Chapter 102: Chapter 102
Winter's POV
"Oh, preparing lunch for your husband?"
I smiled at Ian as I closed the lunchbox and wrapped it in a handkerchief. "I don't have a lot of things to do today, so I think I will just bring him some food to eat. He said he often skip eating lunch so I'm worried about him."
"Just bring that to him already. I don't even care about that man."
"Fine. Then just stay here and look after my office."
"What do you think of me, your personal secretary?"
I walked over to him and pinched his cheeks. "Actually, you can be one if you want to. By the way, I have to go now. See you later, Ian!"
He just glared at me as he waved his hand goodbye.

"Is Matthew inside his office?" I asked one of the employees when I finally arrived in front of Matthew's office.
She smiled shyly at me and lowered her head. "Yes, Miss Winter. Sir Matthew is inside."
"Thanks."
With a smile on my face, I reached for the knob of his office door. I got surprised upon opening it when I saw Belle laughing with him as if they were really having so much fun. They both looked in my direction and stopped talking when they saw me.
"Winter." Matthew stood up and walked over to me.
"I'm sorry. Did I disturb the two of you?"
Belle also stood up and gathered a pile of papers above Matthew's desk. "It's alright, I have to go now anyway. The two of you can talk to each other now."
"Thanks, Belle." Matthew even walked her to the door, then closed it behind him after.
He smiled as he walked towards me again. "You didn't tell me you're going here."
"Because I wanted to surprise you. But I guess I'm the one who's more surprised." I said while looking at the cup of coffee and an open lunchbox that still has leftover baked sushi which they probably shared together a while ago when I haven't arrived yet."
"Oh, that. Belle just passed by and decided to give me some of the baked sushi that she made last night."
I nodded my head. "For sure, that tastes delicious."
"It does. Don't worry, next time I'll make sure to make baked sushi for you and Elisse. By the way, why are you here? Don't you have anything to do?"
"If it's that delicious, then I guess I shouldn't have brought you this."
"What is that?"
I averted my gaze from him. "It's nothing. I'll just throw it away since I think you're already full."
"No, I'll eat it. Come on, let's sit there."
"I said no need to. You don't have to force yourself to eat it."
Before I could even move the lunchbox away, he was able to grab it from me. "Let me see it."
He placed the lunchbox above his desk and opened it. "Salmon Nicoise salad. This looks delicious."
"You don't have to force yourself, you know. I know you're already full. If I just know Belle was going to bring you lunch, then I wouldn't have gone here."
"Why are you saying that? I didn't know she was going here, too. And besides, I guess I still can eat it. Come on, join me."
I had no choice but to sit on the chair beside his desk. He grabbed the cutlery and started eating the salad I ordered from his favorite restaurant while I was just watching him. For sure, he was just forcing himself to eat it just so I wouldn't get mad at him even more.
"Would you like some?" he suddenly asked me.
"No, I'm full."
"Alright, then I guess I'll eat it all."
I glared at him, grabbed his fork, and shoved some salmon in my mouth. "I won't let you eat all of it."
He pinched my cheek and wiped the corner of my lips with his fingers. "You're jealous of Belle, aren't you?"
"W-What?"
"It's so obvious. I already told you, there's no reason for you to be jealous of her. She's just a childhood best friend of mine."
"But you look so happy with her a while ago."
"You look so happy whenever you're with Ian, too," he said while eating.
"Oh, really? Then are you jealous of him, too? Are you telling me not to go with him anymore?"
He put his cutlery down and flicked my forehead. "That's not what I'm saying. What I mean is that we shouldn't be jealous of people we both respect. They are our friends, it's natural for us to be happy around them."
"But Belle is your first love. I know you had feelings for her before."
"But you are my girlfriend now, so I'm not interested in anyone anymore aside from you."
He said that in a calm, and casual voice, but heat immediately captivated my whole face. "Is that really true?"
"Huh? Of course, it is."
"Then prove it."
Matthew ate all the remaining salad and looked at me with furrowed brows as he reached for a bottle of water. "You want me to prove it?"
"Uh-huh."
"But how?"
"Kiss me."
He drank water and gave me a death glare. "Winter, we're inside my office."
"And so what? You don't want to kiss your girlfriend?"
"My secretary and other employees might go here any moment. And if they catch us doing something that isn't work-related, then they'll also think they could do it too."
I pouted at him. "Just tell me if you don't want to kiss me, you don't have to make any excuses."
"I'll walk you outside this building. Don't forget to call me once you're already home." He said as he stood up and started cleaning his desk. He closed the lunchbox and wrapped it in a handkerchief again before looking at me. "Let's go."
"Matthew...."
"What?"
"Just kiss me first..."
He heaved a sigh and patted my head instead. "You should learn how to behave sometimes, you naughty pumpkin."
