Chapter 110: Chapter 110
At the airport, both of them didn't talk to each other. They are just silently waiting for the announcement.
But as soon as they heard the announcement. They both shortly moved together. Where Edwin is going first, Rebecca follows him behind.
Edwin and Rebecca's seats were beside each other. Because he made the arrangement that way.
However, Edwin sat on his chair but Rebecca was a little hesitant for a moment to sit with him, after hearing his confession last night. It's not like she doesn't want to sit but her heart wanted to stay far away so as not to feel weak.
She felt her heart going to ache to sit together so close, but soon another announcement was made which told every passenger to take their seat. And finally, she put her emotion back into the deep down her chest, and took her seat, beside him.
Edwin felt calm deeply to see her, at least not ignoring their seat with him. However, as the plane started flying. Rebecca's expression turned nervous. She started to feel dizzy. Edwin noticed her and immediately interconnected her hand to his. Giving her little support.
However, Rebecca felt a little stunned by his sudden action and tried to make her hand move from his hand.
Edwin noticed what she wanted to do and looked at her with deep stares before whispering in a weak tone," Please."
Rebecca felt numb and moved her eyes from him and let him capture her hand because she knew he did that to make her feel safe. And she also needs that, the warmth, which only he could give her at this moment.
But is it worth it? Right now? When she could cry any time to see him this close.
'Rebecca, please don't cry and be strong. You need to do it. If you don't want to see his hating eyes.'
Only after comforting herself, she could hide her real emotion, and at last, she pretended to sleep the whole flight. Edwin knew she was awakened but didn't say anything.
Rebecca felt she was going to suffocate to think that the warmth she is feeling right now, is going to lose from her, after this flight.
Edwin looked at her sleeping face all the flight like this is the only chance he got to see her in this closeness without any worry.
'The flight is ready to land.' Hearing the announcement. Rebecca held his hand tightly, and she took a deep breath. Her nervous form again started to come.
"Relax, it will land soon," Edwin said out without turning to her.
Rebecca looked at him and then their hands which are interconnected perfectly.
Her eyes got tears while the flight finally landed on the ground.
Edwin turned to look at her, but Rebecca immediately moved her eyes from him, and then her hand.
Edwin felt lost to feel the warmth from his hand suddenly gone. While his eyes could not see her face as she turned her head in the opposite direction.
As they come out of the airport, Edwin's car is already there to pick them up.
Edwin went towards his car, but Rebecca stood in her place. She doesn't find a reason to go with him further anymore. Their destination already stopped here.
On the other side, Edwin suddenly notices Rebecca is not following her and when he looks at her, he got, that she's not moved from her place.
He turned towards her to walk and asked," Miss Rebecca, why are you not coming?" This is the first sentence he finally said to her.
Rebecca looked at him and mumbled in a lower tone," I can take a cab from here. Mr.Edwin. you don't need to go with me anymore."
He could feel why she was doing that. But he can't let her go in the cab when he is here.
"But I don't think like that, Miss…Rebecca. I can drop you home, before going back to my place." He announced firmly.
But Rebecca doesn't want to go with him. The more she watched him, the more she felt sorry. And this only brings her to feel hurt more.
"No need, I just said, I can take a cab. Sir."
Edwin's brows arched as he felt she was trying to mistrust him now.
"Miss Rebecca, Now are you going to unfollow your boss's order?" He felt something sting inside his heart.
And now he has only this way to stop her from disagreeing with him and like all the time.
Rebecca silently walked towards his car and looked at him one last time before entering the car.
Edwin felt dreadful about her silent and harsh treatment.
The car felt dead silent. As they both didn't look at each other at all. Where Edwin was looking at his phone, Rebecca was looking outside view. They both were desperate and upset about the confession incident.
Treating each other in a silent manner, they finally arrived, at Julia's apartment, down. Rebecca and Edwin were lost in their thoughts when the driver finally announced that he was already standing in front of the destination.
Only then do Rebecca and Edwin come back to their senses and look at the building with a deep insight in unison.
Rebecca silently gets out of the car, while the driver helps her to take her suitcase from the backseat.
Edwin didn't speak at all, silently watching the things.
But then the driver gave her a trolley and she thanked him with a small smile. Edwin's eyes noticed that through the car window and felt it had been too long since he saw her smile.
He was waiting for her to say something to him also. Like bye or anything.
But he thought too much, as she just glanced at him for a moment and then turned to her apartment.
Edwin's eyelashes turn down a little as he observes her back for a long moment until she stops showing to him.
He started to feel like they were going back again to a stranger. Where she looked at him without any personal affection.
"Sir, will I…" The driver wanted to ask if he should start driving or not.
But before he could complete his words.
Edwin's cold voice came to the ring.
"Let's go."
The driver immediately nodded and started the engine.
