Hearing about Rebecca's arrival from Sam. Edwin ends up a meeting soon before the time.

He took the elevator and went to his cabin in a fast phase. He knew she didn't want him and came just for work here but still, he couldn't give up on her heart. He wanted to talk with her.

However, when he entered the cabin, he found her sitting on the couch in the corner. She's looking down on the marbles out of space.

He instantly felt something was off here. But what? He needs to know. He slowly walked toward the couch and called out her name, "Rebecca…"

Hearing Edwin's voice, her hand clenched the photo which is still in her hand. As she lifted her head slowly only to meet his eyes.

Edwin's forehead lines instantly deepen to see her bloodshot red puffy eyes. His hand turned into a fist as he could see something was wrong here.

Did she cry? But why? He thought in his brain while Rebecca stared at him with a cold gaze. She is staring at the man in front of her with deep bitterness.

There is something more mixed in her vision but no one can read it.

However, her expression didn't hide her outrage.

Edwin felt a little stunned to see her like this and couldn't take her stares long anymore and raised a question the next moment, "Rebecca, is everything alright? Is there something that happened?"

He started to feel impatience as soon as he completed those words. He could see something was wrong with her.

However, what he was not prepared to discern that the ultrasound photo in her hand, which he finally noticed in a single glance, as soon as his eyes moved from her face to her hand. He shortly knew what that was and this hit him hard in his intellect.

His voice turned scratchy as he asked her with a hesitant voice, "R-Rebecca…what do you hold in your hand?"

Rebecca's eyelashes flickered to hear him and soon she stood from the couch only to raise her hand to make him view the ultrasound photo and said, "Are you talking about this?"

Her voice carries anger and mockery.

Edwin didn't lose his calmness and just nodded before raising the hand forward to take that back.

Rebecca silently gives him back the photo but only to ask another question.

"Mr.Edwin, to whom does this picture belong? It can't be yours?" Her words almost made him freeze for a moment but soon he answered her.

"It belonged to my female friend." He answered without looking into her eyes. Seeing his expression and reaction, Rebecca couldn't help but feel hurt and chuckled with sadness.

Edwin's brows arched as he didn't understand why she suddenly looked too sad.

But soon her next words clear that also.

"Mr.Edwin, stop telling lies. Are you still going to lie, when I already saw my own ultrasound photo with you?"

Edwin freezes in his place. He never thought she would recognize the photo and that it was her. However, he still tried to defend her words.

"I don't know, what are you talking about? It was my friend."

Hearing him, Rebecca's eyes widened while all her thoughts turned clear the next moment.

As she replied back to him with a heavy tone, "So you know, I'm pregnant."

Edwin stared at her with a deep gaze.

Rebecca never thought that Edwin already knew about her pregnancy long ago. Or else, even when she confesses about the ultrasound photo belonging to her. Why didn't Edwin look surprised but all he was just trying to tell her was that the photo belonged to someone else. His words are completely different from reality.

On the other side, Edwin finally realized his word mistake and wanted to explain it to her.

"Rebecca, I just…" He wanted to touch her shoulder but Rebecca moved backward and raised her hand to make him stop.

"Don't…"

"Don't come near me, Mr.Edwin." She almost said out with a broken voice.

Edwin felt hurt to see how shockingly she was staring at him. She looked hurt and this made him more guilty right now to hide all the truth from the start.

However, for now, he didn't move as she asked him to do it.

He wanted to explain to her everything from the start right now because if he doesn't clear then everything is going to turn worse. He needs to speak the truth to her, for her and their baby.
