"Rebecca, Why don't you tell me in the conference that Edwin Hutson, our hot boss, was the one who saved you that day?" Julia's eyes enlarged with shock while her half mouth opened, as soon as Rebecca told her about bar night things after coming home.
"Because I'm not sure that he is the one that time until he turned his head…"
"And smiled at you?" Julia completed her words while there was a teasing smirk playing on her lips.
Rebecca pressed her lips tightly and nodded her head.
Julia's face filled with excitement.
"Oh my God! Rebecca!"
"It means, in the conference, he smiled at you!!!" Julia's voice was almost so loud that Rebecca needed to press her hands around her ears to surpass the voice.
"Julia! Can you please don't shout around my ears?" Rebecca sighed while her brows arched.
At first, she thought to hide it from Julia because she knew how she would react. But after the cabin thing, she felt it's important to tell her.
Julia is the only one who can tell her if she did the right to grant one request to Edwin or not! At first, she lied to her boss, and then as an apology, she let him grant one request even without knowing what he would request from her?
"Alright, I'll not shout anymore! But I want to know every single detail from you, from the bar incidents to how's your day? today with him!" Julia's eyes shone like a teenage girl with excitement.
Rebecca looked at her expression and chuckled lightly.
"I'll tell you everything but please don't look at me with these shining eyes. It's going to make me blind!" Rebecca teased her.
Julia rolled her eyes.
"Rebecca, so now you know how to tease? Huh?" Julia's lips pouted like a child.
Rebecca couldn't help but laugh.
"It's all because of you!"
Julia's brows arched, she tried to show fake anger but Rebecca told her if she wanted to be angry or listen to her story. It all depends on her mood.
Only after listening to that, Julia's lips again smiled while trying to make a cute puppy face and look at Rebecca.
Rebecca chuckled to see how instantly her reaction changes.
Rebecca started to tell her everything without missing any things at all. Even the cabin incident, what she did, and how Edwin reacted.
Julia's lips were always smiling while some things made her speechless.
"So, you are going to grant his one request even without knowing what he would ask from you?" Julia blinked her eyes feeling how her friend is daring to accept this request but knowing that Rebecca is the wrong one from the start. She could only understand her situation to agree on it.
"Yeah, because I was nervous!" Rebecca sighed while continuing her words.
"What do you think? Julia! What would Mr.Edwin ask from me as a request?" Rebecca could not think of anything which he could ask.
Julia saw her nervousness and chuckled.
"But I think I knew what he could ask from you!"
"What?" Rebecca asked.
"I think he would ask for you to go on a date with him if he liked you!" Julia's words made Rebecca speechless while her cheeks burned with embarrassment.
"What are you thinking? It's not going to be like that!" Rebecca denied.
Julia arched her brows and crossed her arms around her chest.
"But why?"
"Are you asking why?" Rebecca's forehead is knitted.
"Because there is nothing like that!" She completed her words while Julia smirked teasingly.
"But what? If my guess was right!"
"Julia, please stop this stupid talk! Can you please be serious?" Rebecca started to get angry.
Julia felt that and tried to explain it to her.
"Babes, I'm just guessing. Don't be angry! If it's not like that then the only other option left!' Julia's eyes turned serious.
"And what is that?" Rebecca wanted to know her other assumption.
"Mr.Edwin is going to make you apologize in another way!"
"What do you mean?" Rebecca's brows deepen.
"He will try to make you apologize to him in front of the whole office!" Julia explained.
Rebecca felt her friend's words don't make any great presumptions.
Because after meeting Edwin, she doesn't think he will do something like this. Because if he truly wanted to do this. He can do it today.
At last, she sighed and told Julia to not talk about these things anymore. She is already feeling tired and exhausted to think about him and his invisible request.
Julia understood it and stopped herself to talk more about Edwin.
"Let's freshen up and eat something!" Julia tried to change the topic to make her mood light.
Rebecca nodded and stood up from the couch to go towards her room while Julia sighed.
"What a dumb girl! I can feel Edwin liked her and I hope my first guess turned right!" Julia whispered in a low breath.
As soon as Rebecca returned to her room, she shut the door behind her back and thought about Edwin.
No matter how much she tries to avoid her thoughts. It's turning deep.
On the other side, Edwin's mood was too great, which didn't hide from his parents, who's feeling suspicious and shocked at the same time.
Yes, their son smiling is not a big deal. But he smiled on his own without saying any single words to them after coming back home and now at the dining table, his mind lost in thoughts of Rebecca and their office interaction. Even without noticing his parents who are looking at him while sitting on their chairs.
They tried to break the silence.
Mr.Hutson coughed to attract his son's attention.
Edwin came back to his senses and looked at his father.
"Edwin, so how was your first day in the office as a president?" He asked.
Mrs.Hutson also looks at her son with curious stares.
"Good!" He answers in one word.
Mr.Hutson looked at his wife while she also looked at him with the same meaningful stares before they landed their eyes on their son.
"Son, What about your staff? Do you meet everyone?" This time Mrs.Hutson tried to get deep.
Edwin's brows arched.
"Yes, mom! I met everyone and they are good at their work!" He announced in a bland tone.
Both parents looked at each other and sighed. They wanted to know about Rebecca. How was their first interaction but their son's calm expression, they don't feel like asking more in one go, or else he would doubt them.
