He looked through the glass to see inside and found her lying on the bed again while her eyes were closed.

Her skin looks pale while tears come out from the corners.

Edwin wanted to go inside and hug her to give her strength. He wanted to tell her how worried he felt watching her last night in the library unconscious…

How scared he was all the time to send her to hospital. How he almost cried from the fear of losing her and the baby. How many bad and negative thoughts captured his mind to break him apart…

But he can't say that to her. He got no right. He can not do that.

His palm clenched to make the first as he felt angry and helpless at this moment. The woman he likes, the woman he loved, he can't even console her after what she faced out there.

But is standing here going to help him or her out? Then the answer is 'No'. He knew it.

So, after thinking carefully, he dodges all his negative thoughts and holds the doorknob to unlock the door.

Even she feels upset or gets angry to watch him. He still wants to go there and talk to her.

He wanted to ask for a second chance again. Even he needs to kneel in front of her.

Julia appeared with the doctor and saw Edwin still standing outside. She felt bad for him and looked at him with concern.

Edwin heard a walking sound and turned around to see the doctor coming with Julia.

He held back himself and pulled back his hand to open the door.

"Morning, Mr.Edwin." Doctor smiled.

"Morning," Edwin responded while the doctor entered the ward after that. Julia followed him inside as she looked at Edwin through her corner eyes and felt disappointed.

Rebecca opened her eyes to feel someone walk inside and wipe her tears back.

The doctor walked toward her bed. While Julia stood beside her.

"Good morning, Ms.Rebecca. I'm your doctor. So, how are you feeling?" The doctor flashed a polite smile at the end of his words.

"Better." She responded.

While Edwin looked at her from the glass. Without following them inside.

"Good, now let me check you." He used a stethoscope to check on her.

Rebecca looked at the door side but found no one there. She thought Edwin would come with a doctor to see her. But now somehow she feels upset to not see him.

Edwin, who got a call, moved to the other side as it was a phone call from his mother, "Hello, Mom." Edwin felt warm to receive calls from his mother after a long time.

"I heard from Sam that Rebecca was admitted to the hospital."

Edwin went silent for a long second before responding, "Yes, she fainted but now she's fine."

"That's good. I hope you can take care of her now and get forgiveness from her."

Hearing his mom's words he thought about Rebecca's smiling face, "Yes, I'm trying…"

"Good…" He can hear his mother's relief breath.

"Mom, can you forgive me?" Edwin asked.

His mother paused before responding, "Son, don't think we are happy without you. But what you did, as a woman I can't take that. Because before being your mom, I'm a woman and you didn't know how much a woman suffered when she carried a child without a father. I hope you will get her forgiveness to get your mom back."

"I'll mom." Edwin's eyes got red.

While Mrs.Hutson's voice was almost shaken from the other side. She's got tears.

"I…I should leave you now. Hope you take care of her and yourself also." Saying this she cut the call.

Edwin pulled the phone screen from his ears and looked at the black screen with deep pain.

"Honey, I can't see our son broken like this." Mrs.Hutson hugged her husband.

"Same for me, darling. But we need to be strict. What he did to the runway from his responsibility it's not a small thing!" Me. Hutson responded.

"I hope Rebecca forgives him and gives him a second chance to prove himself." Mrs. Hutson added while Mr.Hutson replied, "Me too…"

"Everything is fine." After checking Rebecca's health doctor confirmed that.

Julia squeezed Rebecca's shoulder lightly, feeling happy.

While Rebecca nodded to the doctor and flashes a small smile at her friend.

"Doctor, can she go home then?" Julia inquiries.

"Yes. She had no reason to stay here. But yes, she should avoid doing heavy work and not take the stress. For home, she can go now." Doctors made both of them the nod.

"Thank you, doctor. I'll remember that." Rebecca thanked him.

"Good to hear that." He nodded and added, "I'll ask the nurse to bring the discharge paper. You just need to sign it."

"Alright."

The doctor looked at his wristwatch and said, "Now, I should leave. The next patient is waiting for me."

"Okay, doctor." Rebecca and Julia nodded while he turned and left the ward.

"I saw you staring at the door when the doctor checked on you. Are you looking for Edwin?" Julia's sudden question made Rebecca pause for a second.

She wanted to deny her words at first but her heart didn't let her do that and finally, she nodded to her, "Yes. I just thought he would come with you."

Julia felt glad to hear her, at least she accepted she was waiting for him to come.

"Yes, he is still outside and I already notified him he can meet you. But he just approached the door and stood outside without entering. I can see how confused he was when he was standing at the door as I and the doctor entered the ward."

Rebecca pressed her lips tightly as her hands clenched on the blanket. Do her eyes lash trembling like she sensed what was wrong with him? Why is he not entering?

Whenever they met, they did argue while she looked at him with complete disappointment and anger. He just stays far to not stress her or make her feel angry or upset to look at him. She is the one her own reason to make him stay far from him.

This is what he asked from him and this is what he is trying to do. But why now it made her feel bad and upset when he is just following her wish.
