Chapter 125: Chapter 125

Heard a knock on her room. Rebecca got off the bed and went to open the door.

"Morning, Babes." Julia greeted her with a small smile in front of the door. She could see Rebecca's puffy eyes and felt too bad for her friend.

Rebecca stared at her and gave a fake small smile and responded, "Morning."

Only then did she notice that Julia was already ready to go to the office.

"Are you going to the office early?" Rebecca asked.

"Yes, I have some work to complete," Julia answered and she nodded.

Julia knew Rebecca was not going to the office after what happened yesterday. But still, she asked to be assured, "Rebecca, are you coming to the office by any chance?"

Rebecca thought for a moment as her body jerked and she shook her head in denial.

"I don't think I'll go there again." She shrugged the moment the words came out of her mouth.

Julia sighed and said, "I understand babe. You just rest and don't need to cook. I already prepared lunch and for dinner ill bring something."

Rebecca felt touched as she realized Julia is the only one who until now supported her and was trustworthy. Julia now became her home where she could show her every single emotion without fearing getting hurt in return.

"Thank you, Julia. You did so much for me." Her eyes turned moist.

Julia knew Rebecca is one of the kinds who holds her emotions in a bottle because of fear of hurt. And whenever she does a little thing for her, she can't hold but pour her gratitude and this is why she felt Rebecca deserves her care and family love. She will do everything to make her feel assured that she will never hurt her and destroy her trust.

Julia hugged her and replied, "Rebecca, we are soul sisters, you don't need to be formal with me."

Rebecca let her tears roll down while she hugged her back and thanked her again.

Sam was looking through some files in Edwin's cabin when Edwin suddenly opened the door and entered.

Seeing him, Sam immediately walks towards him, dropping the file on the table.

"Good morning, boss."

Edwin just nodded in reply and went to his seat while directly inquiring him without wasting any second, "Sam, Did Julia come to the office today?"

Sam doesn't understand why his boss is suddenly interested in Julia but he shakes his head in denial and adds, "No, Sir. Her duty time is still needed to start half an hour later. She should be in office then." He was not sure if Julia was going to come or not because of the way his boss's expression looked messed up. It means Rebecca's mood is also bad and he doesn't think Julia would come, leaving Rebecca alone. But why is his boss discussing Julia? He doesn't understand.

Is there something more that happens that he can't expect?

"Alright, Just informed her head department to inform me, when she comes to the office and you can go."

"Alright, Boss." Sam nodded and left the cabin.

Edwin took a long breath and relaxed his back head on the chair edge before closing his eyes tiredly. He just wanted to know if Rebecca is fine or not through Julia.

"Boss!"

"She has just entered the office entrance. The security informed me." Sam reported to Edwin.

"Is she coming alone?" In other words, he wanted to know if Rebecca came with her by any chance or not.

Sam now understands why his boss is asking about Julia, he just wanted to know about Rebecca through her.

"No, Boss. She's alone, as I got the report."

Edwin nodded and said, "Alright, then ask her department leader to send her to my cabin immediately."

Sam hesitantly nodded and got back to call her department leader.

After disconnecting the call, he informed Edwin that she was coming.

He asked her to go back to his cabin. Sam silently walked out from there but when he went to the elevator. With a ding sound, the elevator opened and he watched Julia in front of him.

His lips immediately raised to smile but Julia only stared at him with a cold gaze. There is no smile but sneer.

"Morning Julia." He still tried to talk but Julia just moved her gaze and ignored him, walking towards Edwin's cabin.

Sam felt confused about her behavior and something was wrong with her today, he could guess. Now he felt too curious to know what just happened. And if he needs to know. Only Julia could tell him.

However, he can not stop her, as Edwin is waiting for her. He will talk once she comes out.

Thinking that he entered the elevator and pressed the button.

When Julia is just ready to knock on Edwin's cabin, she heard a ding sound to close the elevator sound and she knew Sam just left.

She knocks on the door slowly and waits patiently while Edwin's voice shortly permits her to come.

She silently walked toward his table and stood in front of him.

"Good Morning, Mr.President."

Julia wanted to yell at him for breaking her friend's heart and betraying her. However, she still maintains a professional aura without showing any anger. She knew its office and he is the boss. However, the coldness could be sensed in her voice. No matter how much she tried to hide it. It can't be gone. When she further added, "Are there any orders for me?"

Edwin could sense the anger in her voice. However, he didn't mind it because Julia is the only one who is always true to Rebecca and helped her out until now. Not even he could do that. So, he respects her anger toward him. He hurt her friend and she still tries to look professional. It showed how good-mannered she was.

"Miss Julia, I just want to ask if Rebecca…" He shrugged.

"If she is alright?"

However, his words made Julia burst into anger the next moment. She's wanted to control not to explode her anger in front of her boss but now as he owns asked for it. She is not going to be professional anymore.

"How could you think, Mr. Edwin…She is going to be well after what you did to her?" She turned rude towards him while her words were mock.

Edwin fell silent, as she continued with her harsh words to him, "Mr.Edwin, you are just a big jerk who left my friend when she needed you. You used her and threw her just like a thing. Don't try to look like a sufferer. Your fake concern, my friend doesn't need it. And I warn you as her friend and family. Don't try to get close to her again. You already hurt her so much. Now don't try to hurt her more with your toxic words because if you hurt her again, I'll not going to leave you. No matter how rich you are. You need to face me. I'm not scared of your money power." After pouring out her anger on him, she fell silent for a second only to add at last, "You don't deserve Rebecca. You don't deserve her child. I was wrong to think you are the perfect man for her. But you are just a coward, blind rich asshole! I don't want you to even see you near her again." After saying that, she turned to leave as Edwin felt a thousand pieces of broken glass stab his heart.

He knows Julia is right and that's why he doesn't dare to speak any words with grief.

While Julia just turned to leave his cabin with big steps, however, before she could touch the doorknob to open it, Sam, already entered the room opening the door, who heard Julia's last rude sentence about his boss from the outside door and couldn't help but come to the rescue of his boss.

Sam's brows arched with disappointment when he stared at Julia who still didn't lose her angry expression after viewing him.
