“Dad, You dId not tell me. If you are not in the city, how did you get to know all this truth?” Rebecca could not help but ask at last to her Dad.

“Dear, It’s all happened thanks to Mr Edwin.” Her Dad smiled in response.

“Edwin?” Her eyes filled with surprise. She is truly confused now. How could he know her Dad? How does her Dad know him? Did they know each other before?

“Dad… How did you know Edwin?”

Her dad's corner lips raised as he responded, “I don’t know him personally If I tell you the truth. But I know he is a tycoon businessman.”

“Then how did you meet him or did he meet you?”

“He called me personally a few days ago and told me, " If I want to know about my daughter’s whereabouts, he can help me as he knows where you are living.”

Rebecca completely paused as she could not believe, he is the one because of him, she met her Dad today.

“As soon as he took your name, I just flew back and met him in his office. He told me, "Who is he and what is your relationship with him?”

Rebecca's body flinched with an unknown daze.

“Dad… I…” She hesitates as she doesn’t know how to explain her situation to Dad when she meets Edwin.

“Dear,”

He held her hand warmly.

“You don’t need to explain anything. Because Edwin already told me a complete story and I can see how much that guy loved my daughter and her unborn child.”

She froze for a moment and then looked at her dad with tears eyes, “You know about that also?”

“Yes” Her Dad nodded warmly.

However, she let her tears roll down her cheeks, “I’m sorry Dad, I know, It’s not a small thing… But I…” Her lips were shaking.

“My child, you don’t need to be ashamed about it. Edwin told me every single thing and at last, I know, you did right. I trust you and I’m glad whatever you choose. I’m proud of you for being strong and staying safe even when you were broken.”

“D… Dad” She hugged him and sobbed.

“My poor child, I know, you suffer so much. But I’m glad you got Edwin as a partner and Julia as a best friend in your life who not only supports you but always stands for you.”

“You are right, dad. Julia is like my sister who helped me when I didn't know what to do any longer after leaving home. While Edwin helped me to fall in love and express my feelings which I was always scared to show. And last but best, my unborn baby… Because of its existence, I can come this further.”

“At first, I was ashamed to be pregnant and decided to even abort the baby. But when I dream of my mom and baby self, I can not help but fall in love with it. I did everything to secure my baby and its future.”

“I know dear, I know, how people treat you if they know you are a single parent without marriage but you know as your Dad, I’m proud of you. I don’t care about other things. For me, all that matters is you and your baby.”

A single tear rolled from her eyes to hear that proud word from her Dad.

“Everything is solved between Uncle and You.” Julia happily hugged Rebecca.

While both father and daughter smiled warmly.

“Julia, thank you, dear, for taking care of Rebecca when she needs someone beside her. You are hers, a true saviour.” Mr Wilson's eyes filled with modesty.

“Uncle, she is my childhood friend. This is something I should do as her friend.” Julia responds with humbleness.

“Still, It’s a great deal. You don’t only help her but let her stay with you. You give her home, family and most importantly strength to fight back for her right and make decisions in life without caring about others.”

Rebecca held her hand, “Dad is right, Julia. For me, you are the one who saved me from losing myself.”

“Oh, Dear!”

“Uncle and Rebecca, now please don’t say any more. Thank you for thinking like that. But you shouldn't make me feel like I’m an outsider. I just see you as my soul sister and I know you are thinking the same or doing the same for me. It’s because of you, Sam and I now together, don’t forget that. You also helped me when I was not looking at things right.”

“You both are pure of heart. I hope you both get your own happiness in your life.” Mr Wilson’s words made both friends smile.

Mr Wilson walked to her daughter.

“Dear, Please come with me home, I come to take you, your home back.”

“Dad, I know, you want to take me with you. But I can not live there any longer.” She calmly responds as looked at her dad’s expression which lose its smile.

“But why not? It’s your home, Dear. You don’t need to care about it any longer your step family. I’ll take care of them.”

“Dad, It’s not matter. That house only brings me bad and sad memories of my past self. I’m just happy here with Julia.”

Mr Wilson sighed as he understood and did not force her, “Alright, If this your decision, I’ll not force you. But I hope, I can come to meet you here.”

“Dad…” Rebecca went closer and hugged her dad.

“Thank you for understanding me.”

“It’s alright. I all need to see smiling you.” He touched her head.

After breaking from a hug, her dad announced to go back home. Rebecca warmly bid bye to her dad. She was just too happy today, as she feels everything getting good with time.
