Chapter 233: Chapter 233

With time, Rebecca adjusted to Hutson Mansion while her father and Julia come as promised every weekend to meet her and do dinner together.

Just like every day, Edwin takes Rebecca on a walk and then he stays with her until she falls asleep. But at the midnight, he heard a knock at his door. He frowned and a half awaken open the door, only to realise Rebecca was standing in front of him.

“Rebecca, what happened? Why are you awake in the middle night? Do you feel unwell anyway?” He held her hand and asked worriedly. He checks on her belly to see If she feels anyhow pain or anything.

However, Rebecca shook her head at his words, “It’s not the case, Edwin.”

He felt confused and tried to guess, “Then If you need anything? Or any chance, you can not fall asleep?”

Hearing his words, Rebecca bit her lower lips lightly with awkwardness and at last, she held his shirt corner and said embarrassedly looking at the ground, “Edwin…”

Her action made him concerned and he touch her shoulders.

“What is the matter, Looked at me, Rebecca.”

Hearing his serious voice, she raised her head and meet his eyes.

“Now tell me, what’s the matter?”

Rebecca chewed her lips and next moment opened her mouth to speak, “Edwin, I want Ice-cream.”

His expression turned surprised, “What?”

“I… I need Ice Cream”

She felt a little nervous to disturb his sleep but what she can do, she went to the kitchen but there is no ice cream and she left no choice but to disturb his sleep.

“Ice Cream? Are you craving it?” He asked curiously.

“Yes,” Her cheeks turned redder.

Edwin sighed and hugged her. She felt stunned and blinked her eyes in confusion.

“Thank god, It’s not something bad. Let’s go outside and eat your ice cream.”

“Really?” Her voice lit up to hear that.

Edwin chuckled, “Really, now let’s go!”

He held her hand and walk out.

He drive the car himself without disturbing any driver and went to one of the cafes which could be open late at night.

They both take seats and Rebecca eats her ice cream just like a child.

“Is it tasty?” Edwin's brows arched as he looked at her cute face eating that.

“Yes, it is. Do you want to try?” She forwarded the ice cream scoop with an excited expression.

Edwin chuckled and happily eat from her spoon and complimented, “It’s truly tasty.”

“I told you” Rebecca was all busy eating while he all focused on watching her carrying a silent smile.

He glanced at her cute appearance which now turned more cutter with time. The big belly suit her appearance so much that he could help but fell for his woman again and again without being tired of adoring her.

However, his smiles were gone when he noticed, Rebecca’s smile was lost and her eyes suddenly turned wet.

“Babes…” He went to her side getting up from his seat, “What happened? Why are you suddenly crying?” He felt tensed and tried to wipe her tears.

Rebecca looked at him, put the ice cream bowl on the table and next go hugged him tightly, edwin was a little stunned but soon wrapped his arms around her with a console. “What happened? Why are you suddenly crying?”

She stopped sobbing and answered with a struggling voice, “Edwin, in the past… Whenever I was craving late-night food, I got nervous for some reason. As I can not disturb Julia every time for my reason. And whenever, I went anyhow, I saw many couples who come together to eat and share time.”

“Somehow that made me upset. I felt lonely out there but today when I was craving, I know, I have you beside me. I can feel that joy which I saw in others. Today I’m here eating my craving food, with my baby’s dad. It’s a simple thing but still made me felt go emotional and let me cry at last.”

His eyes got softer, “Oh Rebecca…” he wrapped his arms around her tightly and take a long breath, “I’m sorry to come late. I can only imagine, how hard that time was for you. But I promise, from now on, you will have me beside you to fulfil every wish you wish in your life. I’ll never leave your side.”

Rebecca closed her eyes and let the tears roll, “I know, and I’m also happy.”

Hearing that, he leaned and kissed her forehead and then move to kiss her lips which she welcomed happily and kissed him back with the same love.

After driving home, Edwin sent Rebecca to her room and went his after that. However, both did not fall asleep. They still thinking about the kiss, they shared in the ice cream cafe.

They both turned on their bed until It almost turning 2 pm and Edwin could not take anymore.

“That’s enough. I want to see her once again.” Edwin could not think any longer and got up from his bed to go to her room.

He stood on her door in pause for a long time before he finally made up his mind to hesitantly knocked on it.

“I will just see her and go.”

“Yeah, that’s right.” He mumbled to himself when the next go door opened and Rebecca showed up, “Edwin?”

He felt awkward, “You did not fall asleep?” He struggled to do conversation.

Rebecca also felt the heaviness of the atmosphere and awkwardly said, “Yes, I guess, so…”

“I also could not sleep.” Edwin explained as he meet her eyes, “So, can we sleep together?”

Rebecca's eyes winded while Edwin felt he go far with words and instantly tried to rectify, “I mean only to sleep. It's just that we both can not fall asleep.”

He knew, his words did not create any meaning, still, he wanted to repaint his past words. However, Rebecca was all silent looking at him.

Edwin thought, she don’t want, so at last further added, “I think, I go crazy. Just forget my words, Let’s just sleep.” Saying that he turned to walk away. But before he could take steps, Rebecca held his hand, “Edwin” her voice was soft while her breath is heavier could be sensed by her tone.

He slowly turned and meet her gorgeous eyes which looked at him with shyness, “You can come in.”

He froze on his spot as his eyes enlarged with all focused on her, “What did you just say?”

Rebecca’s neck turned red, “You can come inside.”

He finally understand and asked with a husky voice, as his eyes darted to her red face, “Are you sure?” He less the distance between them.

Rebecca flinched at his sudden closeness but soon without responding, she moved front and get closer boldly to him.

He felt surprised at her action when next second, she raised her toes to get on his height and kiss on his lips lightly to answer at last, “Yes.”

Edwin's eyes darkened, he paused and stared at her face, “Rebecca…”

She held his hand and raised it to go on her cheek, “Edwin, you don’t need to surpass your desire anymore.”

His pupils constantly watch her every light action and reaction with doubt and hesitation, if he heard right.

However, after hearing her last sentence, without thinking any longer, he moved closer and sealed her lips with his just like a wild hungry man. But between the kiss, he did not forget to be sure of her safety. He protectively held her waist for support and walking inside, he closed the door behind his back.

Rebecca welcome his warm embrace and assured him, He can have her.
