“Julia, can’t you stay longer? I want us to go for a small walk.” Sam held her hand and try to request her.

“Sam, I wished…I can stay…” She humbly respond, “But when I was in the washroom, I just found out Rebecca’s miscalls in my phone which I missed because of its being silence.” She explained to him.

“Then why don’t you just call her? I think, she just wanted to know when you are going back home. As it's almost midnight.” Sam glanced at his wristwatch and added those words.

However, Julia shakes her head in denial, “I don’t think she call me to know that exactly as she advised me in the first place to enjoy my date without worrying about her and spend quality time with you.”

His brows deepened, “What about calling her?”

“I tried many times to call her already but there is no response. All I can hear is ringing. I need to go home. I do not feel good about this sudden situation.”

He also agreed with her now, after listening to her words. If it's not urgent she will never call her friend on the date night and then not pick up the call.

It’s not too late also that she could sleep too deeply to not attend the call after many times try.

“Julia, now, I also feel we need to go and check on ourselves.” His face turned serious.

“Thank you, for understanding this.” She smiled generously.

“Don’t say that. She’s not only your friend but she’s like a small sister to me also.” His eyes turned serious which made the corner of her lips curl up and soon both of them entered his car to drive toward her building.

“Julia, you try to reach her through call. And I need to call Boss.”

“Boss?” She looked at him.

“Yes, I need to do that. Even if, it can be false worry and she is just falling asleep without knowing your call. I can not hide this from Boss.” He explained to her briefly.

While Julia nodded her head in understanding, “I understand Sam. You just call him and I’ll try to call Rebecca again and if she did not pick up, I’ll call in my neighbor.”

“Alright.” He nods and instantly dialed his boss's number when she tried to reach Rebecca.

“Please pick up the call, Babe!” Her forehead lines showed when she heard the ring of a call, without attending.

Sam looked at her stressed expression and instantly held her hand to squeeze it lightly to give her some strength while he was on call and waiting for Edwin to pick up.

Edwin fell asleep on the couch without even noticing the whole time until his phone ringing tone broke his peaceful sleep and awakened him from it to rub his eyes with one hand, while another reached to take the phone from the front table. However, it stops ringing as soon as he takes that.

He was only to first notice the time on the screen and stood from the couch stunned. He missed his flight. As his flight is only half an hour later and he needs to at least arrive there one hour before for checking and other procedure.

“Damn it!” He felt anger.

‘How could I sleep this much?” He mumbled to himself when again his phone rang and he glanced at the name.

“Sam?” His brows arched for a second but then he thought, he is calling him for a flight thing.

He slides the answer button and pressed the phone against his ear.

“Hello,”

“Hello Boss, I need to tell you something.” Sam instantly responds from another side.

Edwin still thought he wanted to tell him about the flight.

“I know, I missed the flight. You don’t need to…”

“Boss, it’s not about that but Ms. Rebecca.” Edwin who was calm until now, his eyes winded, his expression turned up and down.

“Rebecca, what do you mean?” His tone turned impatience.

“Actually, she calls Julia but because of silence, Julia did not attend the call on time…And when she noticed her phone, she tries to call her back. However, she can not reach her no matter how many times she called her. All she hears ring.”

“What?” Edwin’s grip tightened on the phone. As his tone shook to feel worried for Rebecca and the baby.

“Now, we are going to the home back to check on her. Boss, don’t worry. There could be many reasons for her to not pick up. And we are already on our reach.” Sam felt concerned about this situation. Because things do not look simple, but he cannot say anything without going and looking at the situation.

“Sam, when she called Julia?” He coldly questioned.

Sam knew, he was angry right now, so he shortly replied, “It has almost been an hour now.”

Hearing that his expression scowled, “Sam, I’m coming there. You asked Julia to call in her neighbor and a security guard to get in contact with Rebecca.”

“Yes, Boss” gets responds, he cut the phone and walks at light speed to go inside his car, and drives faster to her home road direction.

“Rebecca, I’m coming. Please wait for me.” He whispered out with shaken voice. Feeling scared at this situation.

“Did you reach anyone?” Sam glanced at Julia and asked whose face was now filled with nervousness to see, she cannot contact her security guard or neighbor's aunt. And she got no more numbers also.

She shakes her head as her tears are almost ready to fall, “I don’t know but no one is picking up their calls and I’m now worried as hell, Sam! I feel scared!”

“Julia…” He could not console her anymore, as he also feels worried just like her and driving at a fast speed to arrive soon.

“Sam, I hope, she is fine.” Her voice filled with nervousness.

Sam looked at her and respond, “Don’t worry. We are almost there.”

He got no words to say, so he tried to all do is drive faster without any long speeches When he got a call from Edwin again.

He pressed the answer button, “Hello, Boss,”

“Did Julia get in contact with anyone?” Edwin directly asked as he noticed he got miscall from Rebecca too at the same time when Julia got the call. He felt angry with himself at first but then again drive faster as he got no time to even blame himself at this moment. He needs to first check on Rebecca.

“Not for now, but she’s trying while we are almost there.” Hearing that he got two different feelings in go. First, not getting contact means something is not right, while second, Sam and Julia are almost there to look after his Rebecca.

“Alright, I’m almost halfway.” He reported and cut the call.

“Rebecca please be safe. I’m coming…please be safe…” He mumbled between his breath.
