Sam's car stood in front of the medicine shop. While Julia was inside there alone, looking completely uncomfortable. Her forehead turned sweaty, her hands wrapping around her belly. She's feeling bad cramps there which made her sitting posture also uneasy. She's trying to sit properly but the pain is getting hard as her back also started showing aching signs. She's trying to overcome pain.

Half an hour ago, when they crossed half the road and were ready to arrive at the banquet. Julia got her periods and cramps almost started with each passing second. She was first trying to endure it as she felt too embarrassed about her situation. She should remember her period date but damn she forgets about it. Her facial expression also started showing something is wrong with her. As she is always trying to adjust herself on the seat.

Sam glanced at her from his corner eyes and saw how she was suddenly looking uncomfortable.

His brows twisted while he couldn't help long before asking her what happened suddenly? Is she not feeling well anywhere?" As he noticed her forehead sweat and dull gaze. He could sense something was wrong.

Julia was embarrassed to tell him about her period. She got a damn period at the wrong time and made her feel like hell. Suddenly, she felt her pain and cramps turn worse. While she held her belly with one hand.

Sam saw her sudden action and felt worried for her. He stopped the car at the corner of the road.

"Julia, are you feeling some kind of pain?" Sam asked as he could see how she was touching her belly.

Julia knew she couldn't hide the fact anymore. She needed help because these cramps were going to kill her. Or most importantly she can't dirty this expensive dress.

"Sam, a-actually, I got my p-period!" She explained embarrassingly.

Sam heard her and the next moment his eyes turned soft.

He now could understand why she was behaving so uncomfortable suddenly. He is not an expert on the period thing as he is a man but he knew his responsibility as a gentleman.

"You are in pain, let's find a medicine shop!" He declared.

Julia tried to deny him and told him. It was normal but he didn't hear her words and immediately started the car.

He stopped the car in front of the medicine shop.

Before getting off from the car, he looked at her with soft eyes while his voice was too gentle for her ears.

"Do you need anything else except medicine?"

Julia shook her head and responded in a low voice, "No…"

Sam nodded. As he guessed, she was still not fine to tell him anything more. But he knew what she could need except medicine.

So, without much more thinking he told her to wait for him, while he went into the medicine store.

"Hello, Sir!"

"How may I help you?" The old lady gave a small smile when she saw Sam coming to her store.

Sam walked toward her counter and immediately said with a small smile," Mam, I need period cramp relief medicine if any is available!"

The lady understood and nodded.

"Yes, we have medicine...please wait!" Sam nodded in response.

The old lady came with the tablet and gave it to Edwin in a wrapper.

"Sir, do you need anything more?"

Sam thought about the pad and immediately responded yes, "Mam I need a pad also…'

Hearing him, Lady smiled.

"Give me a minute!"

A few moments later, she came back with a pad in her hand.

"Here it is...let me pack all the stuff in one bag!"

"Thank you!" Sam thanked her in advance.

While the lady immediately filled both things in a small bag and gave him. He paid cash and came out of the store.

Julia patiently waited for his arrival in the car. When she finally watched him coming out of the store with a bag.

He opens the car door and takes his seat before planting the bag in her hands.

"I get everything you will need…" He smiled warmly while Julia nodded shyly before opening the bag and seeing there was not only medicine but a pad also.

She felt touched by the way he did all the things very calmly. He is not looking embarrassed to bring a pad for her as a man. This thing melts her heart. She looked at him with admiring eyes before thanking him with a generous voice.

"Thank you, Sam…"

Sam smiled back awkwardly and nodded while adding," I know you don't need anything. But I thought it was necessary for this time…"

He felt hesitant to explain because he doesn't know if she will be happy or think wrong.

But Julia smiled and gave him a green signal.

His words put her lips into a smile as she spoke," Yes, I'll need that but I felt embarrassed to ask for it from you…"

Julia didn't hide the fact while Sam nodded in understanding.

They just met today and she got a period. Which made her a little embarrassed for a time. She should be feeling awkward telling him about her issues. As they are not close.

"So, now do you want to go back home?"

"As I don't think, you can attend parties anymore with pain in your belly…" He awkwardly raised a question.

Julia couldn't understand his words and felt the same for her. With pain, she never thought to go anywhere. All she needed now was her soft bed, her ginger tea, and lots of sleep. But the next moment, she thought about Rebecca, her friend, what about her? However, she thought Edwin was there with her, so she didn't need to worry about anything. She will text her about her condition.

After making up her mind, she looked at Sam.

"Yes, I think the same. I don't think I can attend the party. I want to go home for sure…" She sighed as she felt a little disappointment in her heart. She truly wanted to enjoy the party but good doesn't want that for her.

Sam could feel her upset mood but he couldn't help her with her period as it's a natural phenomenon.

"Alright, let's go back…" He announced.
