Chapter 64: Chapter 64

Another City,

Mo Sheng sighed as he got off the plane. He wanted to curse at his brother for using him, but there was nothing he could do other than a sigh. "Sigh! This truly will sacrifice himself this one time."

Even while walking out, he was wondering if he should have worn a mask and sunglasses. "I am just too handsome for humankind. Seeing my handsome face, I am afraid girls would fall on my way just as the petals from a flower. Tsk, having a pretty face is really troublesome."

But who would tell this young master that he was not looking any special with those dark circles under his eyes and the wrinkly clothes? They were all thanks to the overexcitement during the night due to which he could not sleep a wink.

His eyes furrowed when he did not see any cars waiting for him. Usually, someone from the company would be waiting for him with the car, but today he did not see anyone waiting for him. Just as he was contemplating on what to do, a call came through. After he received it, a shivering voice came from the other side, “M… Mr. Mo?”

“Yes, it’s me. Who is it?” Mo Shan frowned as he did not recognize the number.

“Sir, I am Jay. I was told to receive you from the airport, but the car broke down on the way. I got someone to come and mend it, but he is saying it will take some time. Can you take a cab or should I call someone from the company to get you?” The man on the other side was clearly nervous as he did not know how Mo Sheng would react. If Mo Sheng came to be very arrogant, then he (Jay) could even lose his job, so he was only a step away from shedding tears.

Just as he was biting his nails in worry, he heard Mo Sheng reply, “It’s okay. I will just take a cab and directly go to the company. You can come back after getting the car repaired.

Jay was instantly relieved and thanked Mo Sheng repeatedly.

Mo Sheng was feeling annoyed with his repeated thanks, so he directly hung up the call. “So, let’s take a cab, shall we?” Mo Sheng whispered to himself. As he said that, he started walking leisurely to the cab station just outside the airport.

A cab driver saw him coming and came to ask where he wanted to go. Mo Sheng gave the address and handed his suitcase to load inside the trunk. The driver hurriedly tucked the suitcase in. “Do you have drinking water here?” Mo Sheng asked the driver as he was feeling thirsty.

The cab driver checked his bottle but realized that it was empty. “Sir, I don’t have it. Let me go and buy one. It won’t take long.” As he said that, he hurried to the stall which was selling dry foods and water.

Now Mo Sheng was all alone there. As the driver was taking time, Mo Sheng decided to get in the cab for now as he was afraid that he would get tan from standing under the sun. Just as he was about to reach the door handle, another pale, slim hand came from his side and opened the door.

Mo Sheng thought that it was the driver and said, "Thank y..." The rest of the words died down his throat when the door was closed in front of his face with a 'bang'. Mo Sheng froze for a second, not knowing what just happened.

A voice brought him back to his sense. “Driver, please get in and drive. Quickly!” It was a girl’s voice. Mo Sheng froze a second time. “Driver? Who?”

A hand came in front of his face just as he was in a daze. "Oh, hello. Mr. Driver, let's go. Quick! I am in hurry."

Finally, Mo Sheng was conscious enough to reply back. But before a word could come out of his mouth, the girl inside the cab quickly lowered down. She put a finger on her mouth, indicating him not to talk.

Just then, Mo Sheng heard pair of footsteps behind him. When he turned to look who they were, he found two burly men looking like searching for something. He saw them whisper to each other and leave after a while. Only then did the girl hiding inside the cab peek out, only showing her eyes.

"Don't worry. They are gone." Mo Sheng nonchalantly stated. The girl then gave him an awkward smile while getting back on the seat.

Mo Sheng looked at her and asked, "Are you a thug?"

The smile on her face faded away when she heard his words. "Thug? Did she look like a thug? Has anyone seen a pretty girl like me being a thug?" She wondered to herself. Glaring at him, she replied, "I think you have some eye problems. You should get them checked. Now, hurry, just get in, and drive, Mr. Driver."

She has just called him driver three times. No one has dared to talk to him like this. "Look, Madam."

"No, I am not looking." The girl cut his words off before he could begin. She then coolly adjusted her sunglasses.

At that moment, the cab driver finally arrived there. "Sir, here is your water." He said as he handed the water to Mo Sheng. Then, he finally saw the girl standing inside. The driver was confused and asked, "Sir, is she someone you know?"

When the girl inside realized that they were talking about her, she looked outside. She was surprised to find one more man standing there. "Who are you?" she asked, feeling confused.

"I am this cab's driver, Ma'am." The driver answered.

Finally, that sentence got the girl's attention. She looked genuinely confused. "If you are driver, then who is this man?" She asked, pointing her finger at Mo Sheng.

The driver looked awkward and embarrassed as he replied, "This sir is my customer."

The girl turned stiff at his answer. She slowly turned her head to look at Mo Sheng. And what she saw was Mo Sheng smirking at her. She was speechless.

"But you can't blame me, right?" She spoke, rolling her eyes. "This real Mr. Driver here looks more handsome than you. So everyone can get confused."

The driver blushed, while Mo Sheng gritted his teeth to control his anger.

"Shut your nonsense and get out. This cab is booked by me. You can get lost." Mo Sheng ordered coldly.

Before she could give him a befitting reply, Mo Sheng said again, "Either get out or I will call the people from earlier. They were searching for you, right? Do you want me to be a good man and call them back?" It was clearly a threat from his side.

Finally, the girl fell silent. Glaring at him, she stepped out. "Anyway, who would want to sit together with you? I was going to come out anyways, hmph!" She spat out and then walked away while swaying her hips in those high heels.

"Must be bad luck," Mo Sheng whispered and got in the cab.

The cab drove away after a while.
