Chapter 114: Chapter 114
Ian's POV
I couldn't help but ball my hands into fists whenever I see Winter and Matthew acting sweet with each other. Why is he acting like a gentleman when he's actually a jerk? It's so obvious that he and Belle had some past, but he acts as if he never cared about her or they never had a relationship. I mean, why would Belle react so much if they never had a relationship?
"Don't make it too obvious that you're jealous. They might notice it, you know." I whispered to Belle while we were walking towards the booths.
She glared at me. "I should be the one telling you that. You keep on frowning at Matthew even if he's not even doing anything. Also, the way you smile at Winter reveals everything already."
"Oh, so you're jealous now? You're jealous because I smile a lot at her? Huh?" he suddenly said as he put his arm around my shoulders.
"And why would I even feel jealous? I don't care about anything you'll do, anyway. Can you remove your arms around my shoulders already?! It's annoying!"
She kept on taking my arms around her shoulders, but I teased her even more.
"Oh, look at this love birds. Acting so sweet in the middle of the crowd. Fine, we're now convinced that you love each other, okay?"
We both stopped walking when we suddenly heard Winter. We just realized she and Matthew were looking at us with smiles on their faces. That's when we only realized what we were doing and so I immediately moved away from Belle.
"Why are you guys flushed? Oh, right? You're just starting. For sure, simple things like that would really make you feel embarrassed even when you don't even have to.
"E-Embarrassed? And why would we even feel embarrassed? In front of you? No way!" I said, which made Winter and Matthew laugh.
I held Belle's hand again as we started walking. When she tried to pull her hand back, I glared at her. I know we don't even like each other, but we need to do this stupidity to convince Winter and that asshole.
"Ian, why don't we play that game and have a bet?" Winter asked me as soon as we arrived at the corner of the amusement park where booths were placed. Without hesitation, I nodded my head while looking at her with my head held high.
"Sure! But promise me you won't cry if you lose."
She widened her eyes at me. "If there's someone who's going to cry here, it's not me. It's definitely you. Right, why don't we just play now and see who will have the last laugh?"
"Fine!"
We then started playing the shooting game while Belle and Matthew were just watching us. The winner would get a huge teddy bear as the prize. I couldn't stop laughing while watching Winter getting so serious about the game. Her brows were furrowed and her eyes were much focused on the target, as if her life depends on it.
"I won! I won!" she exclaimed after the last round. She was jumping like a kid, then she went over to Matthew and hugged him.
I just averted my gaze not to see that awful scene. Why did I even decide to go on a blind date with them? Now, I get to see them flirting with each other every minute. I should've just thought of a way how I could go out alone with Winter.
"I just let you win because I know you're going to cry if you didn't." I teased Winter.
"Oh, come on. Stop pretending already. I know I'm so much better than you when it comes to shooting."
She suddenly sniffed while touching her bare shoulders, so I immediately took off my jacket and was about to put it on her shoulders, but Matthew was able to do it first before I did. They both looked at me confusingly, as if I was going crazy.
"Ian, why don't you give that to your girlfriend instead? I think she feels cold, too?" Matthew suddenly said to me.
"R-Right, I was actually going to give it to her." I made an excuse not to look like an idiot and faced Belle instead. "H-Here."
"T-Thanks."

"You were so obvious a while ago," Belle said to me while we were on our way to her house.
Winter and Matthew already said they were going to ride the bus, so we went home first.
"Right. I already know I looked like a fool when I gave her my coat. I just automatically do that whenever I see her feeling cold. Also, I didn't think Matthew would give his coat instead."
"Also, you looked like an idiot when you were playing that shooting game with her. Instead of looking at the target, you were looking at Winter while smiling."
I heaved a sigh without taking my eyes off the road. "I know that already. Stop teasing me, okay? As if you didn't look like still simping over Matthew. Your eyes automatically twinkle whenever you're looking at him, you know."
"At least I am not as obvious as you."
"Fine, you're the winner now. By the way, do you want to have some coffee before heading home?"
She looked at me. "Huh? Sure."
We stopped by a coffee shop first before heading home. While we were talking to each other, the waitress walked over to us with a smile on her face. "Here's your order, ma'am and sir. By the way, may I just ask if you're a couple? You look like one. You look good together."
When the woman finally left, Belle and I looked at each other and laughed.
"At least, we look like a couple in the eyes of strangers. That only means our plan is working."
As I turned my head to the other side of the shop, I saw a man wearing a black cap while holding a DSLR. He immediately stood up and left the coffee shop in a hurry when I caught him.
