Chapter 165: Chapter 165

"What?"

"But why?"

"I mean…why does she need to do that?" Sam stared at Julia and inquiries related to Rebecca working even today.

Julia sighed, "She's stubborn."

"What do you mean?" Sam raised brows.

"She wanted to help the library owner last time before leaving the job. His health is not well. She told me." Sam understood and nodded.

"Yeah, it's good. She wanted to help. But I don't know how the boss is going to react to hearing this news…" Sam sighed helplessly.

"She will come back. She promised to come back before sunset." Julia added.

"Then I hoped before the Boss asked me about her. She's already home. Or Boss will surely go by himself to get her back." Sam didn't hide this fact from Julia.

"It's not only your boss, I don't even let her work more than that. She should be done back before it turns into darkness." Sam chuckled and thought. Julia and Edwin both were super protective when it came to Rebecca.

'Ms. Rebecca is truly lucky!'

"Hey, what are you thinking?" Julia taps his shoulder.

"Huh?"

"Nothing important. I just feel she is lucky to have you as her friend and lover as my boss."

Julia's corner lips raised to hear him.

Sam glanced at her smile and could not help but smile at his own happiness.

"So…" Julia's word got his attention.

"I think I should leave now. The breakfast break is almost over…" She looked at Sam.

Sam nodded, "Yeah, you should."

Julia stood from her chair while her lips were always smiling.

Sam also stood from his chair.

"When Rebecca comes back home. I'll inform you."

"Yeah, okay." Sam nodded.

Julia turned and started walking. When Sam called her name.

Julia stopped mid-way and turned to look at his side.

Sam took a long breath before walking toward her.

Julia silently watched him approaching her. As she felt a little curious about why he suddenly stopped her.

"Julia, I want to ask something." He rubbed his back neck, awkwardly smiling.

Julia could feel there was nervousness in his voice.

"Yes, what do you want to ask?" Julia tucked her strands behind her ears.

"Are you free this Sunday?" Julia looked at him with surprised eyes.

"Actually, I searched…a great restaurant in the northern city where food is too delicious. If you are not…I mean not so busy then how about…we…we… go there together this weekend…"

Sam felt too shy and awkward at the same time to speak those words.

While Julia was still a little taken aback to hear him suddenly asking for a date.

Sam looked at her shocked expression and felt he just asked too fast.

'Did she be angry? Why does it feel like that? Should I change the topic before she rejects me?'

'God I should wait a little longer!'

He thought about all this and finally spoke out, "There is still a long time before a weekend comes. So, if you want time. You can take it and then answer."

However, hearing his words Julia instantly shook her head in denial.

"No, you don't need to wait for my answer."

'Is she going to reject me this fast? Oh God!',

'Please at least take 24 hours, Julia! You are making me feel so embarrassed that I failed to win your heart even after spending so much time.'

Sam's mind is filled with different thoughts and he finally blurted out, "It's alright Julia. I understand. You don't need to say that."

Julia's brows arched to hear him.

"But I still haven't answered."

"Yeah, but I know the answer." Sam sighed feeling lost.

Julia confusedly looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"I know, you are going to reject me again."

Julia blinked her eyes in disbelief as she chuckled the next moment.

Sam frowned to watch her smiling.

"Yes, you can laugh. You rejected me twice."

"And how do you think that?" Julia crossed her arms and teasingly smiled. However, Sam didn't get her joke and said, "Didn't you say, I don't need to wait."

"Yes, you don't need to." Julia playfully smiled.

"Then, isn't this rejection?" Sam asserted.

"No," Julia answered.

"What?" Sam's eyes enlarged with disbelief.

"B…But how?" Sam questioned her.

At this moment Julia felt he is too cute like this.

"Yes, I said, you don't need to wait…But it doesn't mean I'm going to reject you. However, its real meaning is that I can answer you right now." Julia smiled shyly.

Sam finally understood her words and could not help but chuckle in his own foolishness.

"Oh, God!"

Julia smiled to watch his expression.

"Sorry, Julia. I'm a big fool to not let you complete your words." His nervous smile made Julia blush.

"So, can you answer now?" He met her eyes and asked softly.

Julia bit her lips lightly feeling her heartbeat turned faster than usual. While the same for Sam, he is hell nervous to get her answer. But the way she speaks to him. He felt this time he got the 'Yes'.

And soon she nodded to him in agreement. "My answer is 'Yes'. I'm free that day."

Sam all white teeth flashed in one go as he could not help himself but hugged her tightly for a second and then thanked her for accepting his proposal to go out on a date.

Julia was all can do is shyly blushed because she never thought her simple yes could make him feel this great. He almost surprised her with his hug which was sudden but amazing enough.

"Then, let's meet this weekend." Sam asserted with a happy smile.

"There are still a few days to go on weekends." Julia asserted playing with the words.

"Yeah, I know. But I hope it crossed faster." Sam's words made Julia's cheeks redden.

"I…I need to go now. Bye." Julia didn't wait for his response and turned to leave while Sam could not help but chuckle to see her running away after being caught blushing from his words. He already noticed it, as her white cheeks turned rosy with shyness.
