Late at night, Rebecca phoned Edward and thanked him for making so many efforts for her and her dad.

“Thank you, Edward. You don’t know what I got today.” Rebecca softly mumbled while on another side of the phone, Edwin smiled and responded, “I know, Rebecca, how much you always missed your dad. I can see through you when you talk to my parents every time. I can see there is loneliness which can only be filled by your father.”

Rebecca’s lips curled up with a warm expression, as she never thought Edwin noticed that. Yes, that’s true. Whenever she watched Edwin’s parents, she remembered her dad.

“I’ll never forget what you did for me, Edwin.” Her gentle tone, which was filled with love, made his heart skip a bit.

“This is nothing. I can even give my soul to protect you and our baby.”

Rebecca is a little taken aback by his words.

Edwin could guess how her expression should be right now and could not help but smile from corner to corner. He will do everything to give her happiness.

Their love is not about how they were closed from the body but through the soul, and he knew he had made his way to her heart deeply.

“Rebecca…”

“I want to tell you something which you know already.”

“But this time, I know, it’s the right moment. Even If you are not in front of me, I can feel you beside me, so, please listen carefully.”

Rebecca’s eyelashes flickered as she chewed her lips. Her heartbeat turned a little faster, as she could sense what he wanted to say. She knew clearly still, could not help but get a little nervous like a teen.

“I love you, Rebecca.” His tender voice filled with deep feelings, “I love you from my whole heart and this love did not come in just one day but from the beginning when I crossed paths with you in the club for the first time, I know, I was attracted towards you from that the first day, even before knowing your identity. With our child, you are the only woman I can imagine beside me in this life.”

“Edwin…” She took a deep breath, feeling too emotional to speak anything.

“I just want to confess, Rebecca. But you don’t need to answer me the same as I do.”

His words melt her heart.

“Why? Why are you so perfect, Edwin?”

Edwin smiled, “I’m not and you know that more than I do”

Rebecca knew what he was talking about. But it was now past for her. She already left that so long ago.

“You still perfect, Edwin,” she tried to put some pressure on words to make him feel what he was doing for her that no one else could do. Loving someone is a different level and choosing her every single time is another level. The way he always protected her, she didn’t think anyone could do it.

Wilson’s Mansion

Hearing the bell ring, Chole walked to the door and opened it.

“Dad?” Her eyes were winded with stunned to see him suddenly after a long month.

“Oh, Dad! You’re finally back!” She wanted to hug him but he coldly rejected her and asked, “Chole, where is your Mom?”

“Dad, I’ll call her now.” She did not think about the bitter expression and walked inside to call her mom.

A few moments later Mrs Wilson came in hurry with big tears in her eyes.

Mr Wilson looked at both figures and thought he was a fool to think they could change.

“Honey, you are finally back.” She ruined and hugged him, but he did not hug her back and announced, “I’m just coming back to meet Rebecca.”

Hearing that, she broke the hug and looked at him with a frown, “So, you finally meet your unfilial daughter? Do you know what she did with us? Did she tell you Nick was in jail because of her? She sent our son to jail for taking revenge on us. Making a fake proof against him.”

Mr Wilson’s hands turned into a fist to hear her words and realised they were still blaming Rebecca. While the real culprit is their son, “How dare you, still blaming my poor daughter for Nick’s behaviour!”

Chole frowned, “Dad, what do you mean poor? She is the one who made us miserable and brother is now in jail.”

“Chole, you shut up! What do you both think? I don’t know anything about how you all bullied my little girl in my absence and how your brother and my so-called son tried to force himself on his own sister!” He felt disgusted to say that, but it truly happened in his own home and he could not believe that.

“Nick was harassing my daughter for a long time, and she told you both about that. What did you two do? Make my daughter homeless? Are you both even a woman? I hate to ask that!”

Chole and Mrs Wilson’s bodies trembled to see Mr Wilson’s anger like this. He never even shouted at them in his past life, but now he was looking like he wanted to tear them out at this moment.

“Honey… Let me explain… Rebecca lied to you… Nick did not do anything…” She trembled and tried to explain.

However, Mr Wilson stopped her to say anything, pointing his finger at her, “That’s enough! I don’t want to hear anything from you. You both can leave my house right now.”

“What?” Mrs Wilson’s eyes filled with tears.

“Dad!” Chole’s eyes winded to hear that with nervousness.

She held her husband’s hand and begged, “Honey, what do you mean, leaving? It’s our house and I’m your wife. How can you ask me to leave like that?”

Chole also comes beside, “Dad, I’m your daughter. You can not do that to us. Where will we go?”

However, he coldly glanced at them and announced, “I don’t know. Just think yourself.” Saying that he walked inside the house.

“Honey!” Mrs Wilson walked fast and blocked his path.

“We are not leaving. I’m your wife and Chole is your daughter. Don’t you care about us any longer?”

He glared at them and harshly answered, “Did you care about Rebecca when she was forced by Nick? Did you care about her when she was thrown out of this house without any fault? When I was not here. And most importantly, in front of me, you tried to prove she is a characterless woman, do you know? How it felt?”

Mrs Wilson could not take his words any longer and yelled with anger, “So, what I did do that? She is just a bastard! Why would I care about her? I hate her deeply and I wished she had died a long time ago!”

“You!” Mr Wilson raised his hand and slapped her hard to let her fall to the ground. “How dare you curse my daughter in front of me! You are disguised. Now I’ll not let you live here for a moment.” He yelled out and walked towards her at light speed to hold her arm and make her stand.

“Just get out of my life and never show your face again. You all are monsters on the human figure!” Declaring that, he pulled her and walked towards the door.

“Dad!” Chole ran behind to stop him with tears while Mrs Wilson was shocked after being hit by her husband for the first time in her whole life.

He pushed her out the door. Mrs Wilson fell and hit her back on the ground.

“Mom!” Chole ran towards her mom and held her arm with concern. “Mom, are you alright?”

she asked nervously.

Mr Wilson could not watch their crocodile tears any longer and announced, “I’ll send divorce papers and monthly money to both of your accounts, so you never need to show your face for any discussion.”

He held the door gate and met his wife’s eyes, which were all looking at him with hope and tears to not do that. But he knew, ‘If he will not stop them now, he will be sorry more in the future.’

“Just go away and never show your disguised face!” Warning that, he slammed the door over their faces.

“Dad…” Chole was all numb while her mother stood up slowly and called Chole, “Chole, Let’s go.”

Chole looked at her mom, “Mom, but Dad…”

“I told you to stand up! We will never see him again.” Mrs Wilson’s words made her shocked, but at last, she nodded and left with her mom with a broken heart. They knew what they did, Mr Wilson never going to forgive them.
