Chapter 134: Chapter 134
"Julia, come let's eat," Rebecca shouts a little loudly to let Julia hear her voice from her room. As she was getting ready to go to the office.
"Yeah, I'm coming. You should take them out on the plate." Julia replied from the room while Rebecca sighed and started to place breakfast on the small dining table.
.
.
"Sorry for the late…" Julia gave a small smile and sat on her chair while Rebecca had already finished her breakfast and waited to give her an envelope.
Julia started to eat up when Rebecca started the conversation with little hesitation.
"Julia."
"Hmm." Julia got busy with her food.
"I need a favor." Rebecca's words made her stop eating and looked at her with a doubtful look.
"What favor?" She asked the next moment.
Rebecca looked down to her lap where the envelope rested the whole time.
She held the envelope in her hand and put it on the table and slid it in front of Julia's plate side.
"Please give this envelope to Sam. He will send this to Edwin." Rebecca requested.
Julia put the spoon back on the plate and held the envelope where the resigned word was mentioned with a big alphabet letter.
Julia already guessed what the letter contained and they also talked about it last time. So, this is not shocking for her but yes, she felt too upset for her best friend.
"So, finally…you made up your mind?" Julia asked as she put back the envelope and looked at Rebecca with a calm expression.
Rebecca looked at her back and nodded before mumbling a word, "Yes."
Julia nodded and said, "I see."
Hearing such a quiet response from her, Rebecca felt Julia was angry with her for not talking about it before making a last decision.
She tried to explain to her later.
"I'm sorry Julia if you are angry anyway. But I just…"
"Rebecca…" Julia touched her hand and stopped her.
Rebecca stared at her while Julia gave a small smile and added, "I know…I know very well. So, you don't need to say anything. And I also don't want you to work there. We both can work together to find a new job for you…The better one with a good environment and good people…"
Rebecca's eyes turned moist as she finally weakly smiled with hope and thanked her, "Thank you, Julia."
Julia closed her eyes for a second to show her assurance.
Rebecca felt too light after talking with Julia about the letter. But Julia wanted to be sure about her decision. So, she continued to talk for a longer time and inquired.
"Rebecca, I know. You are doing all this to stay away from Edwin. But are you sure? You can do it…I mean you started liking him and now…"
Rebecca shrugged off to hear her.
"No, Julia. It's already over between us even before starting."
Julia felt her words and nodded.
"Alright, then I'll make sure. Edwin got your letter."
Rebecca nodded and gave a fake small smile in return.

OFFICE
"Julia, you text me to meet here. What happened?" Sam looked at her with a calm expression and waited for her to answer.
While Julia on the other side, still hesitated to talk to him normally without any awkwardness after their last interaction in the exact place.
"Mr.Sam, I…I just want to send this resignation letter to you..." She forwarded the envelope that she carries in her hand.
Sam felt stunned hearing her statement and looked down to see the envelope in her hand with a widened stare as he blurted out with a panicked voice.
"Resignation letter?"
He could not hide his anxious voice.
However, Julia just replied in a normal tone.
"Yes, please pass it to Mr.Edwin as soon as possible." She forwarded her hand more while Sam's hand clenched for a second before he finally took it with a hesitant feeling.
He got everything wrong thinking that Julia is the one who is leaving the office and this sudden news made him panic.
He doesn't understand why suddenly Julia wanted to leave work.
Have things gotten so bad between them that she wanted to resign now because of him? However, didn't last night she told him that she understood his situation in the first place. Then why? Why now she suddenly wants to leave him and this work?
What just happened?
When his mind filled with a thousand thoughts Julia felt confused to see him out of space.
"Mr.Sam, are you alright?" She could not help but ask with little doubt.
Hearing her, he pulled back to reality and stared at her with little halt before finally replying, "Yeah, I'm alright."
Julia nodded to hear him but soon he added the next moment, "But what happens to you, Ms.Julia?"
Julia's face frowned.
"What do you mean? What happened to me?"
Sam couldn't help but feel a little frustrated and raised a letter.
"I'm talking about your resignation letter."
Julia's brows arched.
"Why do you want to leave? I know, you are angry with me for hiding the truth but you can't just give me this big punishment. You can't leave like that. I can't approve of that."
Julia felt dumb to hear his words and soon rectify him before he could say more to her.
"Mr.Sam, I don't know what the hell is wrong with your mind. But let me clarify to you, that this letter…does not belong to me…but Rebecca…"
Sam's lips sealed tightly to hearing Julia's last sentence.
Because one side it made him glad that Julia is not leaving but on the other side Rebecca's resignation letter going to make things worse between his boss and Rebecca.
He doesn't know how to react to this but at last, he asked, "Is this her last decision?"
Julia raised her brows and replied, "Yes, She can't work anymore here. After knowing the truth. And I hope Mr.Edwin will make a wise decision to approve her resignation. To let her go and live a better life."
Her words turned into mockery. While Sam could only listen to her until last.
After saying her words, she leaves him alone where Sam looks at the envelope sometimes and sometimes Julia's back which soon vanishes from his vision. It means she already left.
