Chapter 52: Chapter 52
Third Person’s POV
“Move her to a room!” Klaus ordered, and some rogues carried the crying Clara into a room. Clara continued to shout as they brought her to the room. When they laid her down on the bed, Clara immediately squirmed in pain.
When the doctors finished preparing the tools for Clara’s delivery, they sat beside Clara, “Push,” One of the doctors said to Clara. She tried sitting up to push her baby out of her womb. “Aaaargh!” Clara shouted in pain. The doctor supported Clara while pushing her child.
“Almost there! I see the crown of the child’s head,” The female doctor said.
“Push!” The doctor beside Clara shouted, and Clara tried to sit up again to push her baby. She repeatedly shouted until they heard the cry of the child.
Clara breathed heavily, tired of continuously sitting up and pushing her child out. She looked at the child in the arms of one of the doctors. She cried happily while listening to her child’s cry. The doctor was about to give the baby to Clara when Klaus intervened.
“Give me the child,” he said with a threatening voice. Clara’s eyes grew wide in surprise, and she realized they would get her child.
“No!” Clara shouted and tried standing up to get her child to Klaus. Clara fell to the ground and crawled to Klaus in her weakened state.
“Give me my child!” Clara cried to Klaus and started begging him, but Klaus smirked.
“Be honored, and this pup will be reborn as a perfect werewolf,” Klaus said and laughed devilishly.
“No, Klaus! That child doesn’t know anything! Please, give me my child!” Clara said, grabbing his pants. She cried to Klaus, begging him to return the child to Clara.
“Return her to her cell,” Klaus ordered, uninterested in Clara’s cries. Two rogues guarding the prison dragged her, and Clara cried.
“No! Please! Give my child!” Clara shouted, trying to get her baby. She struggled against the rogues and used some of her power, and she broke free from the grip of the guards on her. She ran towards Klaus, and when she got near, Klaus slapped her, causing her to fall to the ground. She dragged herself to the floor to get near Klaus and grabbed Klaus’s feet.
“I am begging you, please, that child is mine!” Clara cried and begged again, but Klaus was not interested in her and kicked her away from him.
Clara squirmed and hugged her stomach in pain. She grunted in pain and forced herself to sit. She looked at Klaus and her child in his arms. “What are you planning to do?!” She shouted at Klaus.
“You don’t need to know,” Klaus said, using his most serious voice. He turned his back to Clara and started walking towards the door. Clara raised her arm, trying to reach for her child. She cried and rested her head on the floor.
“My child! I’m sorry,” Clara cried in her thought. Her wolf, Angeline, was on the verge of going crazy, but she kept thinking about Clara’s weakened state.
The guards dragged Clara and threw her into her cell. Clara cried and shouted in her cell. She fixed herself and sat properly on the floor. “YOU DARE TOUCH MY CHILD! HEAR THIS, KLAUS! REMEMBER MY WORDS! I WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU! I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO END YOU MYSELF! CURSE YOU KLAUS! CURSE YOU!” She shouted in her cell and continued to cry.
Alpha Louis, who is currently chained in his cell, watched Clara as she cried. Alpha Louis didn’t need to ask what happened, and he instantly understood what had happened just by watching Clara cry. He watched Clara quietly, looking at her sadly. He pitied her and thought that she didn’t deserve any of these. He bit his lip and thought about a way to let her escape from this hell.
Clara became silent and then laughed. Alpha Louis’s eyes grew big in surprise. “Hahahahaha! This fucking life,” Clara said.
“She is losing it,” Alpha Louis thought.
Clara’s POV
“Oh, my child, please be strong until I get to you. I promise you, even if my limbs and arms get cut off, I will find and save you,” Clara said to herself.
“Angeline,” She called for her wolf, who was trying to restrain herself, to go berserk.
Clara closed her eyes and focused on restraining her wolf. When she felt that her wolf had calmed down, she looked at the ceiling of her cell. “Why is this happening to me? Tell me, Evangeline, please tell me, moon goddess,” She thought. She curled herself in the corner of the cell, rested her head on his knee, and continued crying until she couldn’t cry. Clara fell asleep, letting her fatigue take over her.
Days went by, and Klaus never visited the cell. As the days passed, I felt empty, and my body was still recovering from giving birth. I felt empty and dead. “Erik, where are you?” I called, still hoping for Erik to reply. “Let’s escape,” Alpha Louis said. I raised my head and looked at Alpha Louis quietly.
“We need to make way for us to escape,” He added, and Clara smirked.
“I will not escape. Once I get the chance to get out of this shitty cell, I will look for my child,” I replied.
“No, escape and gather some of your subordinates and return,” Alpha Louis replied.
“So you are telling me to abandon my own child?” I asked, starting to get angry at his words.
“Let’s say you managed to find your child. Then how can you escape in your weakened state? You can’t even protect yourself in that body. How can you even protect your child? You will hasten your death together with your child,” He said angrily.
My eyes grew big, realizing that his words were indeed correct. Even if I managed to save my child from Klaus, I could not guarantee our lives when we even managed to escape. “Do you even have a plan?” I asked.
“We only need one chance. I can guarantee what happens after,” Alpha Louis said confidently. He seems confident, so I nod in reply.
Thinking about escaping made my blood boil. I was so angry at everything and couldn’t take the emptiness I felt. The longing for my child and my mate gradually takes over my emotions and body. “Please, moon goddess, help us to escape,” I prayed.
“Angeline, master up our powers. We need to stand strong to escape,” I said to my wolf.
“I will don’t worry, I will,” Angeline said, growling.
Only one chance. We only need one chance. I will stake my life and trust Alpha Louis. I can’t think of anything, and I feel so hopeless. That is why I will trust Alpha Louis on this.
“Clara! Clara!”
I gasped as I heard the voice of Erik. “Erik! Finally!” I shouted back, but there was no response any longer. It must be that he somehow got near where I am, but the connection won’t be that strong because of the wolfsbane.
“Erik! Erik! Please!” I called repeatedly.
“Clara! Where are you!” He asked. I stood from the floor and desperately got near the wall with a small window.
“Erik! Listen carefully! They took our child!” I shouted in my thoughts, hoping for him to receive my message.
“Do you know where you are?!” He replied anxiously.
“I don’t know. I’ve been locked up in a basement!” I replied. I rushed to the entrance of my cell in front of Alpha Louis’s cell. “Alpha Louis! Do you know where we are?!” I asked.
“I do not know. I’m sorry,” He replied, and I bit my lip in frustration.
“Erik! Never mind me. Please find our child!” I said, but there was no response.
“Erik?! Erik!” I called, but I still got no response. I punched the wall angrily, frustrated that I couldn’t connect to Erik any longer. I shouted angrily and just punched the wall continuously.
I will not let you get away with this, Klaus. Whoever is backing you, I will make sure that I will send you all to hell. You will pay for all the pain that you’ve caused me! It’s time to end this war for both of us.
Days went by, and my body became thin. I can say that I became malnourished. However, I can feel some of my power, and it is starting to come back after I give birth. Angeline became quiet and stopped weeping to gather strength for our escape. Since that day, I also haven’t heard anything from Erik. I sighed. What are they doing to my child? Are they even feeding him properly? I hope nothing bad happened in these past few days.
“I miss you, my child,” I said to myself. I was thinking about my child when I heard someone’s footsteps. “I see that you are still alive.”
I raised my head and looked at the wolf of talked. It was Merlin, the evil witch. “What do you want?” I asked while glaring at her.
“Nothing important. I want to see your pitiful look. You look disgusting,” She snarled.
“How about you? You look dead” I smirked, but it was true. She looked like someone who was brought back from the dead. She looked so tired and pitiful. At first glance, you can say that she looks like a crazy old woman.
“You’ve become old,” I added. Her face became red from embarrassment, and she gritted her teeth. Seeing her embarrassed and angry expression. I laughed devilishly.
“It seems all of your evil-doing is becoming transparent,” I said.
“Y-y-you bitch!” She shouted while stuttering. She spat on me and left the prison in a hurry.
I sighed and stared at the small window in the left corner of the cell. The sun has set, and another day has come by. Alpha Louis is also gathering his strength, and it seems he has a plan for our escape.
“I have gathered enough of our powers to help in our escape,” Angeline said, and I smiled. Everything is set, we need an opportunity and we can escape this hell. I let my sleep take over me, and the next morning, I woke up, seeing Klaus standing in front of me. I got surprised for a second but immediately launched an attack on Klaus.
“Hahahaha, what a feisty she-wolf,” Klaus said.
“Where’s my child?! What did you do to him?!” I shouted at him angrily and desperately. I was trying to destroy the wolfsbane bars.
“Don’t you worry. He is still alive and kicking,” Klaus said, smirking at me.
“What are your plans? Tell me, tell me, Klaus!” I shouted.
“In the full moon, your son will cease to exist,” Klaus said, his expression turning into a serious look.
“Tell me!” I shouted in reply to him, but he just smirked and then left the prison.
I turned to Alpha Louis, “How long?!” I asked desperately.
“As I have said, we only need one chance,” Alpha Louis said. He calmly said and looked at me with calm eyes.
“How long do we have to wait for that one chance?!” I replied angrily.
“CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING? ONE CHANCE!” Alpha Louis said, using his most serious voice that shut me up.
I know what he wants to say and what he means, but I cannot wait any longer. I am desperate to get out and find my child. I know, I know that he means well, but I am scared. I understand that he means well, but I can’t waste any significant time here. I need to find my child as soon as possible. Amid our conversation, I realized that I was shaking. I looked at my hands and saw them shaking. In frustration, I balled my hands into a fist and bit my lower lip.
“Calm down, Clara. I need to be strong. I cannot shake the fear and need to focus and gather my strength. Let’s trust Alpha Louis. I need to trust, oh my moon goddess, what will happen to us in the end?”
I closed my eyes and rested my head on my arms, hugging my legs. Is there even a day when we will feel what happiness truly means? I sighed and let myself sleep.
