“Rebecca, I don’t want to leave.” Edwin holds Rebecca’s hand as he is standing in front of his car with the driver, ready to go to the neighbouring city for his urgent meeting and to see the land where he will build the new biggest mall ever. He needs to land a deal.

“Edwin, I’m fine. You should just concentrate on your work.” She softly smiled. As she understands his stress and nervousness.

“But what If you need me or you have pain?” His expression was serious which made Rebecca sigh helplessly.

“Edwin, There are still two weeks left for my delivery and you are going for only three days. Nothing is going to happen and don’t forget mom and dad are here with me for 24 hours. Even today Julia and Dad are also coming because of the weekend.” She tried to show him, she is good and surrounded by many people and that nothing could go wrong.

“But still I…”

Before Edwin could say anything, his mother and dad who were standing beside them finally opened their mouths.

“Edwin, Rebecca is right. We are here. We will take care of our daughter. You just go and do your job as planned and anyway there are still fifteen days left for her delivery date. So, don’t think too much.” Mrs Hutson explained with a warm smile as she could feel her son’s tense face.

After her, Mr Hutson also added, “So, Rebecca and your mother are right. You should go calmly and focus on your work. We can handle it here.”

Edwin finally nodded even though there was still hesitation, “I know.”

Rebecca can see his worry did not go still completely so, she squeezed his hand to get his attention on her, “Edwin”

Edwin looked in her direction, “I’m fine. The baby is fine. We will both wait for you, so just go with a smile.”

Hearing her at last he sighed and let go of his worry to change with a warm smile, “I got it. You all don’t need to say more words. I’ll just try to finish work as soon as possible and come back.”

“That would be good,” Rebecca responds and smiles brightly.

Third-Day

“Mom, I was thinking of going to the airport to welcome him, what do you think?” She asked for suggestions.

Mrs Hutson looked at her side and responded, “Dear, I don’t think you should go. Nowadays even walking makes you tired and the airport is too far from our mansion. Doing a journey in your condition is not good. I hope you understand. I’m sorry, Dear,” She felt bad to deny her.

However, Rebecca understood her mother’s worry and smiled, “It’s fine, Mom. we can welcome him home.”

Mrs Hutson got an idea to hear that and immediately said, “Yeah, you are right, Let’s call servants to decorate the home and do a small get-together within the family. You should call your Dad and Julia also.”

“That would be great, mom.” Rebecca smiled brightly.

“Alright, enough with talking, Now it’s your time to rest. Let’s go to your room.” Mrs Hutson stood from the couch to help her stand.

“Mom, you should go and explain to the servants the work. I can go myself from here.”

“Are you sure?” Mrs Hutson asked.

“Yes, Mom. I can manage.” Hearing her, Mrs Hutson sweetly smiles, “Great, then you go and take a rest when Edwin comes back, I’ll come by myself to take you.”

“Alright, Mom.”

Rebecca went back to her room and adjusted in bed.

“Baby, your mom feels tired, let’s sleep until your daddy is back.” she sweetly spoke and looked at her belly while rubbing on it.

A few moments later, she fell asleep, Mrs Hutson came to check on her and found her sleeping, she warmly smiled and went back to her work.

It is soon going to be evening when she finally awakens from her sleep with deep pain coming from her lower part.

“Ah!” she opened her eyes feeling uncomfortable.

“W… What’s happening?” She slowly tried to get up but the pain turned more unbearable, “Ahh!” She bit her lower lips and looked at her small table side which was attached to the bed, she saw a bell.

“I need to call, mom!” Her voice shattered as her body started to sweat out.

She somehow slid to the table side and pushed the bell button but it’s not work. She is tired again bearing the pain, but it still does not work.

“Ahhh!” She touched her belly in pain with every second she could not help but shout with unbearable pain coming from down.

At last, she decided to go by herself to find someone to take her to the hospital. She knew It was time now.

“I need to stand up…” holding her belly, she tried to slowly get off the bed but as soon as her legs touched the floor, her strength was lost to the pain and she sat on the floor heavily which increased her pain, “Ahh!”

The tears almost came out because of pain when she tried to shout, “Mom!”

“Mom!” even shouting gives her so much burden.

She glanced at the bed with heavy eyes as she took a long deep breath feeling unwell.

“Argh!” She tried to raise her hand and take the phone from her bed. The phone was not far away, so she instantly called Mrs Hutson but she did not know Mrs Hutson was in the garden with all the servants decorating that place after the inner place was done and that’s why no one knew she was in an emergency.

“Please, pick up the call, Mom…” The pain almost tore her strength.

Mrs Hutson, who is in the middle of work, hears a ringtone and walks to the phone which she puts on the garden sitting table.

However, before she walked, it stopped ringing, Mrs Hutson did not think and left the phone without attending.

On the other side, Rebecca could not help but phone Edwin at last, she saw time and knew he should be on the way.

As soon as she dialled the number, he picked it up, “Hello, Babes.” Edwin's sweet voice comes from the other side.

Rebecca's tears fell, “E… Edwin…”

He felt her uncommon breath while talking and was immediately alert, “What happened Rebecca? Are you alright, baby?”

Rebecca, who felt she would lose consciousness with pain, held herself and spoke out in a heavy voice, “Edwin, I… I’m in p… pain…”

“What?” He was shocked.

“Please call Mom to come to my room… The bell…it’s not working…Ahhhh!” The phone fell from her hand because of pain.

Edwin was scared, ‘Rebecca!”

Sam and Mr Hutson were startled by his sudden shout.

Mr Hutson worriedly asked, “Son, what happened to Rebecca?”

Edwin who could hear her shouting in pain, he dead seriously looked at his dad, “Dad, we need to go home fast. Rebecca is in pain and please call Mom and inform her to go to her room.”

Mr Hutson's brows wrinkled in worry, “What?”

“Dad, faster!”

Mr Hutson could sense his fear and instantly call Mrs Hutson.

Sam, who also heard it, instantly sped up the car.

By luck, Mrs Hutson just picked up the call to check and seeing her husband's name pop up, she immediately picked up, “Hello honey.”

“Honey! Go to Rebecca’s room. She is in pain! She just called Edwin!”

“What?” Her body was shaken to hear that and she immediately ran to Rebecca’s room. The servant also followed to watch her run.

“Rebecca!” Mrs Hutson was all terrified when she saw Rebecca sitting on the floor.

“Oh my god!” She instantly went to her.

“Mom…” Rebecca was all sweating.

“Oh Dear, I’m sorry. I was not here.”

“Mom…baby is coming out…” She finally could tell her.

“What? Your water breaking?” Her eyes winded.

“How could this happen? We need to run to the hospital.” Mrs Hutson worriedly looked at her.

“You… you wait here. I’m going to ask a servant to come to help me.”

Rebecca nodded.

Mrs Hutson instantly ran and saw a servant coming towards her, "Listen, call the driver to come, Rebecca needs to go to the hospital right now!”

“Yes, mam!” One servant sped away to inform the driver while the other went to Rebecca’s room with Mrs Hutson to bring her out.

“Dear, you will be fine. We are going to the hospital. Just take a deep breath.” Mrs Hutson said after making her seat in the car with the help of two servants.

The driver instantly started the engine to go to the hospital.

Rebecca, who was in the middle of pain, thought about Edwin and asked, “Mom… Edwin…”

Mrs Hutson wiped her sweat, ‘I told him to come directly to the hospital. They will be there doing all the formalities, so when you arrive delivery could be done without any wait.”

Rebecca closed her eyes as the pain was getting abnormal, “Ahhh!”

At the hospital’s door, Edwin was waiting for her and when the car stopped, Edwin ran fast to open the car door.

“Rebecca!” His eyes filled with worry and stress.

“Edwin…” Rebecca looked at his side.

“Mom, I’ll take her out,” Edwin explained and the next moment, he entered the car and held her in his arms he rushed to the hospital inside. Everything was ready by Sam. As soon as Edwin entered, the doctor took them to the delivery ward.

After making her lie on the bed, Edwin told the doctor he wanted to stay there during delivery time. The doctor allowed it.

After changing clothes, delivery started and he held her hand, “Rebecca, I’m here, baby. So, please don’t be scared.”

Rebecca’s tears rolled down from her corners as she nodded. She felt comfort to see him beside her finally.

After a long hour of struggle, the doctor finally speaks what they want to hear.

“Ms Rebecca! Please push! The baby's head is almost there!” Rebecca was in pain like a fish without water. She tried to push again and again. She was all tired.

“You can do baby, Just push harder!” Edwin who was beside her, giving her all strength.

Outside, Julia, and Mr Wilson also come and join Sam, Mr and Mrs Hutson.

“The head is here! Ms Rebecca! Last big push!” Rebecca gets her all strength and gives a final push and the whole operation theatre is filled with a baby-crying voice.

Edwin's eyes got tears while Rebecca also could not help but cried out of joy.

The doctor looked at the baby and shouted next, “Congratulations, It’s a baby boy!”

“A Boy?” Edwin's eyes winded as his lips curled up with mixed emotion and he looked at Rebecca with another level of excitement, “Rebecca, It’s a boy! Did you hear it? It’s a boy! We finally became parents!” He excitedly shouted and let his tears come out, “Thank you, babes, for giving me this moment. Thank you so much, It’s all your hard work!” He kissed her forehead, and she smiled and let her tears roll from the corners.

“Mr and Mrs Hutson, Please see your baby.” The nurse walks to show the baby.

Edwin and Rebecca both looked at their small tiny baby with adoration, who looked at them with his big brown eyes which were just like his mother while the facial features were all gone to his dad, Edwin.

They both smiled emotionally.

“Can we touch him right now?” Edwin asked.

“Yes you can,” Nurse smiled.

Edwin felt so emotional. His tears nonstop came out which he wiped out and touched his baby’s tender cheeks with a finger so slowly to think he would hurt him. Rebecca, seeing that fragile look coming from Edwin, smiled warmly.

“Now, the baby needs to contact her mother. Let him have Mom’s warmth.” Saying that the nurse put the baby on her middle chest.

Rebecca gently touched the baby’s head and felt every single minute of pain was worth it for her to see her child right now.

Now, she could say how it feels to be a mother. There is no pure love then mother and child. She can even die for this moment If she needs to.

Edwin softly looked at his small family which just completed in front of his eyes. He promised to adore this moment his whole life.

Discharge Day

‘Mom, Where is Edwin?” Rebecca asked as she looked at the complete family except him. It was a discharging day and she could not believe he was not there. To see her and the baby. After the delivery day, He was all busy and she was a little concerned about where he was all time.

“I’m sorry dear, he was coming but there was urgent work from the office. He will meet you directly at home after attending his work.”

Rebecca understood and sighed, “I see.”

Julia walked to her, ‘Babes, He will come. Just cheer up.”

Sam added, “Julia is right, Rebecca.”

Rebecca nodded to hear them, ‘I know, Let’s go home.”

Everyone smiled.

When the car stopped in front of the Hutson mansion, she saw the whole garden was decorated with lights, flowers and balloons.

“Mom…” Before she could ask, Mrs Hutson said, “Let’s go. It's a baby arrival party.”

“What? But when did you all plan that?” she blinked her eyes.

Julia, who is in the front seat with Sam in the driver seat, smiled, “It’s just planned. Now, let’s see the complete decoration.”

Rebecca smiled and looked at her baby who was on his mother’s lap sleeping calmly.

“Let’s go.” Mrs Hutson opened the car door for her, Rebecca nodded and came out with the baby. From another car, Edwin and Rececca’s Father get off.

“Let’s go straight. There is more surprise.” Julia excitedly added.

“More surprised?” Rebecca's stunned.

“Yes, now, no more questions, let’s go.”

Rebecca glanced at her family but all just smiling, she felt curious and nodded.

After walking a little longer, she saw the grass was covered with red carpet on it and there were red flowers. She followed the carpet with her gaze and soon saw Edwin standing in the middle with a Roses bouquet. He is wearing a black tuxedo and looks devilish handsome like always.

Her cheeks flush with his appearance. Julia came beside her and whispered, “From here, you should go yourself.”

Saying that she takes the baby from her hand.

Rebecca gives the baby to her and walks to him slowly. She met his eyes, who looked at her with a big charming smile.

When she walked beside him, she asked, “Edwin what is all about? Isn't it about the baby's welcome party? And did you not go out for a meeting?” She was all confused and stunned.

However, Edwin, without any response, just kneels on his one leg in front of her.

She pressed her palm above her mouth in shock, “Edwin, what are you doing?”

The next moment, she got her answer by herself, when he took out the ring from his pocket.

“Ring?” Her eyes got wet. She knew what this meant. She looked at Edwin with all numb and surprised look.

“Yes. Rebecca. It’s a ring. In the last few days. I was all done preparing for today. I want to confess to you in front of our family. I want to tell you how much I love you and our baby, and I can not wait any longer but make you my wife.”

Her tears fell as her lips curled up with emotional feelings.

“So, I want to ask you a question and hope to hear ‘Yes’...”

Her eyes got softer.

“Rebbecca Wilson, I, Edwin Hutson, love you so much and I want you to spend your whole life with me. Be my wedded wife. So, will you accept my love and this marriage proposal?”

“Edwin…” Her tears fell off.

“May I?” He forwarded his hand to get her.

“Say Yes! Say Yes!” Julia shouted from afar and so did her whole family, “Come On, Rebecca!”

She got tears as she looked at them who all got emotional at this moment. Rebecca could see her father was in tears while Mr and Mrs Hutsona were also wiping their tears. Julia was all smiling while Sam was also clapping and cheering. She could see, and everyone could feel this moment with her.

“Rebecca, I’m waiting.”

Hearing Edwin’s voice, she turned and looked in his direction.

“So, what’s your answer?” He looked at her with confident eyes.

She blushed and smiled brightly before nodding and giving her hand on his, “It’s of course ‘Yes’ Edwin.”

Hearing her, he brightly smiled, ‘So may I?”

She happily nodded, “Yes.”

His eyes turned softer, as he put the ring on her finger the next moment and kissed on her above hand.

Everyone clapped with happy tears in their eyes.

Edwin stands and opens his arm for her, “I love you, Rebecca and I promise, I’ll love you my whole life, till my death. We can only be separated by death.”

Rebecca got emotional and immediately hugged him, “I love you too Edwin. I love you with my whole heart and soul…”

“Thank you Edwin for coming into my life…Thank you for making it beautiful… Thank you for never giving up on me…" She let her joyful tears fill her eyes.

Hearing her, he responded with a hearty smile, "And I want to thank you for giving me that chance."

They raised their heads and looked at each other with full of love eyes. Edwin touched her cheeks and leaned on the next moment to kiss her lips. Rebecca smiled and happily welcomed him to kiss back tenderly.

Rebecca and Edwin take an alone walk in the garden. They both were holding hands and smiled looking at each other and sometimes stars.

“Rebecca, we never discuss our baby’s name. Do you think of a name for our son?”

Rebecca's lips curled up as she nodded, “Yes”

Edwin's brows arched with curiosity, “And you never told me, that’s hurt, babe.” He tried to make a pout which made her laugh and gently respond, “It’s not like that.”

“Okay, so, tell me the name.”

“LIAN” She happily looked at him to see his reaction.

“Lian…” Edwin tried to take his son’s name from his lips and soon his smile turned bigger, “I loved the name.”

“It suited our son very well.”

Rebecca stopped and met his eyes, “I hope our son got every happiness which he deserves.”

Edwin's eyes turned softer as he leaned and pressed his head against her, “He will, He will…”

Next moment, he moved closer and kissed on her lips. Rebecca opened her mouth and they both lost in the most romantic kiss in the middle of star night.

After kissing they both looked into each other's eyes and smiled warmly.

“I love you, Rebecca… Thank you for coming in my life with our son” His soft voice echoed her.

Rebecca wrapped her arms around his neck and spoke with full of love, ‘I love you too, Edwina and thank you for giving me our precious son.”

They both at the end smiled and hugged each other with promise to live together from now on with sweet happiness, with their small family, their son, the world which finally they could call their own home.
