Chapter 131: Chapter 131
Rebecca moved towards the window with hectic footsteps to close the window. However when she reached there and forwarded her arms to close the windows. The breeze turned a little heavy as her eyes automatically felt someone's gaze on her, and she knew very well who's eyes those were. This made her feel a burden and too much pressure only to focus on closing the window door because she didn't want to see that person.
But her visions could not help and without any sense moved to peek at the guy who was on the opposite side of the road down staring at her apartment window without blinking his eyes. She finally watched him and when their eyes met something moved inside her chest. Even though he is far from her building. She could see he looks a complete mess with his appearance.
No one can identify him as a rich billionaire. His neat clean suit is no more on him. His shirt is half out from his waist while half-tucked clearly. His hair completely misbehave while his gaze never left her which made her hands grip the window door tightly and she soon adjusted her mind, abruptly moved her eyes from him only to close the windows completely with a hasty bang and slide the curtain after glancing at him last time with the emotionlessness expression.
On the other side, Edwin felt a little light inside his heart to finally watch her after a long time with his bare eyes. He's standing here finally giving him a chance to look at her. Yet it also hurts to realise how much distance suddenly took place between them. And she now dislikes him. But he knew he deserved that. He is a bastard in the past to leave her. But he promises, he will try every bit of trying to make her again trust him and get her forgiveness. For this no matter what he needs to do. He will not make the same mistake again and abandon his love and his child.
"Rebecca, are you alright?" Julia tried to ask out as Rebecca turned silent after she closed the window and didn't move from there.
"Yeah…I'm alright…" She surged for a moment before continuing her words, "But can you please ask Sam to take him from here? I don't want him to be here…"
Julia stared at her friend and then just glanced at the closing curtain.
"Alright. You go and rest in your room. I'll call Sam." Rebecca nodded to her words and just immediately pulled herself to go back to her room without turning at all.
Julia stared at her lonely back for a long minute in silence until it was invisible before she walked towards the window and slid only a little bit to watch Edwin who was now looking a little pale down there.
She closed the curtain and sighed helplessly because she didn't know why but now she felt a little sorry for Edwin also. She saw him like this before. It's not like she forgot what he did to Rebecca. But she just hopes Edwin doesn't do any more ridiculous things to make things worse for him and Rebecca.
"God, please help them both!" She prayed out loud and went to her room to call Sam.
After sitting on the bed, she looked at the phone in her hand where Sam's contact was showing on the screen but her thumb was still a little hesitant to press the call button.
She bit her lower lips and then took a long breath before pressing that button.
She thought he would not pick up her call. But to her surprise, as soon as the call rang only twice, he already answered the call.
"Hello, Julia!" His voice filled with hope and excitement which could be sensed by her also as he continued with his words.
"Thank you for calling me. I want to explain many things to you after seeing you so angry today. Thank you for finally being ready to listen to me and I'm sorry to hide those things from you and Rebecca but I…"
"Sam." Before he could say more. Julia speaks out his name to stop him.
She almost bit her lips to hear his long statement in one go without even taking a breath.
On the other side, Sam felt impatient to be stopped by her midway.
However, soon she spoke up and said, " Sam, you don't need to explain. I know, all you did was work. You have no choice, I finally understand. So, let's talk about our misunderstanding later."
Sam's lips curled up wide to hear her words and for a moment, he couldn't believe she would understand his situation.
"Thank you, Julia, for understanding my circumstances."
Julia could feel the relief in his voice and the same for her.
But she needs to tell him about Edwin now. So, she immediately changes the topic.
"Sam, I need to tell you something. Now listen to me."
Sam felt her seriousness and asked, "Yes, I'm listening?"
Julia continued her words.
"Sam, one hour ago, Mr.Edwin came to our apartment completely drunk."
"What?" Sam felt stunned.
"Yes. He came to talk to Rebecca but I asked him to go back home without telling about his arrival to her. However, he didn't leave and Rebecca finally saw him waiting outside our house and asked me to call you and take him with you."
Sam felt silent for a moment before finally answering her, "Alright, I'll be there soon."
"Okay," Julia replied and cut the call. Only to lie on the bed while her feet are still touching her floor. She sighed deeply as her thoughts filled with Sam's words. While she also thinks about Rebecca's words.
"Should I give Sam a second chance?" She mumbled between her breath softly as her heart sighed with confusion.
She started at the ceiling and blurred out at last with a sigh, "What should you do Julia…? What should you do?"

Rebecca rolled onto her bed sleepless as she couldn't forget his stares before she closed the curtain. The stares filled with emptiness and this made her feel more annoyed. She hoped Julia already talked with Sam. Because the more time goes like that, the more she feels uncomfortable.
In one phrase, she doesn't want anything to do with Edwin after the truth comes out. But his arrival gave her a hard time not picturing him.
