"Are you sure? Do you want to go to the office?" Julia's face looked a little worried.

"Yeah, I am!" It is just a normal pregnancy symptom!" Rebecca looked at her with a haggard face.

She felt terrible in her stomach as soon as she woke up from her sleeping and threw up the fourth time.

"Babes, But I think you should take leave today!" Julia's voice filled with concern.

"No! I'm alright! Don't be worried!" Rebecca showed a weak smile. Even though she doesn't feel good to go, She doesn't have any choice but to work hard for her baby. She can't waste even a single day for herself. When the time is less and responsibility is big.

"Alright, If you say so. But if in any case, you don't feel like working anymore or want to go back home just call me." Julia's voice turned a little serious.

"I promise! I'll call you!" Rebecca assured her.

"Alright then let's go!" Julia nodded and both of them left home.

As they reach Hutson Corporation entrance Julia bids a bye and again makes her remember to call her if there is an emergency.

Rebecca went towards Edwin's cabin to set his schedule for the whole day and arranged his files to check on and sign on them. There is still half an hour left before the office starts, so that time was enough for her to arrange everything properly. She doesn't want to make herself embarrassed just like yesterday in front of her new boss.

But as soon as she opened the door, Her eyes saw the man in a blue suit who was already focusing on the files while his eyes instantly noticed the door movements and raised his head to meet her gorgeous eyes.

Rebecca instantly comes inside and closes the door behind her back.

Edwin never left his stares from her face at all. He can notice her shocked expression even if it is just for a second.

"Good morning, Mr.Edwin!" Rebecca showed a small smile.

"Good morning to you too!" Edwin nodded.

After greeting each other both of them fell silent.

Edwin tries to break the silence between them.

"So.."

"What is my schedule for today?" Edwin asked.

"I...I will make it right now!" Rebecca instantly responded.

"Alright! You can proceed!" Edwin's eyes looked at her tenderly.

Rebecca nodded and instantly left the cabin with some files from his desk and went towards her own cabin which was just one glass wall apart from his.

He can see her the whole day from his seat which made him smile more while Rebecca felt unsettled after their first conversation.

But today he just talks about business without going into any personal talk which made her a little relaxed in her heart.

They are now settling as professionals, she thought.

After making his schedule list, she again went to his cabin.

"Mr.Edwin, there are two conference meetings one by one with our new projects client, while you need to attend one online meeting with our international shareholders who want to discuss the financial crisis."

"There is one additional meeting with the social organization for our charity donation."

Edwin heard everything and nodded.

"Alright then! When was the first meeting?" He asked.

"Just 20 minutes later." Rebecca looked at her wristwatch and then reported.

"Let's move now!" He instructed.

Rebecca nodded and took so many files with her.

Edwin's forehead creased. He doesn't want her to take heavy things. But he can't help her on his own. It only created more fuss.

He took out his phone from his suit pocket when Rebecca was busy with files.

He texts Sam and the next moment he knocks on the door.

Edwin and Rebecca looked at the door side where Sam looked at them with a small smile.

"May I come in boss?"

Edwin nodded.

As he entered he smiled at Rebecca while she smiled at him back.

Her hands were full of files, seeing that Sam instantly understood why his boss summoned him.

"Miss Rebecca, let me hold all these files!" Sam's eyes filled generously.

Rebecca was a little hesitant at first but thinking about her health. She next moment agreed with him.

Edwin saw that and felt relaxed. He wishes he can make Rebecca rest without doing this job but he can't. For now, he can only act with her as a boss.

"Boss, I'll go first and arrange everything for a meeting!" Sam tried to give them alone space.

Edwin just glanced at him and nodded.

As soon as he left. Rebecca and Edwin again fell in the long silence.

Seeing the atmosphere, getting cold. Edwin started the conversation.

"We should leave now! It's already time as you mentioned!" He looked at his watch and tried to act.

Rebecca nodded and spoke in a low tone.

"Yes!"

"Let's go!" He said and first left the cabin to give her some space.

Rebecca sighed and felt. Edwin's presence always makes her speechless. She doesn't know why? Is this because of her lie or does his presence affect her?

Thinking about the possibility her cheeks turned rosy. She suddenly remembered the first assumption of Julia related to the date but the next moment, she shook her thoughts feeling silly on herself.

Julia's words started to affect her mind thinking that she bit her lower lips with frustration and murmured to herself.

"Silly Rebecca! What are you thinking?"

"Don't forget you come to this office for your unborn child. You are going to be a single mother soon! And this is the only destination you can have for yourself but not love!"

"Love is not made for you!"

As soon as she said that, she felt hurt and thought about the stranger who left her without any words after their intimation.

She felt her soul tear apart and pain become unbearable.

No matter how strong she tries to look in her daily life, she also wants a simple love life like others. But destiny is already cruel enough to her that now she doesn't trust her luck anymore. She doesn't dare to believe in someone to rely on with her heart.

Now all she accepts is her faith. In which she will only have herself and her child. Because Julia also can't be there for a lifetime, one day she will also get someone special beside her and needs to leave her.

She doesn't know why she's thinking too deeply today and feeling too emotional.

When she was lost in her thoughts.

Suddenly, Edwin's concerned-filled voice came to her ears while his hand touched her shoulder which made her come back to reality.

"Rebecca, What happened? Are you alright?" His eyes already darted on her upset face which is not glowing anymore but looking too painful. He even forgot to use 'Miss' and took her name directly.
