Rebecca's eye enlarged as soon as she met his concerned full eyes.
Her eyes were already a little red when he looked at her which made him frown.
"Mr. Edwin" she instantly retreats herself from his touch and looks at him with a straight face hiding her emotions.
"Are you alright? Miss Rebecca?" This time he used 'Miss'.
"Yes, Mr.Edwin! I'm fine!" She tried to show a small smile even though she didn't make it.
Edwin's eyes tried to read her eyes but it failed. He could only sigh to feel helpless at this moment. He wanted to hug her and asked her why she became upset suddenly? But he couldn't.
So, all he tried was to look professional.
"We should leave now!"
His voice was not so gentle anymore. There is anger but not for her, but for himself.
If he didn't leave her alone that morning. Everything would be perfect right now.
Rebecca felt her boss's mood was not so great. So she just silently nodded.
After attending two conference meetings with Edwin. Rebecca got so tired that even just sitting on her chair started to give her backache. She tried to comfort her back with her hands.
Edwin, who is already in between some important meetings with his financial manager and some staff, noticed her action and instantly realized her tiredness.
"The meeting will be processed the next day. That's all for today!" As he ordered everyone departed his cabin.
He looked at Rebecca who is just one glass apart from him and still doing back massage with her left hand.
Edwin looked at his wristwatch and found there is still half a day left to end the office.

Rebecca felt her health was not so good anymore. She already tried to do her best today but still, she couldn't make it anymore. She wanted to go back home and give her body rest. But what would she say to her boss?
Thinking this, she bit her lower lips.
"Miss Rebecca!" Suddenly, Edwin's voice made her come back to reality and look at the doorway where Edwin was already standing with a small smile on his face.
"Yes, Mr.Edwin" She instantly stood up from her chair and asked in a hurry.
"Please cancel all the appointments for today, I need to go somewhere else," Edwin instructed.
Rebecca blinked her eyes and asked with doubts.
"Mr.Edwin! All the appointments?"
"Yes, you heard right!"
"And you can go home! Because I don't have any more work for you!" Edwin's eyes darted on her while she felt relaxed to hear his words.
She truly needs rest.
"Alright, Mr.Edwin! I'll take care of it!" She showed a small smile that made him glad in his heart.
After he left her cabin, Rebecca felt too light in her heart. Now she could rest without any worries, she thought and touched her belly.
Edwin, who is still behind the door, peeking at her. Saw her action and felt warm.
Suddenly, He felt urged to touch her belly and he knew that day would come when he could share everything with her. He just needs to wait.

"Rebecca, when is your first ultrasound scan?" Julia asked while grabbing some snacks from the kitchen drawer.
"On Saturday!" Rebecca replied while she switched the tv channel.
Hearing her, Julia instantly reached to her side and held her hand between her.
Rebecca felt confused to see her action but not until she heard her.
"Rebecca! Please! I want to go with you! I also want to see the baby!" Julia's eyes twinkled like a child.
Rebecca felt she was truly too hard on Julia whenever she wanted to go with her doctor before. But now she wanted to rectify it.
"Julia, I'm sorry! I didn't bring you with me before but now I also wanted you to come with me! because I would need my family with me at that moment!" Rebecca gently smiled while there was tenderness in her eyes.
Julia felt too delighted to hear her words and how she agreed with her in the first talk.
"That's great then!!! I'm so excited to watch our little peanut!" Julia's words made her chuckle but she agrees on this nickname. "Peanut" is good for her baby.
"My peanut!" Rebecca mumbled to look down at her belly.
"Boss, this is all I got!" Sam put the all-pregnancy book on the desk in front of Edwin.
Edwin's eyes looked through all of them and finally nodded his head in satisfaction.
"You can go now!" He took one of the books in his hand and started to turn his pages.
Sam felt happy to see how much his boss was caring towards Rebecca and his unborn baby.
Now he only hoped. Everything goes well and they both get together as soon as possible.
Edwin got busy studying all the pregnancy books line by line without any sleep until the next morning.
He wanted to know everything. So, he can deal with any situation in a fast way.
He can't stop Rebecca from working but he can still take care of her, staying beside her.
He just wanted her to see, safe and happy.
After completing the study of the last book. He looked at his phone, just to see her picture.
"Rebecca, I hope one day you can forgive me for my mistake and give me a second chance with our baby!" His eyes filled with sadness while he sighed.
Suddenly someone knocked on his study door which made him arch his brows.
It still dawned who could be there. Thinking that he asked.
"Who's there?" His voice turned thick.
"It's mom, son!" Mrs.Hutson tender's voice reached to his ears which made him instantly active.
He glanced over pregnancy books and then looked at the door.
Mrs.Hutson felt Edwin taking too much time to open the door. So, she tried to open the door. But before she could push down the doorknob, Edwin unlocked the door and came out in a slow manner.
"Mom, why are you awake so early?" He asked while he closed the door behind him.
"Son, why are you still here?" Mrs. Hutson's voice filled with concern.
"Mom, it's just office work! I need to read some files!" Edwin explained.
"Alright, but don't overwork like this! I don't want your health to get affected anyway!" She touched his shoulder.
Edwin lightly smiled and held her hand between his hands.
"Mom, I'll remember that! Now you can go back! I'll also take a fast sleep!" Edwin's words made her nod.
"Alright, sleep well!" She said before leaving him.
Edwin looked at his mom back and then glanced at the study door.
