Chapter 195: Chapter 195

"Julia,"

"I'm truly disappointed in you."

Rebecca meets her eyes and shows her dissatisfied expression.

"Wait! What?"

"But why?" Julia's expression changed after hearing her statement.

"Julia, Why are you trying to act happy in front of me? When it's clear in your face that you are upset and miss your parents as they do!"

She shrugs.

"Don't you plan to meet them at the end of this month? Then why not now? Why don't you just go and meet them even if it's only for one day if it makes them happy?"

Julia pressed her lips tightly as her body leaned a little forward with a helpless sigh.

"I'm sorry to act in front of you. But…" She paused for a second.

"But I just don't want to tell you the truth." She accepted her thoughts in front of her.

"And why that?" Rebecca's brows deepen.

"Because I know you will ask me to leave you here…And I don't want to do that when you need me…" Her expression turned unwavering.

"But I can go myself. It's not that important." Rebecca tried to clarify.

However, Julia soon denied it.

"I disagree with you on this."

"It's important. You already missed the last appointment. Now we can't. And the doctor personally told you to bring someone with you then how could I just leave you here alone?" Her stares filled with determination that she will not leave her.

Rebecca felt touched to hear her words and felt beloved for how concerned she is for her and her unborn baby.

She slowly smiled with soft stares and tried to explain again, "I understand your words, Julia…And I am truly grateful to you for thinking of this deeply for me and my baby…"

"But I still want to tell you that I can manage alone, I swear!"

"So…please don't upset Uncle and Aunt. If you don't go and meet them I'll feel guilty about it and blame myself for it."

"No Rebecca, it's not like that!" Julia held her hand and asserted that.

"Julia, if you want me to be happy please agree to meet them. They miss you so much and don't see you for a long time. It's their right."

Julia inhaled a deep breath and closed her eyes for a minute before exhaling it.

After being quiet, she looked at her and responded, "I know, I know that it's their right. But what about you? You are also my responsibility and I can't let you go alone."

Hearing her, Rebecca argued, "But your parents are also your responsibility. They are first Julia."

Julia's fingertips run on her forehead.

"Why are you turning stubborn?" She felt complicated about her decision.

"Julia, I can go to the doctor's place alone. It's not a big deal. I'll manage. It's not like this is the first time I'm going alone. And the doctor just needs to give some advice and instructions. I'll just remember that."

Regardless, even after her words, Julia could not be hundred percent sure about it.

"No, I'm still not convinced to leave you."

This time Rebecca sighed, feeling her friend is too determined, and helplessly asked her to find the solution for both of them, "Then how would you finally convince? Because if you don't go then I'll also not go for a check-up."

Julia frowned at her words, "Are you trying to threaten me?"

To which Rebecca nodded, "Yes, I got no choice."

Julia rolled her eyes, feeling Rebecca just stubborn like her.

She thought for a second in silence.

"Now, what are you thinking?" Rebecca curiously asked and hoped she would agree with her.

However, Julia's words made her blink her eyes with doubt.

"I have an idea." Julia announced.

"What idea?" She asked, feeling curious.

While Julia looked at her with a big smirk and responded, "I got an idea that not only solves my issue but yours also."

"And what is that?" Rebecca inquired.

However, Julia shook her head in denial not to tell her first and declared, "I'll tell you, but before that, you need to promise. You will agree to whatever the idea is."

She felt suspicious of her words, "Julia, why are you turning so secretive suddenly?"

"I'll tell you the secret but just promise me first. It's not that hard. Isn't it?" Julia tried to persuade her.

"Yeah, it's not that hard. But I…" She felt hesitant to promise without knowing the idea.

"What? Are you not going to promise?" Julia looked at her with a straight face.

Rebecca doesn't want to make her feel angry.

"Rebecca, you just need to promise me. Only then I can feel relief and can go to meet my parents without any worry."

Hearing her she didn't think more and finally nodded.

"Okay, I agree."

However, Julia didn't feel safe and asked her to shake hands.

Only after that she smiled and thanked her, "Thank you, for promising me."

"So, now are you going to tell me about the idea?" Rebecca questioned.

To which Julia nodded in agreement, "Yes."

"Then go ahead," Rebecca insisted.

"Well Rebecca…"

"Why don't you take Edwin with you for this doctor's appointment? He is also a parent."

"What?" Rebecca blinked her eyes with stunned.

"Yes, he is the father of your baby. Invite him to go with you." Julia looked at her with puppy eyes.

Rebecca's lips were tightly pressed with little hesitation. She knew Julia is right and it's not like she didn't think that but she was still awkward and felt it would be too fast to take him with her. Or asked him to join without knowing if he want to go or not…
