Chapter 133: Chapter 133

As soon as Sam's name pops up on Julia's screen. She instantly pressed the button to read out his message and when she got informed that Edwin finally left. She sighed in relief.

"Thank God. He left. I should tell Rebecca about him."

After thinking about that, she went to Rebecca's room which doesn't lock, so she instantly entered her room and checked on her where she could see Rebecca standing in front of her window. Julia guessed Rebecca already watched Edwin gone.

She sighed deeply before making a walk toward her and standing beside her.

Rebecca didn't turn to look who entered her room as she knew only Julia was there with her.

When they stand together.

Rebecca first spoke.

"Do you want to say something, Julia?" Her voice was low and calm.

Julia looked at her side view and then moved to gaze at the sky.

"Yes, I just came to inform you that Edwin has already been sent home by Sam."

Rebecca nodded.

While Julia continued, "I thought you watched him gone."

Rebecca's eyelashes flicked for a minute before she denied her words.

"No. I didn't watch him go. But yes, when I finally stand here. He is no more in front of my sight and that's a relief."

Rebecca's words turned a little rough but Julia, her friend, suddenly felt she got all things wrong.

Rebecca still loved Edwin or else she didn't stand here to look after him while Edwin clearly loved her friend or else why did he come today in that condition to talk to her.

He is a rich and powerful man. If he wants he can use any other ways to get her friend but he tried to apologise and tried to talk to her on his own. It reflects that his love is generous but the timing got wrong for both of them.

"Rebecca…"

"Hmm."

"Do you hate Edwin?" Julia tried to search for her answer from her friend's expression.

While Rebecca's hand clenched on the window sill and she stared at the moon with a sorrowful gaze before finally answering her truthfully, "No."

"I just don't wish to see him again."

Julia doesn't understand how to take her statement but all she replied, "I understand."

They both stood there silently for a long minute before Julia bid her good night and left her room.

Rebecca watched her go and then she took a seat on her bed.

She looked at her abdomen and touched it with her hand as she whispered at last with tears, "Baby, Mama is truly sorry to snatch your dad from you, sorry that you can never meet him in your life when you come out to this world. I can never tell you who your father truly is, even now I know his identity…"

Her tears turned deep as her heart filled with sadness.

Julia watched and listened to everything from behind the door as it was not completely locked and she didn't leave in the first place to check on her if she was going to rest or not. But what she heard made her heart ache for Rebecca. Any woman could feel her sadness and the deep meaning behind words.

Early In The Morning

The sun's rays coming from the huge window made Edwin open his eyes with a big headache. He tried to stare around but his vision still blurred out after sleeping so he rubbed his eyes gently with his hand and finally looked around with clear eyes. When he found himself on his new bed. His face suddenly scowled.

No one knew about this place except his family and Sam.

Thinking about Sam he remembers he is the one who got him out of Rebecca's place.

Reckoning that he finally understands, he is the one who takes him here. But how? He didn't inform him, he lived here for now.

Something got inside his head the next moment and he thought to ask Sam directly after he got back to the office. However, before that, he needed to handle this headache which was getting worse.

With a frustrated face, he got out of bed and checked on his teenage room with narrow eyes.

Even though he lived here with his parents during his childhood.

He felt this home is still new for him to live here alone without his parents.

Last night going to Rebecca's apartment was worth it to him. At least he could finally watch her before leaving.

"You already woke up?" Julia rubbed her eyes and looked at Rebecca who was busy cooking breakfast in the early morning before their usual time.

Hearing Julia's voice, Rebecca lowers the high flame of the gas and turns to look at Julia while greeting her next moment, "Morning Julia, I just woke up too soon. So, I thought of cooking something."

Julia knew Rebecca didn't sleep the whole night but didn't say anything and just nodded to her with a small smile.

"After cooking, you should rest." She added while Rebecca nodded and smiled back.

"I'll but you should first go and freshen up yourself. You got an office. Don't forget that."

Julia sighed to hear the office.

"Yeah, that is something I hate." She mockingly said out only to make Rebecca smile lightly.

"Julia, don't say that."

However, Julia just rolled her eyes and blurted out, "There is nothing good to say for office."

Rebecca sighed and just watched Julia walk out of the kitchen the next moment.

After preparing breakfast. Rebecca washed her hand and went to her room.

To search for a letter which she wrote last night with her hand and placed in the envelope.

She walked toward a small drawer in the corner and slid out to glance at the envelope resting there.

She thought about Edwin and last night's incident, and soon his last night's longing stares captured her mind once again. However, she closed her eyes and shook all his thoughts from her mind before finally opening her eyes again.

She stared at the envelope for a long moment in silence before finally reaching her hand to get it on her palm.
