Sam bit his lower lips slightly before making his way to Edwin's table and put the envelope in front of him and slid it on his side slowly.

Edwin's eyes looked at his action and then moved his gaze to look down on the envelope with a big mystery stare before moving back his gaze to Sam.

"What is this, Sam?" He asked directly.

Sam first hesitates but soon answers in a calm tone, "Boss, this is a resignation letter from Miss Rebecca…" Edwin's eyes turned stunned to hear this big news.

"Julia asked me to deliver this to you on behalf of Miss Rebecca."

After completing his words, Sam walk a few steps backward and stood straight.

While Edwin looks down again at the envelope and this time something is holding into his eyes before he reads the small heading on it where 'Resignation' is mentioned. It is his fault for not looking at it the first time.

"You can go back to your work…" Edwin didn't move his gaze from the envelope when he ordered him.

Sam felt curious because he thought that Edwin would turn angry after this news. However, he just calmly ordered him to leave which made him a little too shocked.

Seeing Sam not leaving the cabin even after his order, he moved his gaze back to him and arched his brows.

"What? Do you need to tell me anything more?"

Sam pulled back from his thoughts and answered in halting, "N-No, I'm leaving."

After replying to that he just turned towards the door and got out of his cabin, closing the door behind his back.

Edwin silently watches him go and when he finally gets alone, he slowly moves his hand to take the envelope in his hand.

He first thought to rip it as there is no way he will accept that. But the next moment, Rebecca's face came to his mind and he couldn't find his way to rip it.

What if his action made her upset? This thought also reaps inside his mind.

So, after shaking his many obvious thoughts. He slowly rips the corner side of the envelope and lets the letter fall on his other hand.

He opened the letter and started to read. Where not only does Rebecca mentions about her pregnancy news but also shares details that, as a company contract, she breached the contract. After reading the letter, Edwin covers back the letter and puts it inside the envelope.

He looked at the envelope with sorrowful eyes before putting it back on the table and calling Sam back to his cabin.

He walked toward his table and stood straight before speaking up.

"Yes, Boss. I'm here. As you asked me to come." Sam calmly started the talk.

However, Edwin didn't open his eyes but only moved his lips to answer him.

"Sam, take back this envelope to Miss Julia and told her that we are not accepting her friend's resignation letter." He calmly instructed.

However, Sam could not help but asked, "But boss, what Miss Rebecca come with this letter again?"

This time Edwin opened his eyes and started at Sam.

"Then let her come. We will talk face to face." Edwin's voice turned serious as his surroundings filled with a powerful aura.

Sam stared at his boss for a moment with the same seriousness before finally nodding her head.

"Alright Boss, I'll inform Miss Julia right now about your decision."

Edwin nodded his head lightly while Sam walk out of his cabin with a heavy breath.
