Chapter 67: Chapter 67

"Mr. Mo, I would feel good if you have lunch here. My wife would also feel delightful since she loves to cook." Wen Hongxin said. Another reason for asking Mo Sheng to have lunch was because he liked Mo Sheng, his way of talking, and his way of carrying himself. The look of confidence that he had from the start was another commendable thing.

Mo Sheng did not feel right to reject him directly. Also, he could feel that Wen Hongxin did not look down on him despite his young age. Otherwise, he had come across many people who would look down on youngsters before trying to know their talents. He wondered if it was because Wen Hongxin also had a young son by himself who was single-handedly running the business. Thinking of this, he suddenly felt a surge of respect towards Wen Hongxin's son because despite being raised in a political family and his father being the mayor, he chose to venture towards business, that too by himself. Mo Sheng knew this because he had done his own research on the father-son duo before coming to meet them.

Thinking for a while, Mo Sheng agreed to have lunch there. So, the trio (Wen Hongxin, Mo Sheng, and Jay) headed to the hall. Father Wen went to inform Mother Wen who was busying herself in the kitchen. She really loved cooking. She was delighted when she heard that the guests were going to have lunch in their dwelling.

After Father Wen left to accompany the guests outside, Mother Wen called some maids to help her with cutting and chopping.

...

Upstairs, in her room, Kiara was working on her laptop when she felt thirsty. She looked around for water but found the mug empty. She sighed and took it downstairs to the kitchen to fill the water. To enter the kitchen, she had to pass the hall first.

She was whistling while coming down the stairs when she saw a face that was very familiar to her.

Mo Sheng was sitting in such a way that he was facing the stairs. Jay was sitting on the side, whereas Wen Hongxin was seated opposite to Mo Sheng. When he heard a whistling sound, he raised his head to follow the sound. But never in his dreams did he think that he would see someone whom he never expected to meet ever again.

Both of them froze, meeting each other's eyes. Kiara was the first one to break the silence. "Mr. Driver?" she stuttered, pointing at Mo Sheng.

Hearing her voice, Father Wen also turned back. He saw his daughter pointing at Mo Sheng. "Kiara, do you know him?" he asked.

"He is Mr. Driver," Kiara said, still lost in her own world. She knew he was not the driver, but she could not control her mouth.

Her father was shocked. "What driver? He is Mr. Mo, the great Mo Family's youngest master." Father Wen was flustered by her daughter's words. He was afraid that she would offend him with her careless remarks.

Now this time, Kiara was really shocked. She could not believe her ears. Suddenly her expression changed drastically and she rushed to Mo Sheng. Standing a few steps away from him, she put her hands on her waist and started scolding him. "You, You are lying, right? Now I understand, you had eyes on my family since earlier. You also made a perfect plan so that we would meet at the airport. Do you think you can fool me? And what? Youngest master of Mo Family, my foot! Do you think I am blind?" She was about to jump on him when Father Wen hastily pulled his daughter back.

Jack was stunned at the side. He could not fathom what was going on. One second he would look at his boss, and the next second his eyes would turn to Kiara.

"Kiara, what are you saying?" Father Wen asked, trying to calm his daughter. But before she could speak more, Kiara raised her palm at her father and said, "Dad, this man is trying to fool you. But don't worry, your smart daughter will handle this pervert."

Saying that, she grabbed Mo Sheng's collar and bellowed at him, "Who sent you after my family? Spit everything out, or else I am going to call the police right now. You should have seen my father's bodyguards outside, right? Speak if you don't wanna be beaten to a pulp."

Only then did Mo Sheng come to his sense. He was about to reply to her earlier, but when she called him a pervert, his mind froze. He agrees that he is very handsome and many girls fall for him, but how does it make him a pervert?

He loosened her hands around his collar by pushing her hand down. He then looked at her from the corner of his eyes and said, "Nice to meet you too, Ms. THUG!" He then rolled his eyes and met her eyes, "But I did not like your welcome gesture. As for what- pervert? I hope this will clear your MISUNDERSTANDING." Saying that, he handed his ID Card to her.

Narrowing her eyes at him, Kiara slowly took the ID, and the next second his ID card fell from her hands. It was obviously because of shock. "His surname is really a Mo." She thought to herself. Feeling everyone's eyes on her, she slowly raised her head and gave an awkward smile to Mo Sheng. She did not know what to say anymore, she was tongue-tied because of her own stupidity. How could she think of him being a stalker just like that?

"Hehe, You should have spoken earlier. Then, there would have been no misunderstanding, right?" She said while spanking his arms as if they were close friends. When she did not get any response from him, she awkwardly took her hand back and the smile slowly drained out of her face.

The next second, she lowered her head and apologized. "I am sorry." She was not apologizing because of his status, but because she called him a pervert and a stalker. She knew how much of a bad word they were.

Father Wen also apologized to Mo Sheng. "Mr. Mo, I apologize for my daughter's silliness."

"It's nothing, Mr. Wen. Mistakes happen." Mo Sheng then turned to Kiara and said, "But this silly daughter of yours really don't know how to stop, right Ms. thug?"

That Ms. Thug rolling from his tongue like that was getting on Kiara's nerves. But she controlled herself from snapping back, and she just gave him a small smile.

Just then, Mother Wen announced that the lunch was ready. Father Wen walked with Mo Sheng, while Kiara followed them behind with the mug in her hand. She had forgotten that she was there to fetch water.

After getting water, she was about to head upstairs back to her room, but Mother Wen stopped her. "Where are you going? Have lunch first. Then you are free to go wherever you want."

At her words, Kiara obediently sat down and got herself the plate and chopstick.

...

After lunch, they talked for a while more before taking their leave. Mo Sheng was surprised to see Kiara standing outside.

When she saw him walking out, she hurried to him and said, "Sorry for the misunderstanding. I hope that you don't let our bickering come in between yours and my dad's work." She was afraid that her parents would suffer because of her. That's the last thing she wanted.

Mo Sheng raised his eyes at her words. "Oh? I did not know Ms. Thug was also able to say sorry. Anyway, it's not a big deal. Moreover, your dad does not need my help, it's the other way around." Leaving his words, he left coolly.

Kiara continued staring at the pathway through which they left and then walked in after a while. She did not expect him to still talk nicely with her after what she had done. "Maybe he is not as bad as I thought," she told herself. She had a lot of works to do, and she did not have the time to waste thinking about irrelevant subjects.

...

In the car, Jay congratulated Mo Sheng, "Congratulations, Boss. The meeting went as planned, and the mayor has also agreed to co-operate."

Mo Sheng did not comment on anything. The scene from earlier was playing in his head. Kiara called him a pervert, stalker, and so on. He was hearing these words for himself for the first time, and it was all from the same girl. He then remembered her guilty expression. He chuckled when he was reminded of her expression, it was as if she had eaten something foul.

"What are you laughing at, boss?" Jay asked, confused. There was no one in the car except for the two. So, why was he laughing like that? It was creepy.

Mo Sheng's smile disappeared when he heard Jay's words. He quickly cleared his throat and replied, "It's nothing. You just drive carefully." With that, he shut his eyes, pretending to feel tired as he was afraid of another question from Jay.
