, after which I looked at him to find that he had opened his eyes

“Don’t go.” He was silent for a while before he continued, “I… I feel… at peace… next to you.” He admitted with difficulty.

I nodded at him before going back to my place and looking at our hands still holding my hand, not as if I hated it, but it was strange that sometimes he acted like he wanted me and sometimes not.

I continued to sit there for a while he was asleep. I could feel his regular heartbeat, evidence of his deep sleep. I lay next to him and started watching his face.

I raised my hand towards his face to calmly adjust his lock of hair but he surprised me when he grabbed my hand quickly and hard and removed it before opening his eyes and looking at me as if he was waiting for someone to try to attack him but he found out that I was just letting out a sigh before he let go of my hand and sit down me too.

"Sorry, it's a reaction," he told me

The sound of my phone interrupted us to open the line

"brother   " I said on the phone

" How are you?   " Ask me

"good   "

" Yes, I spend some time with Adele and find out about the herd too   "

" How is Zack I miss him   " I asked him to feel that William was looking at me I looked at him too and I couldn't tell why he looked at me like this he looked in an uncomfortable way as if he heard something he didn't like.

"Are you trying to do things other than training??  "

" So it's good that I sent you there. If you had stayed here, you would have just spent all your days in the training room   "

" Alison, I missed you. Do you know that I got  st on the school soccer team?   " Zach's voice is on the phone to smile

"First, didn't I tell you to call me Aunty, not Alison?  " I answered him and William looked away as if he had discovered something that made him relax. Wait of course he thought it was someone Zach and not my nephew. Is he jealous?

"I'm sorry Aunt   "

"Then, I congratulate you on your first place   "

" Thank you, Mom, I salute you, and now I have to hang up, bye-bye   "

"Bye   " I hung up the phone

“Why did you bother to train in your flock? ” William asked me after he heard my conversation with my brother to look at him.

"Just.. it's a way to escape a little from reality" I answered frankly

“I want to know,” he told me

What reality did you want to escape from?

" what ?"

Is he trying to get close to me? I'll tell him, and if I want him to open up with me, I must open up with him too

"Alpha, I'm not..."

William interrupted me in annoyance as he corrected the way I called him before I could continue

"Sorry, William, I'm not perfect as you told me, I suffer and I have too many cuts and shortcomings. Perfection doesn't describe me."

"Maybe that's why we are companions to complement each other's shortcomings" I told him to look at me with hope perhaps?

"And don't describe me either," he said sadly

“You didn’t answer my question.” He changed the subject

“You know how the previous Alpha and Luna White Crescent Flock died, right?”

"You mean your parents?"

“Yes,” I replied

Yes, Rogers attack.

“Yes, I was with them.” I replied
