Chapter 138: Chapter 138

"Rebecca, I'll be late today. As I got some extra work to complete. So, please eat your dinner on time. Don't wait for me." Julia explained before taking her purse in her hand and ready to leave for the office.

"Alright, But don't make yourself tired and eat on time," Rebecca responded with a tiny smile.

"Don't worry, I'll." Saying this, Julia bid her bye and walked out of the house.

Rebecca went back to her room and thought about her next step. How many days will she be staying here without work? She needs to find some way to leave Edwin's company and find another suitable job for herself.

Thinking that she went to Julia's room to find a laptop.

She needs to search from now on for a new job. Once she gets something for herself, she will meet Edwin and send a resignation letter.

After making her belief, she opened the laptop and started to list out many small restaurants and businesses where she can work.

Yes, the salary is not good here as now, but at least she can pay something to her friend and save for herself from it.

.

Julia's cab stops in front of the Company. After paying the money, she went directly to the entrance when she noticed someone following her behind.

She first ignored it but when saw a light shadow, she turned only to meet the most intense eyes of Sam.

He was standing just a few steps far from her.

Looking at him, she remembered last night's intense kiss which they shared.

"Julia…" Sam walks towards her. But she stopped him with hesitation, "Sam, stop there."

Sam respected her words and stopped in his way. He doesn't want to make any mistakes again.

Julia felt relieved to see him stop and speak up the next second, "I know, you want to talk about last night's incident with me and my answer too." Her voice turned lower.

Sam almost nodded to her while Julia continued with her words, "So, I agree to have a conversation…"

"Really?" Sam's eyes stared at her in disbelief.

Julia nodded and added, "Yeah, I'm ready. Let's talk after our work ends."

Sam could not help at this moment but smile brightly. He felt excited to hear her. She is ready to talk and this made him feel relieved. And his excited face didn't hide his expression at all about how happy he is.

Julia also noticed his bright eyes and smile and felt an ache in her chest.

"Thank you, Julia, for thinking that… you don't know how much I was worried the whole night after my actions."

Julia retreats her gaze from him and just speaks out in a lower tone, "Let's end the conversation here. I need to check in."

Sam smiled and said, "Yeah, you should. Then see you later."

His smile didn't leave his lips.

While Julia just turned to leave the place.

After searching for jobs for long hours. Rebecca felt tired but watching the name list her tiredness vanished out.

She is glad that she got some listed restaurants, libraries, and small business places where she can work with enough money for maintenance, and pregnancy not going to be an issue there. As the company accepts staff who are pregnant until she is done working with great effort.

Rebecca is ready to do anything for her and her baby's survival.

She started to call one by one every working place's number to know when the interview was going to start. She tried to list all the time and details in the right form.

While she got one interview on the same day as soon as she called. They informed her to come and take the interview. The interview is related to librarian staff.

Hearing that, Rebecca immediately agrees to go there and take the interview.

After cutting the call, she went to change her casual dress to a formal one and this time she made up her mind, to tell the truth about her pregnancy.

She will not lie anymore or hide anymore that she is pregnant.

Making this decision, she packs her qualification files and prays to God one last time before leaving the house.

She wanted to notify Julia that she was trying to find a job but who knew that she would get the interview opportunity the same day? The day she would try to apply.

After walking out of the building she took a cab and went directly to the interview place.

"So, Miss Wilson, we have no issue with your pregnancy as you work with Hutson Group in this condition. It means your work is truly valued." The interviewer smiled as he spoke to Rebecca who still couldn't believe her eyes. She got the job in one night.

"Thank you, Mr. Henry. I'll try my best to work well." Rebecca could not help but smile wider with happiness.

While on the other side the old man in his 60s smiles more dazzlingly and speaks at last, "So, Miss Wilson, can we discuss the salary thing now?"

Rebecca looked at him and nodded.

"Miss Wilson, from next week you can join your work. And by the way, congratulations for passing the interview." The old man smiled and stood from his chair.

"Thank you, Sir. I'll be on time." Rebecca responded politely.

After coming out of the company, Rebecca could not help but feel too grateful to God who never left her side.

"Thank you, God, for giving me another opportunity this fast." She closed her eyes and pulled up both palms together for prayer to God.

"I want to share this good news with Julia. But gosh, she will come late today but not an issue. I'll wait for her to come back." Rebecca murmured to herself with excitement. As she can not imagine she got the job this soon.

Now, she needs to talk to Edwin with a resignation letter. He can't make her stay with the help of office rules anymore.

Making up her mind, she booked a cab to go back home.
