"Are you excited?" Julia asked, staring at Rebecca who was silently looking at running cars in the road from the car's windows.

"Don't know Julia!"

"I have mixed feelings!" Her eyes were still focused on the road.

"What do you mean?" Julia looked at her friend with a frown.

"I am happy that I will finally see my baby for the first time but at the same time, there is also a fear that what if something turns out to be wrong…."

"Nothing is going to be wrong!" Julia cut her words mid-conversation and responded with a confident face.

"Don't think negatively, Babes! Be positive! I know our peanut is stronger just like her mother!" Julia touched her tummy and looked at her with a warm smile.

Rebecca inhaled a long breath before finally nodding to her with a small nod.

"Hello! Miss Rebecca!" The doctor greeted her with a smile as soon as they entered her cabin.

"Hello, Doctor!" Rebecca answered. Julia showed a small smile to the doctor.

"So, finally you're appearing with your family! That's great!" The doctor looked at Julia with a warm smile and then looked at Rebecca with a hint.

"Yes, doctor, She is my best friend Julia!" She introduced.

The doctor nodded and looked at Julia.

"Hello, Miss Julia!"

"Hello, Doctor!" Julia responded with a big smile and added "Thank you doctor for taking care of my friend until now! Just because of your words she could decide her worth as a mother!"

"It's not a big thing!" Doctor rectified.

"This is all her choice and I'm glad that she's no more depressed about it and I know it's all because of someone's support. So, after seeing you today I know that person is you! You are a great friend for Miss Rebecca!"

"No doctor, she's a good person and that's why I'm good to her!" Julia smiled.

"Doctor, she is just like my soul sister! We are not blood-related but she is more than family." Rebecca talks in the middle. While her words touch the doctor's heart.

"Hey, now let's cut it out! I'm feeling like a superstar!" Julia asserted.

"Yes, that was you! For me and my child!" Rebecca chuckled.

Doctor and Julia also laughed when they heard her.

Rebecca changed all because of Julia's support. How could she not be grateful to her?

"Let's do your normal health check-up first!" Doctor instructed.

"Yes, Doctor!" Rebecca nodded.

"Miss Julia, you can wait here!"

"Alright, doctor!" Julia responded and sat

on the chair.

The doctor takes Rebecca to the check-up room and does some normal checkups like her weight, her heart rate, and her blood pressure.

"It's all done! Let's go back to your friend!" The doctor announced while Rebecca smiled and followed her to go back to the cabin.

"Babe!" Julia went in her direction as soon as Rebecca and the doctor entered the cabin.

"How is everything?" She inquired.

"Everything is fine!" Rebecca answered. Julia sighed in relief.

"Yes! Miss Julia, she's fine, and baby too!" The doctor also responded and added," Now let's move to the main task and perform an ultrasound to see your fetus (Baby).

Rebecca felt nervous but Julia's eyes filled with excitement.

"Finally, the time came to see peanut!" Julia grinned happily.

Rebecca heard her and felt nervous and excited at the same time while her hands automatically went to her abdomen.

The doctor also chuckled to hear Julia's statements while rectifying her words, "Miss Julia, it's not only about to see the baby! But there are many other reasons!"

Rebecca already knew what the doctor was talking about as the doctor already informed her everything with details in advance.

While Julia didn't know everything, she turned curious and asked her, "What other reason doctor?"

The doctor nodded and started explaining.

"Miss Julia, in the first trimester, Miss Rebecca not only saw her baby but could listen to her baby's heartbeat also."

"What? Is this true?" Julia's eyes widened. As a single woman, she is far from this knowledge.

"Yes and not only that we could see how many fetuses she had. It's only one or there are more."

Rebecca's cheeks blushed while Julia grinned happily.

"We can also check on her due date."

"Whether the child is in the correct position or not."

"Are there any types of issues? Like Internal bleeding or not."

Julia heard silently and nodded.

"Now I got it. Why is Rebecca nervous the whole ride! It's not that easy to carry a child." Julia declared while the Doctor nodded.

"Yes, that's why just take care of your friend!" Doctor added.

"I will!" She asserted which made Rebecca smile.

After entering the ultrasound room. Rebecca lay on the examining bed by the nurse while the doctor went to the machine's side. Julia took the chair beside the bed and held Rebecca's hand to give her strength.

The doctor prepared all the things and instructed the nurse to cover Rebecca's bottom part with a slim white sheet except her bottom abdomen part where the ultrasound was going to work.

Rebecca came in the long gown for today's checkup as the doctor already instructed her. So, the nurse did her work instantly and got her ready in minutes.

Rebecca inhaled long breaths as she felt nervous. She's going to see her baby for the first time. She doesn't know how to feel or describe her situation.

"Miss Rebecca!" The doctor's voice makes her look in her direction.

"You will be found! Being nervous is normal but don't let yourself tense so much and miss your best feeling to see your child for the first time!" Doctor smiled.

"Yes! Doctor!" Rebecca finally calms down and Julia squeezes her hand to reassure her that she is also with her.

Rebecca felt glad that she let her come with her. Her presence helped her to be less nervous.

"Now, I'm starting the procedure!" The doctor announced while she nodded.

The doctor wore gloves and applied a gel on the abdomen portion as required. She selects the appropriate transducer and confirms the correct preset to perform a survey scan of the pelvis. She started to scan the uterus, ovaries, and adnexa.

While Rebecca silently looked at the screen and hoped to see her baby there any moment.
