"Rebecca, you should eat something and then go to rest…"

"I know, it's a hard time for you but still you got a baby to feed. So, don't let yourself be so stressed anymore. It's not good for your and baby's health. Just think about that and I'm also here with you. We can face this hard crisis together. Do you understand? Just be strong." Julia held her hand and looked at her with a hopeful small smile.

To give her friend some strength to not shed more tears.

Rebecca understands her words and agrees with her at last. She can't lose herself more for others, there is nothing that can be more important than her baby. She will overcome this hard situation also. She needs to have no option left. She got her baby only and she's not going to get weak anymore.

And soon she wiped her last tears and said, "You are right, Julia. I need to have a strong mind if I want my baby to come into this cruel world."

Julia felt sorry to hear her last statement but still showed an assured smile and positively nodded to her.

"Now, you should eat."

"Just be here and rest, I'll bring food from the kitchen." After informing her, Julia left her room and went directly to the kitchen.

Rebecca weakly stood and walked towards the window to look at the dark sky with hopelessness. She felt a sharp sting inside her chest when she spins the conversation between her and Edwin.

While on the other side, after leaving home, Edwin directly went to the big bar and completely drenched himself in alcohol. Without caring anything. He felt all lost and desperate. He knows he made a mistake… huge mistake…but can't he get one last chance to prove himself. Prove that he is not a bad guy. That he is not just a selfish man.

After finishing almost the last seventh bottle, he got up from his stool with determination to get forgiveness from Rebecca.

He will do everything, whatever she wants but she needs to forgive him because he felt hurt and this made him go crazy.

He can't think of living alone, without his parents, without his love and his baby.

If he did wrong. He will now correct it all. He will ask for forgiveness until she gives that. He will not give up like that.

She can be angry with him but he will try everything to win her heart again and forgive him.

With this determination, he left the bar and got a cab, as he can't drive himself anymore in a drunken state.

The cab stopped in front of her apartment.

He gets off the cab and eyes at the big building with mixed feelings of sorrow.

He didn't know what to do after coming here. So, all he did was stare at the building in chaos and silence without any voice.

He felt it hard to not meet her after arriving here. But he felt even harder to face her right now. He was afraid to get her more upset as soon as she watched him again after their last interaction just a few hours ago.

So, at last, he just stood there with a miserable heart, until the dark sky started fading to show brightness. He was just silently watching the building and all the windows with a little hope to get her to see a face somehow.

However, the bright sun welcomed him with its ray. Rebecca didn't show up, and with an empty heart, he finally left her place.

He didn't go back home but went to his other house which is on the north side of the town.

He finally attends Sam's call also who just wanted to know if he is coming to the office today or not.

"I'll come." Without waiting for Sam's reply, Edwin directly cut the call the next moment.

While Sam stared at a black screen with a helpless sigh. He doesn't know until now what just really happened but the way Edwin ignored his call and left the office yesterday, this is something kind of new and he could guess it's all related to Rebecca.

Last night he tried to call Julia but she didn't pick up and almost ignored his 10th missed call. He needs to talk to her when she comes to the office and learns the whole situation.
