Chapter 122: Chapter 122
After leaving the cabin, Rebecca takes the elevator and when it's closed, Rebecca almost loses her all strength and sits on her knees to cover herself with her arms, only to cry out in pain.
She felt too hurt and depressed. Her mind spun all the moments related to Edwin again and again, only to make her vulnerable.
"Why, he did this to me?"
"Why?" She mumbled between her heavy breath feeling lost and shaky all over her body.
She was hurt by many people, even her own family many times but she never felt this broken as she felt today.
She felt an ache in her chest where her heart was supposed to be, but nothing was there she was certain of it, just awareness of a large empty void, so large it threatened her very existence.
She tried to give her trust in him, but he destroyed it. He destroyed her last hope even without letting her know.
When she finally thought to give herself in love a chance even at last it got rejected she would be glad to at least confess to him. But now, everything turned out to be a massive mistake for her. She can't fall for the person who is the one who pushed her to the abyss in the first place.
He left her for his own ego satisfaction. He is just a rich master just like others. He is not different.
After the elevator opens, she immediately holds all the courage to get on her two feet and leave the Hutson building.
When she was at the entrance, the cab stopped in front of her.
"Lady, do you want to go somewhere?" The cab driver asked.
Rebecca didn't raise her eyes to see the driver, she only nodded and spoke the apartment address before entering inside.
She doesn't want to cry in front of the driver, so she maintains her calmness and just looks outside the window with a mortal heart.
On the other side, Edwin is still sitting on the floor and thinking about what he should do now. He runs his finger on his hair with frustration and anger. The anger is for himself. He never thought she was going to hurt this much because of him and they will end up like this.
He looked at the ring with red eyes, which is still on his one hand, and reckoned about her last statement.
'This is your compensation, Never show yourself to me or my baby.'
He felt weak and hopeless to remember that.
His hand covered the ring between his palm tightly with great grief.

After coming home Rebecca locked herself in the room and cried the whole day without going anywhere. Until, In the late evening, Julia comes back home and knocks on her door.
Julia wanted to know if she talked with Edwin or not. But what made her immediately panic was when she heard a slow sobbing sound from inside her room.
She instantly knew something happened to her friend.
"Rebecca, open the door! I'm here." She knocked with a bang and to her relief, Rebecca unlocked the door in one go.
But when Julia glanced at her miserable appearance, puffy red eyes. She bit her lower lips with unrest.
"Rebecca, what happened to you?" She hurriedly inquired while touching her shoulders.
Rebecca stared at her friend with lost eyes as tears slipped from her eyes.
"Rebecca…" Julia's eyes broadened to watch her crying and she immediately hugged her. Before raising a question with concern, " Rebecca, what happened seriously, why are you crying?"
She broke the hug and stared at her with a questioning gaze but Rebecca didn't speak at all and it made her forehead deepened with worry, "Rebecca, Please speak up. Your silence scares me…"
Julia doesn't understand what suddenly happens to her friend. She thought she would hear good news as her friend was going to confess her feelings to Edwin then what happened to change the scenario like this completely opposite.
What did Edwin do to her friend? If he rejected her, she didn't believe Rebecca would be this sad, because she knew Rebecca would never have high hopes for Edwin, like her.
There something more happened and she needed to know from Rebecca, thinking this, she held Rebecca's hand and said in a firm tone, "Let's sit first."
She takes Rebecca to bed and makes her sit while she sits on the ground on her knees in front of her.
"Now tell me what happened?" She asked with a serious tone. While Rebecca stared at her friend's eyes before opening her mouth finally to tell her everything.

In The Midnight
Edwin comes back home with a heavy heart as he doesn't know how to get an apology from Rebecca for his fault. He felt completely desperate. As he lost his soul right now.
On the other side, Mr. Hutson and Mrs.Hutson wait for their son's arrival at the entrance with worried hearts as soon as Sam informs them that Edwin's suddenly left the office without saying anything to anyone and they can't reach him, as he didn't take the car with him. And for the phone, he didn't even attend his call until now.
They both get tense the whole time and try to call their son but no matter how much his phone rings, no one picks up the call on the other side and that makes them deadly worried for their son. Edwin had never done something like this before and that made his parents sense that something was wrong.
"Honey, what should we do? Look, it's already night now. He still has not come back." Mrs. Hutson's voice turned serious with anxiety.
While Mr.Hutson stared at his wife and responded, "Honey, We should call the police because now I'm also getting worried."
Mrs. Hutson agreed with her husband and told him to do that fast.
Mr.Hutson nodded in response and was ready to dial the police number when one of the home staff informed them about Edwin's arrival.
They are both relieved to hear this news and immediately walk towards the door to see Edwin coming towards them.
They check on their son who is perfectly fine but yes, something is wrong with his appearance and expression. He looked lost as his appearance is not neat and clean like always. His hair and collar misbehave while he didn't wear his suit jacket. His shirt is almost wrinkled. While his shoes got dirt and mud on them.
Both parents stared at each other with an enormous shock before moving toward their son.
When on the other side, Edwin didn't even don't notice them. He was lost in his thoughts.
However, his attention is soon broken by his mom who touches his arms and calls his name to get him back to his senses and stares at her with void eyes.
Mrs.Hutson noticed her son's red and puffy
eyes and immediately asked in a concerned tone, "Son, did you cry? What happened to you? And where did you just go without saying anything to anyone? Do you know how worried your dad and I are?"
Edwin finally flinched to hear her words and next later without saying anything just hugged her tightly.
Mrs.Hutson felt concerned to see him like this while Mr.Edwin was also stunned to watch his son like this and almost lost his words to say anything.
