Belle's POV

"Do you guys want to go to the amusement park after this?" Winter asked me and Ian while we were still in the restaurant.

I was about to refuse, but then Ian immediately cut me off. "Sure, let's go there."

"That would be fine. I actually never got to go to an amusement park before, but ever since Elisse came into our lives, I have realized that it's actually fun going there. How about you, Belle? Have you been to an amusement park before? I mean, when you were still a kid?" Winter suddenly looked at me and asked.

I nodded my head and forced a smile on my face. "O-Oh, yes. My parents used to take me to amusement parks before."

"That's cool, then. Speaking of parents, has Ian already met them?"

"No, I haven't met her parents yet. But for sure, I'll meet them soon. Right, babe?"

That question took aback me. I was never asked about my parents ever since they died. Also, asking about them now only makes me remember what happened that night. I could see Winter and Ian gazing at me as if they were really waiting for my answer. My hands were getting cold and shaking, I didn't know what to say.

"A...Actually -

"Shall we head to the amusement park now?"

Themis was the one who changed the topic. I glanced at him and he just nodded at me. Every single time, he's always the one who saves me. Whenever I need someone to be by my side, Themis will surely appear and do everything just for me not to get hurt or harmed. He's my only superhero.

The three of us stood up. Themis was the one who carried Winter's bag, and he even guided her inside the car. All of us just decided to use Ian's car, since Winter also suggested that she and Matthew would ride a bus to go home later.

Themis was the most gentleman I have ever seen in my life. He always makes sure you're alright and comfortable. The way he's treating Winter now was the same way he treated me before. I've always wondered how lucky her future girlfriend would be. I couldn't help but smile whenever I think about that because I was so confident that I was going to be that lucky woman. But then, I was wrong.

"We're finally here!" Winter cooed as we stepped out of the car.

I never thought that Themis would fall for someone who's as childish as her. She's noisy, scandalous, and only cares about her looks, which Themis definitely hates.

"Come on, babe."

"H-Huh? W-Wait!"

I only came back to my senses when Ian suddenly held my hand and we ran towards the roller coaster. I even glanced at Themis as we ran past them. In the end, the three of us rode the roller coaster. Ian and Winter were the ones who obviously enjoyed the ride.

"Shall we ride that octopus next?" Ian suggested.

I shook my head. "I don't think I can still try another ride. I guess I'll just wait here. Go on without me."

"Me too. We'll just wait for you here. Ian, take care of Winter." I got surprised when Themis said that.

"Of course, I will. So, shall we go there now? Little kid?" Ian asked Winter.

"Don't call me a little kid! Let's just see who'll end up crying after the ride."

"That's right! Let's see!"

As soon as Winter and Ian left, I glanced at Themis who was still looking in their direction with a smile on his face. The smile on his face only vanished when he caught me looking at him. "Would you like to buy something to drink?"

"H-Huh? Sure."

We walked over to a booth that sells some lemon tea and sat back on the bench again while waiting for the two. We were just looking at the people passing by when Themis suddenly spoke. "So, how are you doing? I mean, are you happy with Ian? Is he taking good care of you?"

If I say no, will you break up with Winter and go back to me instead?

That was the question inside my head, but of course, I didn't say that.

Instead, I forced a smile onto my face. "O-Of course, yes. He is taking good care of me."

He nodded his head with a smile on his face. "That's good to hear, then. I'm glad you found a man who's taking care of you. But, he doesn't know about anything yet, right?"

"I haven't told him about it yet. Also, if I tell him about that, wouldn't he suspect you? He knows we're childhood best friends, anyway."

"I'm sorry."

"Huh? Why are you apologizing to me?"

"I'm sorry if you have to hide everything about yourself from your boyfriend. I know you want to show him the real you and make him know you fully, but then, because of me, you wouldn't be able to do that."

I shook my head. "It's not your fault, Themis. Besides, you can't tell Winter about your real identity either. I know that's hard for you, too. Also, I can tell him about everything when we finally succeeded."

"I promise, I will do everything to finish all of these as soon as possible. Then when that day finally comes, we can finally live in peace without worrying about anything and without hiding anything from anyone."

"I can't wait for that day to finally happen," I said, smiling at him.

"Me too. I can't wait for that day."

Sitting next to Themis like this makes me want to go back to those days when I was still the one he cares the most about. When he always looks after me, and when I was still the one inside his heart. How I wish I can go back to those times.

"Pumpkin!"

Suddenly, Winter and Ian arrived. Winter ran towards Themis and hugged him tightly while Themis was wiping her sweat while smiling endearingly at her.

I guess I can never go back to that time anymore.
