2 months Later,

“Mom, where is Edwin, I can not see him anywhere.” Rebecca comes out from her bedroom to ask Mrs Hutson.

“Dear, why did you come here, you can ring the bell which is placed beside your bed. It’s not good to walk for too long. You should be tired now, let’s sit on the couch.” Rebecca who was now used to Mrs Hutson’s motherly protective manner only could smile and agreed with her to sit, “Sorry, Mom to make you concerned but I did not find Edwin when I awake from my afternoon sleep, I thought, he is today free and will not go to the office.”

Mrs Hutson warmly smiled, “Rebecca, you are right, he is still in the house and not leaving you.”

“Then where is he?” Rebecca blinked.

Mrs Hutson's expression turned excited as she mischievously smiled and suggested, “Why don’t you look around the kitchen? I think you demanded something from him before your sleep.” There was a big playful smile playing on her lips when she mentioned that.

Rebecca's face was surprised, “Mom, I wish to eat homemade cake.”

Mrs Hutson could not help but chuckled, “Now I guess, why was my son asking for the recipe even though I wanted to help him, he denied it. Because he wants to make the cake for you by himself.”

“What?” Her eyes became enlarged.

“Don’t worry, he knows cooking. He had stayed alone abroad. So, he knew regular dishes but I don’t know about cake, If he made that before…” She wanted to laugh but hide it.

“I need to go check on him.” Rebecca tried to stand from the couch while Mrs Hutson helped her.

“Please go slowly, you have to be alert, It’s your 8 months.”

She looked at her belly which is so big now and heavy. Doctor told her on the last arrival, The baby is now in the right position and super healthy. She can go from normal delivery If there is no struggle.

Her lips smiled as she creased her belly and responded with a bright smile, “I’ll Mom, Don’t worry.”

Mrs Hutson nodded and Rebecca slowly walked to the kitchen from where the delicious aroma came out.

Rebecca somehow feels her craving come out again. She happily entered the kitchen and gently called Edwin’s name, “Edwin”

Edwin, who is almost done with backing and taking out a cake from the microwave, turned and looked at Rebecca.

He soon smiled and put the cake on the Kitchen slab, to walk towards her.

“Babe, why did you come here? You should rest on your bed.” He held her hand and got her to walk inside.

“Mom told me, you are baking for me. So, I come to see you and I can also smell the cake.” She explained.

He grinned, “So, you want to taste it?”

She could not help but nod solely like a little child.

Edwin chuckled, “Alright, come with me.”

Edwin took her to the cake side and cut one piece he gave her, “It’s still hot.”

Rebecca, “Still, love to try.”

Edwin sighed and shook his head.

“Wow, It's delicious, Edwin!” She excitedly complimented him after eating the piece.

“Glad, you like it.”

‘No, I loved it. I can eat it whole, I guess.” She laughed.

“Still, you shared at least a little bit with me.” He teasingly said.

“I will think about it.'' She tried to look serious and at last, both laughed out together.

“Let’s go outside and sit with Mom.” She added.

“Okay, you go, I’m coming with cake.”

“Got it”

She turned to walk out when she felt a sudden pain in her belly, “Urgh!”

Hearing that, Edwin instantly ran to her and held her hand, “Rebecca? What happened? Are you feeling pain?” He touched her belly.

“Yeah, a little bit.” She slowly mumbled as she was in pain.

Edwin's expression turned serious, “Let’s go to the doctor.”

“No, I will be fine,” Rebecca answered.

“No argument Rebecca, you are in pain and I don’t want anything to go wrong.”

She understood and agreed. As pain, today looks different from the simple pain which she felt many times.

In The Clinic

“Don’t worry. It's a false miscall. She's in her mid-8th month of pregnancy. She will feel pain normally which looks like she wants delivery, but it doesn't mean she needs the delivery. However, you made a good choice to come.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Edwin thanked her and took Rebecca back home.

In the car, Rebecca told him to relax as she is fine. Edwin nodded and breathed finally in relief.

In the house, Mrs Hutson also was a little worried, so when they came she shared the doctor's word. She becomes relaxed, “Thank god, everything is good. You both must be tired go and take a rest.”

Edwina took Rebecca to her room and after she lay on the bed, he creased her head tenderly, “You should sleep a little bit.”

“What about you?” She asked.

“I’m fine.”

She nodded.

After she fell asleep he touched her belly and mumbled, “Baby, you shouldn't be so naughty, today you sacred me and mom.” He smiled slightly and at last kissed her head and her belly before going out.

Rebecca opened her eyes and looked at the closing door and then at her belly, “Baby, dad was so worried that’s why he told you that. So, from now, let’s be in good health.” She smiled warmly as her hand caressed her belly.
