"He's a good Alpha, from a good family. His reputation, and his image both with his family are clean, pure blood from the Mackenzie Clan. They are the fastest wolf alive in history and hardly any wolf outran them. Can't you see we want the best for you."

"Mom, you are not giving me the best. I don't care where he comes from. How good his reputation is. You don't even know what he likes, what he dislikes, if he has anger issues, difficulties in understanding someone, you don't know that and you are gifting him to me."

"Your father and I can never give you what will harm you. Listen, young lady, I know what is best for you."

I don't want this to happen. I don't want to get married. I'm already wealthy and powerful, what else do I want from him that I can't get. I don't need him, I am doing just fine."

I want you to stop this nonsense and consider him, you are quite young, with time you will understand that what I'm doing for you is for your good." She got up from the bed. "Respect yourself."

"What if I find my mate sooner than you'd expect? Wouldn't that be disgraceful to the clan and to the Alpha. He will feel so embarrassed in front of the realms." I pointed out.

"It wouldn't be disgraceful. Everyone will understand and know that you are destined by the moon goddess to see your mate. For the meantime, he is a good man, trying to understand you. I was boiling with rage, my hands were turning red.

I couldn't control myself, I sobbed for hours to no end, it shattered my heart into pieces learning Gérard was getting married.

He was abandoning me once again and getting married, how dare he?

I was his mate. How could he leave me and get married without considering how it was going to affect me?

For the next couple of days, I didn't go outside, train or go to school, I didn't even care to see my best friend, Jessie.

I just shut everyone out, my mind was too weak and numb to think, even the bitch Emily requested to see me.

Who does she think she is, I don't want to see her nor my brothers.

I don't want to see anyone.

All of a sudden, I heard someone unlock the door hastily, as he flared it open, his expression wasn't something I could describe at that moment.

Why was he here?

I shifted closer to my bed, relaxing my ass after knowing it was him.

Adolph majestically walked in with a smile.

"Good morning, Alpha."

"Good morning to you, Alpha Adolph, for barging into my room like some scoundrel," I said and he flickered his white hair behind his ear and walked up to me wearing brown leather clothes and black boots.

"I heard you've been hiding in your room all day like a drenched puppy." He teased and I nearly gleamed.

He is a vigorous Alpha.

"And your hair is like an old man's.' I was trying to get back at him but that didn't fit in, since he was handsome.

And also having white hair is part of the clan too, since he's the son of the Lycan King, who collaborates with my father, the Wolf King as the pack calls him.

"Don't care, it shows I'm part of the bloodline of my family and not a fake.' He proudly stated.
