Chapter 80: Chapter 80
“If you dare try to run away, your punishment will be ten times worse.’
I had to get up.
“Now, come closer to me. If I move a step, you are doomed.’
I hastily got up and blocked Damien, who quickly hugged me from behind.
I shook my head, pleading with my eyes. “Don’t do this. He’s just a child, and he has done nothing wrong. Please, if you are angry, pour the anger on me. Don’t touch Damien.”
“He’s not your child. He’s not Nolana, Oceana, but mine. And why the hell are you interfering? What isn’t your business, huh?’
“Please, Garold, please.’ I pleaded with him.
“I will train my child the way I want, not you telling me how to raise my child.’
I stood up with my shivering legs and wiped off my tears. “I am not telling you how to raise your child. I just don’t want Damien to get injuries on his body. He’s going to school tomorrow and this could affect him and you if any of the teachers notice these marks on him. Try to understand, please.’
He looked at me for a while and ordered. “Damien, get down on your knees now.’
Damien shivered behind me and slowly got down on his knees.
It welled his eyes up with tears.
“He’s a wolf, an Alpha I presume because there are no Omegas in my family, so don’t tell me how to raise my kid. Mind your own damn business and think of how to give me a son.’
“Garold…”
He cut in. “Gerard is not coming back. He abandoned you in your time of need, the hardest part of your life, and died miserably like the coward he was.’
“Stop.’ I whispered.
“And he is your brother. The realms have always praised him for being so powerful, but to me, he’s nothing but a loser. And I have seen nothing he ever contributed to the realms in his entire life. The only thing he did was to spill his seed in you and boom, he was gone.’
“The people loved him…”
“Oh shut up,’ he darkly scolded. “What else did he accomplish apart from bonding and impregnating you? And fleeing the scene without knowing the consequences of his actions like the smart Alpha he claims he is?” He got closer to me and whispered. “I am sick and fucking tired of your damn feelings. If you don’t act like the wife I married you for, I will make sure I take your daughter from you and you will never see her again.’
“Please Garold…”
“If I had known you were this love sick fool, I wouldn’t have gotten married to you. Trust me, it will be your doom. I will take whatever you cherish away from you so you can feel the pain I go through.” He brushed past me and announced. “Damien should stay there for an hour crawling around the mansion. That should teach him a lesson.’
I was stunned.
I broke down in tears while hugging Damien, who kept crying nonstop. I was heartbroken and devastated again, seeing blood flowing down my legs. I knew I had lost my child again.
I had another miscarriage.
Why is my life so messed up?
I called for the maids to take care of Damien and to put him to bed personally, but to make sure his father didn’t find out the situation the both of us were in..
They obeyed me.
I got up and went to the bathroom quickly to wash up so Garold doesn’t know about my miscarriage…
I cleaned myself up and went to the bed but Garold wasn’t there anymore.
Thank goodness he wasn’t here.
I didn’t want to see him.
I dozed off and woke up the next morning, got ready so I could take Damien, Nolana and Chloe to school since Carmine didn’t come back last night to pick up his daughter.
And Garold was nowhere to be found, either.
Great.
I saw a text message from my mother ordering me to come see her at a cafe as soon as possible.
I rolled my eyes, having this suspicion of what she was going to be up to.
I went to see my mother at a cafe since she wanted me there, instead of the pack.
I got there and sat down in front of her without greeting her and looked serious for a second.
“How unbelievable! Can’t you greet your mother you’ve not seen for a couple of months?”
I ignored her and sighed.
I demanded, going straight to the point. “Where is…”
“Don’t push my limits. You are not seeing anything,’ she declined.
“I gave birth to my baby and for five years, I haven’t set my eyes on what my child looks like. Can’t you just allow me to see my child for once, please?’ I begged.
‘I’m not allowing you to see him. You cannot see your child because a nice and well-known family adopted him, and they are taking good care of him.”
“You what.’ I snapped and kicked off the table between us, smacking it into pieces, and everyone gasped in fear. “Where is my child?’
I yelled, and she gently got up from her seat.
“How on earth did you give him up for adoption?’ I cried. “Why? Why did you give my son up for adoption?’
“Don’t make a fuss over nothing. I am with the documents and you have to behave or else you will never see your child again.’
“Mother.’ I cried.
“I gave him a nice pack. Where no one can ever find him and he’s well nurtured and living happily with the family he had always wanted. And you have to make Garold believe Nolana is not Gerard’s biological child. You adopted her as a replacement for your lost child. It scared you to tell him because you wanted to heal your heart. And now you’ve come clean about it.’ she paused, took her handbag and nearly walked past me when I stopped her, falling to my seat.
I will never deny Gerard’s daughter. He is the father of Nolana. How can I deny his child’s identity?
It’s so cruel.
“That’s the plan for now.” She stated.
I wanted to die hearing those words from her.
I whispered. “Can I at least see him, know where he is and how much he has grown so much?’
It was now or never. I don’t have time for this sort of bullshit. I need to see my child, and that’s all that matters to me at this point.
“You will never find him, no matter how hard you try,’
I faced her. “Let me see him, please.’
She handed me a black envelope with a camera.
“Look at it.’
