Chapter 232: Chapter 232

Doctor Clinic

“Doctor, how is the baby?” Edwin asked the doctor while Rebecca just joined him after the checkup.

“The baby is healthy.” The doctor’s words made both of them smile.

“However, the baby’s position is not right for now.”

Hearing that Rebecca worriedly asked while Edwin’s expression also turned tense.

“Doctor, what do you mean by position?”

The doctor looked at their tense expression and immediately explained.

“I mean to say, I think normal delivery is not possible in your case. We need to do a C-Section.”

“What?” Edwin's forehead knitted.

However, Rebecca breathed in relief, “I’m ready for anything. I just need my baby to be safe.”

Doctor smiled lightly, “You are brave, Ms Rebecca.”

Edwin's concerned eyes turned tender, as he held her hand the next moment, “Are you sure? It’s a big surgery.”

Rebecca could sense his worry and smiled warmly, “Edwin, I am always ready for C- Section. Anyway, normal delivery is not possible. So, don’t worry.”

Her words made him realise, How a woman turned so powerful when they carry a baby. He felt like, laughing at men who think women are not strong.

“Alright.” At last, he could only agree with her assurance.

.

.

“Ms Rebecca, you need to take better care of your meal. I checked your report and found weight loss from last time which is not good for you or your baby. It’s a minor thing but you still need to remember to eat the right level of nutritional food.”

“Got It, Doctor, I’ll remember that.” Rebecca thinly smiled.

“Good” Doctor responded and looked at Edwin's side.

“Mr Edwin, you need to make sure she takes her vitamins on time, exercises and eats properly.”

“Additionally, you need to make sure she goes out for a small walk. The little scratches are good for her delivery time. There is still a long time for her delivery and a chance that baby will change his position and be on right.”

Hearing that Edwin instantly nodded, “I got it, Doctor, thank you.”

“That’s good, you both can go now.” The doctor responded with a small smile.

Edwin and Rebecca thanking her last time, come out from the chamber.

When they sat in the car, Edwin thought about his mother's words and tried to persuade Rebecca.

“Rebecca, how about you live with us? In my house.” Edwin's eyes got serious.

Rebecca understood his worry and held his hand, “Edwin, I know, Hearing about surgery, you become tense, but It’s normal nowadays and I’m good with my current environment.”

“But I want you to stay there. Can you at least think about it?” Rebecca’s eyes turned softer to hear him and nodded lightly, “Okay”

Edwin breathed out in relief to know, at least she will give thought to it and finally dropped her home.

Next Day

Mrs Hutson came and tried to persuade her.

“Rebecca dear, I know, you like staying here. But think more carefully, you need extra care in your heavy pregnancy and Julia can not stay 24 hours looking after you, as she also gets her work.”

Rebecca felt she was saying right, “I understand, Mom. Edwin also shared the same thought yesterday with me. But I need to talk with Julia.”

“Yes, Sure. I think she will not have any issues.”

“Did you both talk about me?” Julia’s voice attracts their attention.

“Julia?” Rebecca was curious as it was still afternoon and she should be in the office.

“Yeah, I'm coming back because I need to pack my things.”

“Things?” Rebecca blinked her eyes in confusion.

“Actually, I need to go on a business trip. I tried to deny them, but I was the main person who made the project. So, I just came back home to talk about that and unknowingly heard Aunt's offer.”

“So, what do you think?” Rebecca asked, “Should I go?”

Julia smiled and held her hand, “Babes, You should go and live with them. In this heavy pregnancy, I felt guilty when I could not stay with you. So, If Aunt would always be beside you, I feel relief and know you are safe and happy.”

“And most importantly, this will make it easy for Edwin also not to come this far, to see you. For me, I can come at weekends to meet you and anyway there is a phone, So don’t worry.”

Rebecca’s eyes turned tender and her lip curled up softly, “If all of you want this, then I don’t want to disagree anymore.”

Mrs Hutson stood from the couch, “That’s great, then you should come with me from today.”

“What?” Rebecca was a little taken back to see Mrs Hutson being suddenly too energetic to take her with her.

However, Julia also supported her, “Aunt is right, Let’s pack both of our luggage and go out together.”

Rebecca sighed for a second and then could not help but chuckled, “Alright, Let’s do that.”

“Great!” Mrs Hutson's face lit up while Julia also grinned with happiness.

Hutson Mansion

“Welcome Daughter” Mr Hutson happily welcomed her as soon as she walked to the house entrance with the home butler and other servants.

“Thank you, dad,” Rebecca responded with a warm smile.

She called them Mom and Dad after their lots of requests.

“I’m so happy that you finally accepted our request. Thank you, dear.” Mr Hutson side-hugged her, which she openly accepted.

“Dear, let me show you your room. I already told the servant to arrange the room for you in advance and hope you will like it.” Mrs Hutson excitedly expressed her.

Rebecca smiled lightly and nodded.

They both went to their room direction, leaving Mr Hutson in the living area.

When they were walking through the corridor, Mrs Hutson happily talked about her and suddenly she told Rebecca that she already talked to her dad in advance before coming her home and her dad is happy to send her to their house as he feel, that place is more relieved as there are more people to check on her. Rebecca felt relieved to hear this news.

“Thank you, Mom, let me know. Or else, I was so concerned, about how Dad would react to my sudden decision.”

“It’s alright, dear. Your Dad all wants your happiness and anyway one day in the future you will shift. So, why not early and better.”

Rebecca's expression filled with shyness as she nodded.

The way everything is going on between her and Edwin, she can feel their future together and bright.

Mrs Hutson opened the room door, “This is your room from now on.”

Rebecca looked around the room and saw a few photos of cute babies.

“This is…” She was a little surprised to see that.

“I just thought to add a cute baby photo, so, you can smile more brightly.” Mrs Hutson’s words made her chuckle and she thanked her, “Thank you, Mom. The room and decoration are beautiful.”

“I’m glad, you like it.” She touched her shoulder, “One more thing Rebecca, The next room belongs to Edwin, Let’s see that also.”

Rebecca thought for a moment and then nodded, “Alright.”

Mrs Hutson opened the door and both of them entered.

The room looked quite simple and elegant with navy blue paint in front while the three walls were in light sky colour. The interior design matched the shades. She saw there were a few photos on one of the walls which contained a complete family.

“What do you think about his room?” Mrs Hutson asked in curiosity.

“It’s beautiful and calming.” Rebecca’s words made her smile.

“If you want to look around, let’s go inside.”

“No, Mom,” Rebecca denied.

“Why?” Edwin’s mom asked.

“I think I already saw enough. Let’s just go back to my room.” She shyly answered.

Mrs Hutson smiled, “Alright. Let’s go now. You should be tired. Just rest for a while.”

Rebecca nodded.

“One more thing, Rebecca,” She turned all ears.

“Edwin, don’t know about your arrival, so, let’s surprise him.”

Rebecca nodded, “Alright, Mom.”

“Good” Mrs Hutson nodded with a satisfied smile while Rebecca thought about how Edwin would react to seeing her.

Dinner Time

“Wow, mom, You made my favourite dish. It smells incredible.”

Edwin, who was sitting for dinner as soon as he got back from the office, felt nice to see his favourite dish on the table.

“Glad you like it, but it’s not made by me.” Mrs Hutson glanced at her husband and playfully smiled at her son.

“Then must it be made by a servant?” He guessed.

‘Sorry Somn, but you are still wrong.” Mrs Hutson faking sighed.

Edwin frowned and looked at the food and then at his parents' side who both looked suspicious because of their smiles.

“Then who made the dish?”

“Bad Son, I thought, you will soon realise who made the dish. But I was wrong.” This time she shook her head in a little disappointment.

Edwin, who could not understand anything, frowned at last, “Mom, I truly don’t understand.”

Mrs Hutson stood from her seat, “That’s enough to think, I’ll just show you the person who made this.”

Saying that she walked to one of the rooms.

Edwin frowned, “It’s not the kitchen, Mom.”

“I know, that person is not there.” She responded.

Edwin felt curious and looked at his dad's side, “Dad, who is really the person.”

Mr Hutson smiled, “You better now see with your eyes.”

Edwin at last loses and waits for the person to show up with his mom.

“The person is here.” Mrs Hutson came out with Rebecca beside her.

Edwin's eyes winded and he soon raised from his seat to go in front of her, “Rebecca, You”

“Surprise!” Mrs Hutson excitedly shouted.

“Mom, What is Rebecca doing here at this late night?”

Rebecca was all shy when Mrs Hutson replied, “I finally made my daughter come with me to live here from now on.”

“What?” Edwin's eyes winded with shocking news and he looked at Rebecca, “Is that true?”

Rebecca nodded. Edwin's straight lips suddenly turned wider as he could not help but soon hugged her forgetting his mother's presence, “Oh my god! Thank you for coming, Rebecca, I’m so happy. Now we can live together.”

Both parents could not help but smile to see their son excited while Rebecca was all blushing to know Mom and Dad looking at them.

They are all done with their dinner just like a happy family. After that, Edwin takes Rebecca for a walk in the garden. They sat on the bench and admired the stars together.

“Do you like the place?” Edwin asked as his hand wrapped around her shoulder in a gesture to be comfortable beside him.

Rebecca smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder, “Yes, very much.”

“I’m so happy that finally, I can see you and our baby every day.”

Rebecca looked at his side face and smiled, “We too”

Edwin chuckled and touched her belly, “Rebecca, I want our baby to get everything which he/she deserves. I’ll try my best to make you and our baby happy.”

She closed her eyes and softly responded, “I know.”

Edwin looked at the stars and breathed in a sigh deeply, “I hope time always stays like this.”

They both stay not for long outside as she needs rest. He takes her to her room.

In coming front of the door, Edwin bid bye. But Rebecca knew he didn't want to leave, so she offered to let him stay until she fell asleep.

Edwin agreed and they both entered. He was a little taken aback when she asked him to get inside but Rebecca no longer wanted to surpass their feelings, so she happily accepted his desire.

She lay on the bed while he was just sitting beside her. They stay together until she falls asleep.

After she fell asleep, he kissed her forehead and then her bump softly, “Good night, my world.”

Midnight

In the study room,

“Edwin, you are still up?” Mr Hutson saw the study room light on and when he entered, he found Edwin sitting on his chair and looking at the photo frame of Rebecca.

Edwin put the frame on the table back and looked at his dad, “I’ll just sleep later, Dad. What about you?”

Edwin’s father smiled and walked to his side and took a chair to sit.

“I just wanted to fill my water jar but seeing the study room, light on, come here.” Edwin finally noticed a water jar on the table.

“Then you should go back and rest now.”

Mr Hutson nodded to his words, “I’ll but what happened, why are you looking lost?”

Edwin stood from his chair and went to the window side to look at the sky, “Nothing too deep. I'm just thinking about Rebecca and my future.”

Mr Hutson nodded and asked, “Then what do you plan about you and her?”

Edwin turned and met his dad's eyes, “Dad, I want to propose to her. I want her to be my wife. But I still don’t know If she is ready to commit to me. What If she was scared to hear the wedding thing out of sudden? We are still new in our relationship. Dad, what do you think, is this the right time or I should wait more?”

His dad stood from his chair and walk to him, he touch his shoulder and replied with a generous tone, “Son, In my prospectus, there is no ‘Right Time’ like a word when the person is right for you.”

Edwin understood his father's words, “I understood, Dad. Thank you for answering.”

“I’m glad to hear that. Hope, you will succeed to get my daughter’s ‘Yes’”

Edwin nodded and both of them turned to look at the vast calm clear sky.
