Clara's POV

I felt sorry for Erik for a second when I unconsciously used my powers on him. I was furious at him that I started to cry the second I saw him gone in the library.

Am I being overly sensitive? I don't know. "Calm yourself. Our mate is guilty," Angeline said, trying to comfort me.

I don't know why I was so angry at him, but I was not too fond of the fact that he kept insisting, telling me he didn't want a child. It was like telling me he didn't want a future with me.

"Go and talk to him again," Angeline whined, missing her mate since I avoided Erik the whole day and even planned on sleeping here.

"Open this door, Clara," Erik said behind the door. He spoke calmly, but it was the tone that he used when he was talking to our subordinates.

I got even angrier at his tone of voice and ignored him. "Clara! Can you please not make our little argument a big deal!" He shouted, trying to explain himself, which he failed.

"Is he some sort of stupid?! Little argument?! If it's little to him, but it's big to me. How can he say little?! The nerve of this guy. What arrogance he has!" I thought.

"Clara," He said softly. As usual, I heard him talk to me, and my heart skipped a beat. His husky voice lured me closer to the door, trying to listen to what he had to say.

"I'm sorry, my love, it's not that I don't want to have a child. I do. I always think of building a family with you, sweetheart. I am scared to be a father, but that didn't stop me from dreaming of a future with you. I'm sorry for letting my pride take over. Please open the door and let us sleep in our room," He explained and used his sweetest voice. I felt him being sad, lonely, and guilty in our link, and I pitied him.

"What if I'm pregnant?" I asked, trying to give him a chance.

"Then I will try harder to take care of you both. Whatever happens, I'll love you wholeheartedly," He said, which melted my heart.

I opened the door and pouted at him. He instantly grabbed me by the waist and hugged me tightly. "I love you," he whispered.

I hugged him back and cried. "I love you too," I sobbed. Whenever someone talks about an heir or me having a child, I get overly sensitive to the topic.

"Let's go," He said, offering his hand to me, which I gladly took.

It's been a month since Tia left for her seclusion, and now we are outside the place where she decided to hold her isolation. All of us were here, including the pack. They were waiting for their Luna.

We'd been standing for hours, but the pack members still waited patiently for their Luna. In front of the place's entrance, Vincent was staring at the door. He must have mixed emotions since he never felt, saw, smelt, and held his mate for a month.

We were not sure if Tia would come out today, but the territory is now full of fresh trees that we were able to cut down the old ones to deliver to be used for the wall on the borders. The barrier is also done so that no one can come in except for the pack members and us.

We were waiting patiently when the entrance exploded. I covered my eyes, protecting them from the smoke. When the smoke settled down, Tia was standing, and her hair was so long that it seemed to be her gown. She looked even younger, and she ran towards Vincent. Vincent was surprised at Tia's reaction for a second but hugged her back lovingly.

We came towards her, and everyone from the pack bowed to her. "Welcome back, Luna," they greeted.

Tia smiled at them, not surprised at their actions. She waved her hands at them, dismissing their bow. I walked toward Tia and hugged her. "I missed you so much!" I exclaimed. Tia laughed and hugged me back. Lia and Angela also hugged her.

"You need a serious haircut," Erik said sarcastically.

Tia flicked her fingers, and instantly, her hair changed into how her hair used to be. The pack members gasped, amazed by the action of their Luna.

"You're not surprised?" I asked.

"Yes, I could see what you all were doing while I was putting up the barrier. I was more surprised that Erik gave his title in the pack," She said, looking at Erik seriously.

"I can't have two titles," Erik said, dismissing the topic. Tia shrugged and glanced back at Vincent, staying quiet all this time.

"Well then, everyone, I think I need to have private time with my mate," She said and grabbed Vincent on the arm, dragging him away from the crowd.

Vincent's POV

I was waiting patiently, and I didn't even get to react appropriately when she rushed her way toward me, hugging me tightly. She never did that before, so I got a little surprised.

After greeting everyone, she turned to me, grabbed me by the arm, and dragged me away from everyone. I got surprised again at her actions since she never came to me. I'm always the one who comes to her.

"Hey, slow down," I said softly.

She stopped, let go of my hand, and faced me. "Didn't you miss me?" She asked. My eyes grew big for a second, but I instantly masked them.

"Of course I missed you. I missed you so much," I said, grabbing her from the waist to hug her tight.

"I missed you too. That's why when I finished setting up the barrier, I couldn't wait to see you," She confessed. My heart melted at her words, and I tightened my grip on her.

I thought she won't feel the same way I do since she always acts cool and cold. That is why I was so surprised that she worked first towards me.

We walked towards our room, holding each other's hands. When we arrived at the room, she kissed me passionately, and again, I was surprised, but who am I to complain when I am enjoying this kind of thing from her?

I kissed her back passionately until I couldn't stop myself any longer and ripped her clothes. She giggled and put her arms around my neck, continuing our kiss. She jumped into my arms, and I carried her to lay her down on the bed. I removed all of her underwear and licked my finger to insert it into her. She moaned, looking at me full of lust. I licked my lip at her look and thrust my finger inside her. While moving my finger, I nibbled her nipple and started licking it hungrily.

"Oh, yes, please," She said flirtatiously.

After ensuring she was wet enough, I removed my belt and pants, showing him what was mine. She bit her lip, staring at me from my face to my private part.

"Come to me," She said, ordering me.

I inserted all that was mine and kissed her passionately while thrusting inside her. She moaned beautifully, which made me feel more aroused than usual. I deepened my thrust, causing her to shout my name.

"Vincent! More! More, ugh, ugh, ugh! Vincent wonderful, faster baby, faster!" She exclaimed.

I did what she wanted and fastened my thrust on her so I couldn't hold my moans any longer. We did it for hours and didn't notice it was dark already. I claimed her again and slumped my body to our bed beside her. We were both catching our breath. I turned to her, lying down on my side. I kissed her again passionately and licked his neck to where I could mark her.

My wolf surfaced, wanting to mark our mate. I stopped licking her neck and looked her in the eyes. She looked back at me quietly, just stared, and was waiting for my every move. I calmed my wolf and didn't want to force Tia, thinking I should wait until she was ready. I kissed her head and covered her properly with our blanket.

"I love you so much, my life," I said. She smiled at me and looked at me seriously.

"Mark me then," She said.

My wolf howled in my head, and I was surprised that my eyes grew big for a second, and I instantly moved above her.

"Are you sure?" I asked, observing her see if she was ready. When I saw her determined face, I leaned toward her and started licking the place where I'll be putting my mark on her.

She moaned, making my wolf feel crazy. I grew my canines and marked her. She groaned, biting her lip to stop her screams. When I marked her correctly, I removed my canines and started licking at the mark for them to be closed.

She hugged me tightly, and I looked at her. My wolf is currently in control. My wolf felt aroused at her stare and claimed her again until morning.

Morning came, and I felt delighted, despite sleeping for 3 hours. Our mating process was complete, and I looked at my mate, who was lying beside me, sleeping peacefully.

I kissed her and forced myself to get out of bed. If I wanted to, I would stay beside her the whole day. I smiled, remembering her surprised look at the pack's and our mate's links.

"So this is the link," She said. She gasped again and looked at me with wide eyes. "I can feel your emotions," She said, amazed at the link. I laughed at her reaction.

I entered the bathroom and took a shower. After changing into my suit, I walked toward her and kissed her before heading to the office. I was about to leave when she grabbed my hand. I glanced at her and saw her round almond eyes looking back at me.

I smiled at her returning to sit on the bed. "How are you feeling, love?" I asked, fixing her wild hair to the back of her ear.

"I feel so sore, I'll rest more," She said, feeling sluggish. I smiled at her and kissed her again on the cheek.

"I'll be at the office," I said. I was about to stand up when she talked again.

"Vince?" She called me using my nickname for the first time. The seclusion she did make her sweet

"Hmm?" I replied, holding her hand.

"I love you," She said. I hugged her tightly. Whenever I confess my love to her, she smiles at me. This was the first time that I heard her say it.

I felt so happy that I kept hugging her while she was lying on the bed.

"She is finally opening up to us!" My wolf said and agreed with him.

Tia laughed and broke the hug. "Go now. I want to rest, and you go to work," She said. I kissed her again before leaving her to work.

I headed straight to my office happily, but my mood got ruined when I saw Erik sitting in my office waiting for me.

"What do you want now?" I said, showing him my uninterested voice.

"YOU MARKED HER!" He said, excited. I got embarrassed at what he said.

"Shhh! Can you keep your voice down!" I said, scolding him. He laughed, enjoying teasing me. I rolled my eyes at him and headed straight to my seat.

"So? What brings you here?" I asked seriously.

"Since Tia returned, I want everyone to start preparing for war," He said, his voice full of authority.

I stood, understanding what he meant and what he wanted me to do. I bowed at him while smirking. "Yes, your majesty."

"I will see to it myself that everything will go smoothly," I said, showing him my confidence.

He smirked at me and lay down on the sofa. "You're staying?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes, I'm bored," He said. He must have finished his work early and decided to bug me.

"You!" I said, wanting to scold him, but I held myself back. He is trying to irritate me, and when I play along, I'll lose.

He groaned when he saw that I wouldn't be playing along with his teasing. "You're boring," He whined. I gritted my teeth and kicked him out of my office.

"Go and look for Ian for you to pester!" I said.

"But he is too serious!" He whined again, showing me his puppy eyes.

I thought I was going to throw up. "Eww, disgusting," I exclaimed, and he laughed, running away.

I shook my head at him in disbelief.

"That's my king," I mumbled sarcastically.
